1990년대에 들어서면서 보편화되기 시작한 정보화의 물결은 도서관의 서비스 형태에도 많은 변화를 가져왔다. 그러나 도서관 이용자의 입장에서는 어떤 형태의 서비스가 제공되더라도 기본적으로 이용자가 제공받는 서비스일 뿐, 도서관 이용에 대한 느낌이나 감정 등을 포함하는 서비스의 만족도는 제공받은 서비스의 품질에 의해서 좌우될 수밖에 없다는 특성을 갖는다. 본 연구는 도서관의 서비스 제공이 갖는 이러한 기본적인 특성에 착안하여 이용자들의 관점에서 서비스의 품질 수준을 평가하고, 이에 영향을 미치는 주된 요인들을 파악하여, 향후 더욱 높은 수준의 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 기틀을 마련하고자 하였다. 연구의 모형으로는 서비스 품질을 측정할 때 이용되는 서브퀄(SERVQUAL) 모형을 채택하여, 전문도서관에서 이용자들이 느끼는 서비스 품질에 대한 기대와 지각을 측정하였다.
Abstract
The rapid change in almost every area of science at the turn of the 21st century have also affected libraries and information centers. Whatever the change, from the library users' perspective, the functions provided by the library, is perceived as “service” and the satisfaction of the users can only be measured by the quality of the service. The study adopted the SERVQUAL model and five factors of SERVQUAL, Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy are used as parameter values. In measuring the parameter variable, both the users' expectations and their perceived service level were measured. The difference between the expectations and the perceived level was used as users' assessment of service quality. According to the results, all but re-investment dependence level among the five SERVQUAL levels, were linked in one way or another.

정보통신기술의 발전에 따라 디지털도서관은 자료의 디지털화 등을 통하여, 디지털환경에 맞는 정보서비스를 위한 역할의 변화를 가져오고 있다. 저작권법은 도서관이 비영리적 기관으로서 사회의 공익에 기여하는 점이 많기 때문에 저작권법이 예외적으로 적용되어 자유로운 정보서비스를 허용하고 있다. 그렇지만 디지털환경에서는 디지털 복제와 전송이 쉽기 때문에 권리자와 이용자와의 균형관계를 형성하기에는 어려움이 따른다. 이러한 변화에 적응하고자 개정된 저작권법은 취지와는 달리 인터넷을 통한 디지털도서관에의 접근을 제한하고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문은 현행 저작권법 및 개정안의 문제점을 고찰함과 아울러 디지털도서관의 이용활성화를 위한 개선방안을 살펴보고자 하였다.
Abstract
As Information Technology has developed, digital library has an opportunity to change the paradigm of role of library to adjust in digital environment. Digital library has promote information services with digitization of materials. In library fare use is allowed to the public for information services. However, digital copy and transmission is simple in digital environment, to balance between owner and user is not easy but important things. Therefor, current copyright act is revised to adjust these environment but the act restrict the users′accessing digital library through interned, not complied with the motive of revision. Moreover, proposed act which is proposed to facilitate digital library services also extremely limits information services. In this monograph, I will review the copyright act related library and seek for the improved means.

본 연구는 다양한 유형의 정보자원에 대한 연속적이며 통합된 접근을 요하는 하이브리드 정보 서비스를 제공하기 위한 일반적인 하이브리드 도서관 모델과 설계 원칙에 따른 하이브리드 도서관 설계를 위한 하이브리드 도서관의 요구 분석과 논리적 구조를 살펴보았다. 하이브리드 도서관의 요구 분석은 해당 도서관의 특정한 요구사항을 명기함으로써 다양한 형태의 하이브리드 정보환경을 개발하는 기관과 서비스를 지원하는데 필요하며 서비스 개발을 계획하는 관리자들이 반드시 고려할 필요가 있는 과정이다. 이러한 요구 분석은 기본적인 요구사항, 기본적 시스템 요구사항, 탐색, 소재 확인, 신청, 배달, 지불 등의 7가지 항목으로 구성된다. 하이브리드 도서관의 논리적 구조는 기본적으로 하이브리드 도서관 설계에 필요한 요구 분석사항들을 수용할 수 있도록 조직되어야 하며, 이러한 구조는 하이브리드 도서관 관리시스템을 위한 논리적 구조와 하이브리드 도서관의 복잡한 기능성을 포괄적으로 지원하는 동시에 국지적 단순성을 획득하기 위한 5개의 계층별 논리 구조로 구분하여 생각 할 필요가 있다.
Abstract
A hybrid information service may include local and/or remote distributed services, both and electronic. Also, a hybrid information service can be described as one which an appropriate range of heterogeneous information services is presented to the user in a consistent and integrated way via a single interface. The purpose of this study is to suggest high-level requirements and logical architecture to design hybrid library. High-level requirements analysis for hybrid library need to contain baseline requirements, basic system requirements, searching, location, requesting, delivery and payment. A logical architecture need to consider logical architecture for hybrid library management system including user access points, hybrid library management system and hybrid library components and 5 layered architecture including presenter, coordinator, mediator, communicator and provider to achieve local simplicity while still supporting complex functionality of hybrid library.

본 연구는 무선인터넷의 개념 및 특성을 고찰하고 도서관 무선인터넷 서비스의 국내외 현황과 이용자들의 이용실태 및 요구사항 등을 분석하였다. 도서관 무선인터넷 서비스가 활성화되기 위해서는 도서관의 전략적인 계획 및 홍보, 학생들의 선호하는 유형의 무선인터넷 서비스의 우선 도입, 무선인터넷 요금과 직관되는 무선인터넷 접속 시간을 줄이기 위한 서비스 메뉴의 엄선, 그리고 마지막으로 대학 당국의 일관성 있는 재정 지원이 필요함을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to suggest and measure the ways to activate the use of wireless internet services in university libraries. For this, 1 reviewed the concepts and characteristics of wireless internet and investigated both local and foreign cases on wireless internet service of university libraries, library users'''' usage status, and their demands. Based on the case study and survey results, I suggest the strategic consideration and active publicity of university libraries, the introduction of the services students more prefer, the development of differentiated menus from ordinary wire internet services, and the consistent financial support of the university authority.

대학도서관은 어느 관종보다 정보기술의 도입에 적극적이다. 그러나 국내 대학도서관의 경우, 특히 무비판적 수용에 따른 규모의 비경제성과 비효율적 관리에 따른 활용성의 저하가 경영관리의 최대 난제로 부상하고 있다. 대학도서관이 정보기술을 경영관리의 핵심요소로 상정하여 그 영향과 파장에서 배태되는 무수한 담론의 곡절과 고저를 평 면화하고 맹목적 수용의 예각을 둔화시키며 체계적 관리방안을 모색하지 않을 경우. 정체성의 심각한 훼손과 위상의 격하가 초래될 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 정보기술이 대학도서관의 경영관리(조직구조, 인력과 직무, 예산배정과 지출, 공간구조와 기능성, 장서패러다임, 이용자봉사)와 학술적 정체성에 미치는 영향을 분서하고 바람직한 수용자세와 관리방안을 모색하였다.
Abstract
Information technology. computers, networks, and the World Wide Web are ubiquitous. Academic libraries have applied information technology over the last ten years. The traditional role of the library as the scholarly information heart of the university is being questioned as information technology makes Information ever more easily accessible. And the recent technological development may alter the fundamental concept or identity of the academic library in the twenty-first century. This paper examines the ways in which information technology have chanced the academic library over the last decades and deals with the logical interrelation of ′information technology′ and ′management′ in the context of academic libraries in Korea. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the impacts of information technology on academic library management (organizational structure. librarian′s job and role. budget allocation and expenditures, space planning and functionality, collection paradigm, user service, academic entity, etc) and suggests a desirable acceptance attitudes and efficient management acceptance attitude and management.

비영리 조직인 도서관에서 정보화가 차지하는 비중이 점차 증대됨에 따라 시스템에 대한 감리와 통제만으로 지식정보자원관리를 조직의 경영목표에 적합하도록 유지하는 것이 어렵게 되었다. 그러므로 조직의 종합적인 경영체제 내에서 전체 경영활동과 통합되고 융화될 수 있도록 정보화 경영시스템의 적용이 필요하다. 도서관에서도 조직의 전략적 측면이나 사회 ·경제적인 요구들을 포함하는 포괄적인 문제를 고려하여 지식정보화 촉진과 경영혁신을 추구해야 한다. 본 연구는 모든 도서관에 적용할 수 있는 표준화된 규격으로 정보화경영시스템의 적용을 검토하였다. 이를 위해 지금가지 다양하게 개발된 도서관 성과지표와 정보화경영시스템의 수준평가표를 비교, 분석 하였으며, 도서관은 정보화경영시스템 도입을 통하여 조직의 효율성과 이용자 만족을 제고하고 나아가 국가경쟁력을 향상시킬 수 있게 될 것이다.
Abstract
According to increase share ratio of information on library be unable bring to maintain knowledge and information resource management for information audit and control on management vision in non-profit organization. Application of information management system was necessary to the systems integration and total management activity in total management system of organization. Library must be to investigate knowledge and information promotion and management innovation needs to consider to gather into a bundle problems to include social and economic requirements. This research be able to adaption all library standardization rule review adapt ability of information management system through the analysis compared to various developed performance indicator for library and level evaluation indicator for information management system. Library will be expanse efficiency of organization, satisfaction of users and level up the National competition through the adaptation of information management system.

본 연구는 디지털참고정보서비스의 최근 개발 동향을 고찰한 것이다. 디지털참고정보서비스와 관련한 국내외 선행 연구를 개관하였고 기술 개발로 인한 새로운 서비스 패러다임을 설명하였다. 그리고 웹 상의 참고정보서비스로서 도서관이 제공하는 것, 출판사에 의한 것, 전문가에 의한 것, 그리고 이용자 직접 탐색 등을 간략하게 열거하였다. 최근의 추세는 협력 모델이 주목을 받고 있으므로 Collaborative Digital Reference Service(CDRS)와 같은 디지털참고정보서비스 협력을 중점적으로 소개하였다. 도서관 전문직들은 디지털 환경에 적합한 참고정보서비스 협력에 관심을 가지고 그 필요성을 분석해야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This paper describes recent developments and trends of digital reference services. A brief overview of selected research on issues surrounding digital reference service is provided. It also discusses how technological developments in libraries have led to the emergence of new service paradigms. This paper briefly reviews reference and information services provided by libraries, those from publishers, those provided by experts, and those where users need to conduct a search and find information through the web. The current trend shows that the cooperative model is increasingly popular. Some projects on collaborative digital reference services(CDRS) are introduced. Librarians will need to continue analyzing the need for cooperative work in the reference service in a digital environment.

폭발적인 디지털콘텐츠의 성장과 함께, 지식과 정보를 중계하고 유통시키는 조직으로서 도서관과 정보센터는 지식소유자와 이용자사이에서의 새로운 역할을 수행하여야 한다. 정보화사회에서 무형의 정보와 지식에 경제적인 가치가 더하게 되므로서 전자지불시스템은 이러한 중계서비스를 수행하기 위하여 필수적으로 요구되고 있다. 그러나 네트웍상에서 디지털콘텐츠를 전자적으로 사고 팔기 위해서는 데이터와 사용자의 정보에 대한 보안이 필수적으로 요구된다. 지식중계시스템(전자도서관)은 이용자가 안전하고 편리하게 인터넷을 통하여 자신이 필요로 하는 디지털콘텐츠를 입수 및 구매할 수 있어야 한다. 그러나 정보의 공유와 개방을 목표로 개발된 인터넷이 갖고 있는 기본적인 취약성 때문에 거래내용, 신용카드정보, 은행계좌정보, 혹은 관련 비밀번호, 사용자정보 등의 중요정보들이 쉽게 노출될 수 있다. 이러한 인터넷과 같은 개방망에서의 전자거래의 보안성을 높이기 위한 방법으로서 본 연구에서는 기존의 인증시스템과 관련된 암호관련 기술을 살펴보고 보다 보안성을 높일 수 있는 방법으로서 고려되고 있는 스마트카드가 가지고 있는 장점을 온라인상의 전자거래에 적용하는데 있어서의 사용자와 스마트카드에 대한 인증방법을 제안하고 있으며 특히 개방형 네트워크상에서의 스마트카드를 기반으로 하는 전자중계시스템에서의 사용자 및 스마트카드에 대한 동시적 다중인증 및 암호통신에 대한 프로토콜을 설계하고 이를 구현하였다.

With explosively increasing digital contents, library and information center should have a new role between knowledge providers and knowledge users as information brokering organization. Electronic transaction system should be required for performing this brokering service since economic value is added to information and knowledge in information society. 본 연구는 상호대차활성화에 따른 이.공계열 외국학술지의 이용빈도를 조사해보고, 외국학술지 분담구독의 모델을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 이용연구는 2000년도 E대학도서관의 459종의 구독학술지와 144종의 분담구독 학술지를 포함한 총 603종을 평가대상으로 하여 관내 이용통계와 상호대차통계를 분석한 것이다. 본 연구결과 439종의 학술지가 1회 이상 이용되었으며, 164종의 불용학술지가 조사되었다. 또한 E대학 이용자의 이용빈도와 JCR의 주제분야별 총인용빈도 상위학술지간에는 상관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다양한 이용분석을 통하여 본 연구는 효과적인 학술지 관리방안을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this use study is to evaluate foreign science and technology serials with reference to the result of interlibrary loan activity and to present the model of cooperative acquisition. This study was based upon an analysis of actual use data by library users and interlibrary loan from March 1, 2000 to February 28, 2001. 603 titles of foreign serials which were composed of 459 subscription titles of E University Library and 144 cooperative acquisition titles in the fields of science and technology were analyzed. The study reveals that only 439 serials(72.8%) were used even more once and 164 serials were not used at all during 1 year interval. A relationship was found between rankings of serials as measured by use and JCR citation ranking. Based upon various aspects of use analysis, this study suggested effective techniques for managing academic serials.

본 연구의 목적은 대학도서관 웹사이트의 효율적인 이용을 위하여 웹사이트 메뉴구조와 용어를 제안하는데 있다. 메뉴구조는 7가지의 웹사이트 메뉴패턴을 기준으로 분석하였고, 용어는 빈도순에 의한 항목을 분석하였다. 메뉴구조의 분석결과는 전반적으로 2가지 이상의 메뉴구조를 혼합하여 사용하고 있었고, 구조패턴은 <테이블>과 <프레임 + 테이블> 메뉴패턴이 유리한 것으로 나타났다. 메뉴에 사용된 용어는 다양하게 나타나고 있어서 체계적인 재분류와 절제된 표현이 요구된다. 본 연구의 결과는 도서관 웹사이트 제작자와 일선 사서들의 메뉴구조와 용어선정 문제에 도움을 주고, 이용자에게 도서관이 제공하는 서비스의 개념적 혼동과 이해부족 문제를 해소할 것으로 기대 된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to propose new menu structure and terms to be used by Website design for utilization of academic library Website. The menu structure was analyzed, based on seven menu patterns of Website which is widely used, and terms were analyzed by the frequency appearing at the Website. According to the analyzed result, the menu structure used to more than two menu patterns and the terms appear variety. The profitable menu pattern appears 〈table〉 and 〈frame + table〉 menu structures and the terms needs to systematic re-classification and controlled presentation. It is expected that this study can help a designer to the development and implementation of efficient Website. It helps not only to solve the problem of menu structure and term selection for librarian, but get rid of confusion of library services for users.
