이 연구에서는 한국형 포털에 적합한 커뮤니티 기반 개인화 검색 서비스 모형을 제안하였다. 개인화 검색 서비스 모형은 이용자의 관심 주제를 파악하는 과정과 이를 반영한 검색 결과 재순위화 및 관련 주제 카테고리와 질의어 추천 과정으로 구성된다. 개인화 검색 모형의 유용성을 검증하기 위한 실험에서는 포털 사이트 다음에서 12일간 수집한 이용자 로그 데이터를 사용하였다. 실험 결과 개별 이용자의 주제 카테고리 선정에 사용한 카페 활동성 분석과 신지식 활동성 분석 데이터는 매우 유용한 것으로 나타났으며, 개인화 검색 결과와 추천 서비스에 대한 만족도도 비교적 높게 나타났다.
Abstract
This study proposes an expanded model of personalized search service based on community activities on a Korean Web portal. The model is composed of defining subject categories of users, providing personalized search results, and recommending additional subject categories and queries. Several experiments were performed to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed model. It was found that users’ activities on community services provide valuable data for identifying their interests, and the personalized search service increases users’ satisfaction.

이 연구는 현재 운영되고 있는 KOLIS-NET의 두 가지 핵심 시스템인 ‘KOLIS-NET 클라이언트 통합형 시스템’과 ‘KOLIS-NET 일반이용자 검색용 시스템’의 품질 수준을 유용성과 사용성의 평가기준을 적용하여 평가하고 개선과제를 제시한 것이다. ‘KOLIS-NET 클라이언트 통합형’ 시스템의 경우 업무 프로세스별 시스템의 유용성 평가로서, 검색성과 사용 용이성, 사용자 지원성을 주된 평가 항목으로 설정하였으며, 각각의 평가 항목에 대해 연구팀과 실제 업무를 하고 있는 사서들 간의 브레인스토밍 기법과 심층면담 기법을 통해 평가결과를 도출하였다. 한편 ‘일반이용자 검색용 시스템’에 대한 평가는 시스템 사용의 편이성 관점에서 진행되었으며, 다양한 사용성 평가 방법 중에서 인지평가 방법을 사용하였다. 마지막으로 도출된 문제점과 개선 과제를 화면 재설계, 용어 표준화, 기능 개선, 신규 기능의 네 가지로 범주화하여 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to evaluate KOLIS-NET system by usefulness testing of ‘KOLIS-NET client integrated system’ and by usability testing of ‘KOLIS-NET web site’. For evaluating the usefulness of the system, we used searching, ease of use, customer support as criteria, and used brainstorming and in-depth interview as evaluation method. On the other hand, for usability testing of the web site, we used cognitive walkthrough. Evaluation results are categorized and represented as page redesign, term consistency, function improvement and new functionality.
