본 연구는 청소년의 가상 정보 공간에서의 일상적인 활동을 위한 정보 이용 행태에 관해 살펴보았다. 기존의 물리적 정보 공간의 개념을 가상 정보 공간으로 확장하였고, 청소년 시기의 특징을 반영하여 다양한 일상적인 활동과 또래집단을 고려하였다. 이를 위하여 서울시 중고등학생을 대상으로 사전 면담 및 설문조사를 실시하였고, 청소년들의 가상 정보 공간과 정보 이용에 대한 양상을 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통해 학교도서관에서 청소년들을 위한 교육 프로그램 및 서비스 제공 시에 고려할 수 있는 시사점을 제안하였고, 추후 학교도서관에서의 정보 서비스 기획에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study investigates the information use behavior of Korean youths in a virtual information grounds. The concept of a physical information ground is expanded to include virtual spaces. A variety of hobbies and peer groups of Korean youths are considered to determine the characteristics of these youths. The study was formulated and conducted using group interviews for pretest and a survey given to respondents who are junior high and high school students in Seoul. It is expected that the findings and proposals will be used for planning educational programs and information services in school libraries.

최근 문화유산기관에 대한 이용 요구가 복합화 되어 가는 가운데 미국에서 도서관, 기록관, 박물관의 기능을 통합한 라키비움의 개념이 제시되었고, 이후 국내 정보학계에서는 관련 연구가 유수 진행되었다. 그러나 라키비움은 아직까지 현실적으로 구현되지 않은 기관이므로 이에 관한 선행 연구들 또한 이론적인 전개에 중심을 두고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 국내의 도서관, 기록관, 박물관을 대상으로 라키비움 리모델링에 필요한 기관 현황 분석 활동 계획을 수립하였다. 방법적으로는 기존 라키비움 공간기획 연구의 절차를 정밀화하였고 분석 도구로는 관련 법률과 지침 등을 활용하여, 보다 현실적인 라키비움 공간기획의 실행 방안을 제안하였다.
Abstract
There are increasing needs for complex information services for user of cultural heritage institution recently. And the concept of “Larchiveum”, merging of functions of libraries, archives and museums, is suggested in United States and researches associated with this concept are progressed on Korean information science. At present, however, the larchiveum has not been materialized, and hence researches focus on theoretical frameworks. Therefore, this study establishes plans for an analysis with planning of institutions that libraries, archives and museums are remodeled into larchiveum. Methodologically, the research processes of existing larchiveum spatial planning are specified. More realistic implementing measures for larchiveum spatial planning are suggested through utilization of related law & guidelines as analysis tools.

다양한 최신 정보기기가 학업과 여가를 위한 일상 속 정보이용에서 매우 폭넓게 사용되고 있는 최근 동향을 볼 때, 학생들의 정보기기 활용행태에 대한 이해는 정보행동연구에서 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 차세대 과학기술발전을 담당할 주역인 과학기술전공 대학생과 대학원생들이 그들의 일상 속에서 사용하고 있는 정보기기의 유형과 사용 목적, 그리고, 최신 스마트 정보기기의 활용도와 활용 패턴 등을 조사하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 대학생과 대학원생의 정보기기활용 패턴을 비교하는 한편, 학업과 비학업 영역에서의 활용패턴도 함께 비교분석하였다. 연구방법으로 일상관찰기록법과 설문지법을 사용하여 국내 4개 대학에 재학 중인 총 83명의 과학기술전공 학생을 대상으로 조사하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 넷세대 과학기술전공 대학(원)생들의 스마트기기를 포함한 총체적 정보기기 활용 패턴을 그들의 일상생활을 통해 파악함으로써 차세대 과학기술자들을 위한 정보서비스 및 시스템 설계에 토대가 될 기초자료를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
This study purported to study the uses of information and communication technology (ICT) tools in their daily life among the undergraduate and graduate students majoring science and engineering. It also examined the purposes of the uses of the major ICT tools, the differences in their information technology uses between graduate and undergraduate students. The data were collected from 83 undergraduate and graduate students from four universities using content analysis of an observational logs and a survey questionnaire. The observational logs were collected using an instant message application available on a smart phone. Study results revealed desktop computers, laptop computers, and smart phones as the three most heavily used ICT tools among the participants and typical situations students use each of the three tools. There were also sharp distinctions between graduate and undergraduate students in their selection of the tools, and distinctions between work and non-work situations. The findings of this study can be used to redesign information services and systems for the scientists and engineers in the next generation.
