초록

본 연구는 이용자교육의 활성화를 위하여 공공도서관 어린이 이용자교육 교수학습지도안을 개발하는데 목적이 있다. 교수학습지도안 개발을 위해 문헌조사를 통하여 초등학교 3, 4학년을 이용자교육 대상으로 선정하고 이용자교육 내용으로 오리엔테이션 교육을 도출하였다. 교수학습지도안에 적용할 학습모형으로 학습자의 자발적이고 주체적인 교육 참여와 교수자의 역할을 구체적으로 설계할 수 있는 Jonassen의 구성주의 학습환경 모형을 선정하였다. 교수학습지도안 개발을 위해 먼저 구성주의 학습환경 모형을 분석하고 이용자교육에 적용하여 이용자교육 학습환경과 교수활동을 설계하였다. 이를 바탕으로 교수학습지도안을 작성하여 유용성과 적합성 평가를 진행하였으며 평가에서 제안된 사항을 반영하여 공공도서관 어린이 이용자교육 교수학습지도안을 개발하였다.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the lesson plan of public library user education for children for the activation of user education. For the development of lesson plan, elementary school 3rd and 4th graders were selected as user education subjects through the literature survey, and orientation were derived as contents of user education. This study developed a lesson plan that applies Jonassen’s constructivist learning environments to specifically design the librarian’s role as teacher in user education with voluntary and subjective education participation of the children. Lesson plan was evaluated in terms of usefulness and appropriateness.

The purpose of this study is to induce the activation of public libraries in community through make use of public libraries as a plan for accomplishing regional informatization which based on regionalization and informatization. To acquire the twin goal of regional informatization and activation of public libraries, I propose a strategic plan which makes use of regional public libraries as an infrastructure of educating informatization and community-network concept. 초록

본 연구는 공공도서관의 가치평가를 위한 새로운 접근방법을 모색하였다. 기존에 사용되던 가상가치평가법의 한계점을 지적하였으며, 아울러 이를 개선하기 위한 대안으로 Dissonance Minimizing(DM) 포맷을 적용한 가상가치평가법을 제시하였다. 가치평가의 도구로는 비용편익분석이 사용되었고 비용에는 서비스에 투입된 총 비용을, 편익에는 서비스에 대한 이용자의 지불의사금액 (willingness to pay)을 적용하였다. 그리고 사례분석을 통해 ‘J 공공도서관’의 가치를 추정하여 DM 포맷이 공공도서관의 가치를 평가하는데 어떻게 사용되어지는지 보여주었다.

Abstract

This study aims to present a new approach to measuring the economic value of the public libraries, identifying and suggesting the modified contingent valuation method (CVM) application. The modified CVM, which applied Dissonance Minimizing (DM) format, is presented as a new approach. A cost-benefit analysis is used as a tool to determine if the benefits of public libraries outweigh the cost incurred in providing the services. The benefits of public libraries are based on estimates of how much the user is willing to pay for the library services and costs are based on the prices of providing the services. A comparison between two methods are conducted in a case study in order to measure the economic value of 'J Public Library'. The study also conducts a case study to analyse the WTP value of the 'J Public Library' and demonstrates how public libraries approach the their local studies.

Abstract

This study reports on the motivational use of special libraries from a user’s perspective that investigated four motivational components: attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction (ARCS) of the library users. Even though special libraries received relatively little attention compared to public libraries, special libraries could fill the niche of public libraries for the special and specific needs of the community in the current library environments in South Korea. Qualitative data were collected through individual interviews and forty people participated in the project. The findings of this study show the four themes (ARCS) that users need motivation as a way to start using a special library, thereby staying focused and revisiting the library. It is possible that the ARCS model will contribute to the implementation, application, and practice of both special libraries and their services in the library environment. The results are expected to expand our knowledge on the motivational ARCS use of special libraries and to serve as basic data when designing motivational strategies and plans of the systems for special libraries.

사회가 발전하면서 자원봉사는 보편화되어 가고 있으며, 공공도서관 자원봉사도 양적, 질적 증가를 보이고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 공공도서관 자원봉사의 운영과 관리 실태를 분석하고 공공도서관 자원봉사의 활성화를 도모하기 위하여, 먼저 공공도서관 자원봉사에 대한 이론적 배경을 살펴본 후, 설문조사를 통하여 현재 우리나라 공공도서관 자원봉사의 운영과 관리 실태를 기획부문, 자원봉사자 관리부문, 행정부문으로 나누어 조사하고, 이를 바탕으로 공공도서관 자원봉사의 활성화 방안과 전망을 제시함으로써 도서관 자원봉사의 운영 및 관리에 대한 이해 증진에 일조함에 그 목적이 있다.

Abstract

As the volunteer activity has become universal, volunteers of public libraries have also grown both quantitatively and qualitatively. In this context, this study builds a theoretical background on the volunteer activity of public libraries; examines the volunteer activity management of public libraries using survey method including its planning, personal management and administration; and suggests some recommendations to promote the voluntary activity of public libraries. By so doing, this study aims at enhancing our understanding on the volunteer activity management of public libraries.

이 연구는 공공도서관의 서비스품질(인쇄형태 출판물과 인터넷 및 전자자원, 문화프로그램 및 서비스, 도서관시설 및 환경, 직원)이 공공도서관의 이용에 따른 전반적인 만족도 및 불평의도, 충성도(재이용의도 포함)에 미치는 영향을 밝히기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 대구지역 8개 공공도서관의 이용자 443명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 선행연구에 대한 분석을 통해 제시한 인과적 모델을 설문데이터를 바탕으로 경로분석(path analysis)을 이용하여 검증하였다. 분석결과 인쇄형태 출판물과 문화프로그램 및 서비스, 도서관시설 및 환경, 직원은 각각 이용자의 전반적인 만족도에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 도서관시설 및 환경의 품질은 공공도서관 이용자의 만족도와 충성도에 광범위한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

Abstract

This study investigates the influences of the service quality of public libraries, including printed publications, internet and electronic materials, culture programs and service, library environment and facilities, and library staff, on the general satisfaction of the users, complaining intentions, and loyalty including reuse intentions. It develops a library user satisfaction model and testifies it through path analysis using questionnaires from 443 public library users in Daegu Metropolitan City area. This study shows that service qualities of printed publications, culture programs and service, library environment and facilities, and library staff influence significantly on the general satisfaction of the users, and that service quality of library environment and facilities is the major variable which influences satisfaction and loyalty of the public library.

공공도서관에서 이용자의 지적․문화적 욕구를 충족시키기 위해 제공하는 문화 프로그램의 하나로 전시의 비중이 높아지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 공공도서관에서 운영하는 순회전시 운영 방식과 홍보 방법의 차이를 알아보고 순회전시의 이용 정도에 따른 이용자의 인식 차이를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 ‘책 속 인물에게 보내는 한글 손 편지’ 수상작 순회전시를 연구 프로그램으로 선정하여 5개 공공도서관의 이용자 총 385명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 순회전시의 운영 방식에 따라 전시 이용에 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, ‘전시 홍보물’과 ‘도서관 홈페이지’는 순회전시 홍보를 위한 유용한 수단으로 나타났다. 또한 순회전시를 적극적으로 이용한 이용자의 도서관 이용, 순회전시 효과, 순회전시 평가가 소극적인 이용자보다 높게 나타났다. 분석 결과를 통해 순회전시의 이용을 높일 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

Abstract

Public libraries provide a variety of services for users to meet their intellectual and cultural needs. Thus, the proportion of exhibitions as one of the cultural programs offered by the libraries has been increasing. The purpose of this study is to find out the differences of operation method and promotion method of traveling exhibition hosted by public libraries and to verify the differences of users’ perception according to the degree of use of the traveling exhibition. For this purpose, a research program, the traveling exhibition of the award-winning works: the Hangeul Hand Letters to the People in Books of the National Library for Children and Young Adults, was selected. A survey was conducted on a total of 385 users from five public libraries. As a result, there were significant differences in the use of traveling exhibition among library users, depending on the operation method of traveling exhibition of the public libraries. And, the ‘promotional material’ and ‘library homepage’ were proven to be a useful way to promote the traveling exhibition. Also, the overall use of library, the effect of traveling exhibition, and the evaluation of traveling exhibition of the users who actively used the traveling exhibition were higher than those of the users who passively used it. Based on the findings, methods to increase the use of the traveling exhibition were suggested.

최근 들어 다양한 분야에서 VR 기술을 활용한 콘텐츠가 점차 증가하고 있으며 기술 또한 급속도로 보급되는 추세이다. 이러한 배경에서 공공도서관 또한 시대의 흐름에 따라 VR 기술을 활용한 서비스를 제공할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 공공도서관의 교육적, 문화적 기능을 고려한 VR 기반 교육문화프로그램을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 VR 프로그램이 진행되고 있는 국내․외 공공도서관 및 산업군 사례 조사 그리고 선행연구, 이론분석을 통해 적용점 및 시사점을 도출하였으며 이를 종합, 검토하여 공공도서관에서의 VR 기반 교육문화프로그램을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 VR 기반 교육문화프로그램은 향후 공공도서관에서 VR 기반 교육문화프로그램 기획을 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Abstract

Recently, content using VR technology in various fields is gradually increasing, and the technology is also rapidly spreading. Against this background, public libraries also need to provide services using VR technology according to the flow of the times. Therefore, this study drew application points through the investigation and analysis of domestic and foreign public libraries where VR programs are underway. And based on this, a final proposal is prepared after planning and reviewing VR-based educational and cultural programs in public libraries. VR-based educational and cultural programs introduced can be used as basic data for planning VR-based cultural programs in public library.

본 연구는 공공도서관 사서의 전문직성에 대한 공공도서관 사서와 도서관 이용대상자 간의 인식 차이 및 실태를 브랜딩 및 브랜드 커뮤니케이션 관점에서 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 공공도서관 사서와 도서관 이용대상자를 대상으로 설문조사를 통한 통계적 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 공공도서관 및 공공도서관 사서 전문직 특성, 전문직으로서의 공공도서관 사서 각각의 브랜드에 대해 공공도서관 사서와 도서관 이용대상자 간의 브랜드 커뮤니케이션은 활발하지 않은 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 브랜드 커뮤니케이션의 개선을 위해 도서관 이용대상자를 대상으로 한 공공도서관 및 사서의 직업윤리, 사회적 사명감, 개인적 신념 특성 보유와 관련된 외부 브랜딩과 사서를 대상으로 한 전문직으로서의 사서 및 업무 몰입도, 전문성 특성 보유와 관련된 내부 브랜딩의 필요성을 제안하였다.

Abstract

This study attempts to investigate the perception of professionalism of librarians in public libraries and difference in that regard between librarians and library users in terms of branding and brand communication. To achieve this goal, a series of statistical analysis was conducted using a questionnaire survey of librarians in public libraries and library users. The results showed that brand communication between public librarians and library users is inactivated for each element. Therefore, they need external branding that relates to the public libraries and librarians characteristics in professionalism for library users and internal branding that relates to librarian’s professionalism and the expertise of librarians so as to improve brand communication further.

본 연구는 공공도서관의 이용자 수에 어떠한 요인들이 얼마만큼의 영향을 미치는 지를 종합적으로 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울지역 공립 공공도서관 55개를 대상으로 각 도서관의 연간 이용자 수에 영향을 미치는 요인을 크게 5가지 측면, 즉 인적측면, 장서측면, 예산측면, 행사측면, 기타측면에서 분석하였다. 그 결과 공공도서관의 좌석 수가 도서관 이용자 수와 가장 큰 상관관계가 있고, 이어 건물연면적과 사서 수 역시 비교적 높은 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 회귀모형의 유의성을 검증하고자 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과에서는 오직 좌석 수만이 도서관의 이용자 수에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 향후 공공도서관에서의 이용자 수 확보를 위한 방안을 수립할 때 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to comprehensively analyze which kind of factors have an effect on the number of users in the public libraries. For this, this study analyzed various factors, such as personnel, collection, budget, event, influenced on the number of their users of 55 public libraries in Seoul. The results of this study indicated that the number of users in the public libraries is influenced by the number of their seat, librarian, the building size and the number of librarian. Besides, the result of multiple regression analysis to verify these regression models was revealed that the factor influenced on the number of users of public libraries is only the number of seat. The result of this study is expected to practically use in establishing the plan to increase the number of their users in public libraries.
