본 연구에서는 OAIS 참조 모형을 구체적으로 발전시킨, 사실상의 보존 메타데이터 표준인 PREMIS 데이터모델과 데이터사전을 사무문서에 적용하기 위한 사무문서 컨텐츠모형을 개발하였다. 대상 문서는 ‘A사 B국 해외 석유사업 및 유전개발 문서’로 국가 차원 이상의 영구 보존 가치를 지니는 문서 컬렉션이다. PREMIS 데이터모델을 사무문서에 구체적으로 적용하기 위하여 PREMIS 모델 내의 지적개체에 대한 문서 차원의 개념 정립과 이해를 시도하였다. 즉, 문서 컨텐츠의 계층을 구분하는 원칙과 구조를 설계하였고 그에 맞추어 사무문서 컨텐츠를 대상으로 한 계층 모형을 만들어 사무문서 컨텐츠모형을 도출하였다. 이 과정에서 기록물 기술 규칙을 준수하였다.

Abstract

This study presents a contents model designed for business records that require long-term preservation. The contents model is based on the PREMIS(Preservation Metadata: Implementation Strategies) data model and the ISAD(G)(General International Standard Archival Description). The study selected the record collection of “the records of the overseas petroleum business and oil field development of A company located in B country.” This collection requires permanent preservations by the nation and even beyond. It was attempted to establish the concepts of intellectual objects in the PREMIS data model to apply the PREMIS data model to the business records specifically. In other words, the study established the principles for differentiation of the classes in the record contents and the hierarchy structure, and the hierarchy model was developed for business records contents to derive the business records model based on those principles.

In this study it is intended to develop the ontology which can express the relation between objects with emphasis on the structural representation of semantics. Its interoperability with other kinds of previous ontology and metadata was also considered so that the developed ontology may be applicable to the real situation. The ABC Ontology can get extended into another field where the application of the concept of event is possible, for ABC Ontology provides the fundamental framework on the axis of event. In this study it is Music where ABC Ontology can be applied properly, which results in creating Music Ontology. Music Ontology provides the infrastructure of knowledge for reasoning of potential meaning as well as the simple semantic connection of terms. The extended model of ABC Ontology has been developed by applying Music Ontology, which is the domain ontology and conveys meaning, to ABC Ontology that represents the whole framework. The representation of conceptual relation in ABC Ontology turns into the association of the framework and meaning in the extended model of ABC Ontology, with reasoning rules which are typical in ontology. 본 연구에서는 셀프 아카이빙(self-archiving)을 기본으로 메타데이터가 구축되는 기관 리포지터리의 인명 검색 문제점을 해결하고자, 인명 접근점제어 데이터를 구축하였다. 이를 위해 기존 도서관의 전거데이터를 활용하면서도 전거형을 인정하지 않고, 정보원에 기재된 형식을 모두 접근점으로 사용하는 그룹화 방법을 사용하고, 동명이인 처리를 위해 저작자의 주제분야와 저작정보를 확장해서 사용하는 새로운 방법을 토대로 인명 접근점제어 데이터를 구축하고 시스템에 적용하여 검색의 기능이 향상되었다. 향후 기관 리포지터리 외에 도서관이 총괄하는 모든 메타데이터의 검색 기능 향상을 위해서도 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

Abstract

This study developed a name access point control system for better performance of information retrieval from institutional repositories, which are equipped with author- generated metadata processes for self-archiving. In developing name access point control data for the system, the primary data were created from the existing authority. However, unlike the existing authority data, the primary data did not use any authority forms. Instead, the data utilized all the forms provided by the resources as access points. Specifically, field of activity(subject) and title information on authorship were used to distinguish between persons who have the same name. The result showed that the system improved the performance of the information retrieval. The system has been also expected to be utilized over other metadata provided by libraries, in addition to the institutional repositories, in order to provide better quality information.
