이 연구는 국내 전문도서관을 대상으로 서비스 품질 차원 변수들의 이용자 만족도에 대한 상관성, 상대적 영향력, 차별적 영향력을 분석하여 이용자 만족도의 결정요인을 찾아내고, 이를 근거로 전문도서관의 이용자 만족도를 증대시키기 위한 경영개선의 실질적 방안을 찾고자 하였다. 괴리이론을 이용한 설문조사 결과 전문도서관 이용자들의 도서관 서비스에 대한 인식은 최소치에도 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 서비스 품질 차원의 변수들과 만족도 영역간의 영향력의 상관관계를 분석하여 그 결과를 근거로 이용자 만족도를 효율적으로 증대시키기 위한 경영개선의 우선순위를 제안하고자 하였다.
Abstract
By exploring plausible relations between factors of service quality and user satisfaction, this study has derived significant determinants of user satisfaction. Based on the analytical findings, this study suggested practical measures to enhance user satisfaction of special libraries. If we determine the priority order of three dimensions of service quality depending on specialized areas of special libraries, and revise the items of higher correlations with user satisfaction, then we could effectively and efficiently level up user satisfaction of special libraries.
초록
이 연구는 발행된 연도의 평균 인용빈도를 보여주는 지수인 학술지의 즉시성지수를 수집한 후 즉시성지수의 증감에 영향을 준 구체적인 요인을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 2008년 JCR에 수록된 생물학(biology) 분야의 학술지 71종에 관한 즉시성지수를 수집하였고, 즉시성지수 값에 직간접적으로 영향을 준 것으로 보이는 여러 항목에 관한 데이터를 수집하여 분석하였다. 단순상관관계분석, 요인분석, 회귀분석 등을 실시한 결과 즉시성지수 총분산의 67.64%가 외형, 수집가능성, 예정호 및 연령, 언어 등의 요인으로 설명되었다. 이 요인들을 독립변수로 회귀분석을 실시한 결과 통계적으로 유의하였다. 일반적으로 학술지의 즉시성지수에 많은 영향을 줄 것으로 기대되는 것은 학술지의 인지도이지만, 이 연구에서는 학술지의 면수와 같은 외형이 즉시성지수에 직접적인 영향을 주고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 오픈액세스 학술지가 일반 학술지에 비해 즉시성지수가 더 높았다. 또한 즉시성지수가 높은 학술지는 연간 발행횟수가 많고, PMC에 등재되는 사례가 흔하며, 발행국은 주로 미국과 영국이라는 것이 확인되었다.
Abstract
This paper examined what factors affect the immediacy index showing the average number of times an article is cited in the year it is published. Not only Seventy-one immediacy indexes for subject field biology on JCR 2008 edition were gathered, but also many characteristics of scholarly journals that may influence the indexes directly or indirectly were aggregated. Simple correlation coefficient analysis, factor analysis, and regression analysis were performed on the paper. Therefore factors such as physical volume, availability, forthcoming issue, age and language explaining 67.64% of total variance were identified. After regression analysis using these factors as independent variables, the results were statistically significant. The results showed physical volumes, the total pages of publication, have an influence upon immediacy indexes obviously, although it is expected that journal reputations may affect immediacy indexes. Generally open access journals had high immediacy indexes. High ranked journals on immediacy index were apt to be issued frequently, uploaded very often on PMC, and published in major countries including United States and United Kingdom.
