본 연구는 J교육대학교 기록관 이용자들을 대상으로 기록정보서비스에 대한 인식 및 경험을 조사하고 이를 바탕으로 서비스 개선방안을 도출하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 아카이브 매트릭스 프로젝트(Archival Metrics Project)에서 대학기록관의 기록정보서비스를 평가하기 위해 개발한 이용자 설문지를 수정하여 사용하였으며 이용자들의 기록관에 대한 인식, 이용현황, 직원에 대한 평가, 시설 및 서비스에 대한 만족도 등을 파악하였다. 본 연구는 47명에 대한 이용자 설문 결과와 기록연구사와의 면담결과를 바탕으로 기록관의 서비스 개선방안을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to examine users’ perceptions of and experiences about archival reference services in a university archive. The study uses the Researcher Survey provided by the Archival Metrics Project to understand users’ perceptions about the university archive and users’ satisfaction level of facilities and services. Based on the results of the survey among 47 users and the interview with the archivist working in the university archive, this study suggests recommendations for improving archival reference services.

본 연구는 이용자, 이용 중단자, 비이용자의 공공도서관에 대한 인식수준의 차이 및 공공도서관 비이용 요인에 대한 집단 간 인식수준의 차이를 파악하여 이용 중단자 집단과 비이용자 집단을 이용자 집단으로 유입할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구를 위해 문헌분석과 설문조사 결과의 통계적 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 이용자, 이용 중단자, 비이용자 집단 간 공공도서관에 대한 인식 및 공공도서관 비이용 요인 인식에 있어 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 분석결과를 바탕으로 이용 중단자와 비이용자의 공공도서관 인식에 대한 공통 요인, 비이용 요인 및 이용 중단 요인을 나누어 파악하고 이를 개선하기 위한 고려 사항을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to develop measures to turn former users and non-users of public libraries back into users by understanding the differences between the user, former user and non-user groups in terms of their perceptions to public libraries, as well as the differences between these groups in their perceptions regarding the factors to non-use of public libraries. A literature review and statistical analysis of the results from a questionnaire survey were conducted to identify the differences. The results from the statistical analysis showed significant differences between the user, former user and non-user groups in terms of their perceptions to public libraries and the non-use factors. From the results, we could categorize the factors into common non-use factors, non-use-only factors, and use interrupt factors, and we develop suggestions to improve the factors in order to move non-users and former users to frequent users of the public libraries.

본 연구는 정보광장 담당 사서를 대상으로 정보광장 의미와 목적, 새로운 도서관 환경에서의 역할, 도서관의 본질과 발전 방향, 그리고 정보광장 이용행태에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 총 28명을 인터뷰한 결과 정보광장에 대한 사서의 인식은 1) 정보광장의 전통적인 학술 연구 기능만을 강조하여 이를 학술연구 시설로만 이해하는 유형, 2) 정보광장을 학술연구를 위한 물리적 공간으로 이해하면서 아울러 문화융복합적 기능을 강조하는 유형, 3) 정보광장을 창조적 기능이 강조된 학술문화 복합시설로 이해하는 유형의 3가지로 대별되었다. 이는 정보광장 이용자 이용행태에 대한 평가와 도서관의 발전 방향에 대한 인식과 밀접히 연관되어 있는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study examined librarians’ perceptions of Information Commons(I.C.), user’s information seeking behaviors, and new role of library in the digital ages. Interviews with 28 librarians found that the perceptions of the librarians were widely differed depending on their understandings of the nature of the space. The interview results were divided into three different categories of librarians: the librarians; 1) understanding library as a place only with academic functions, 2) library as academic place along with multi-cultural functions, and 3) library as open learning space with focus on creativity and discovery of users. The findings also indicated that all these perceptions are closely related to understanding of the role of library and its future development.
