본 연구는 대학의 교수와 학생 이용자가 전통적인 형태의 물리적 도서관과 온라인 정보이용 중심의 디지털 도서관이 혼합된 하이브리드 형태의 도서관 환경에서 대학도서관을 이용하고자 하는 행동 의도 즉, 도서관 이용 의도를 결정하는 요인들과 그 요인들 사이의 구조적 관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 대학의 주요 구성원 그룹이 가지고 있는 대학도서관에 대한 전반적인 인식을 조사하기 위하여 구조화된 설문지를 개발하여 자료를 수집하였고, 도서관 이용 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인들 간의 관계 분석을 위해 사회심리학에서 빈번히 활용되는 행동-태도 이론을 바탕으로 본 연구의 목적에 적합하다고 판단되는 계획행동이론(TPB)과 기술수용모형(TAM)을 기반으로 한 통합모형을 제안하여 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구는 이용환경 변화에 따른 이용자의 도서관 이용에 대한 인식과 이용 의도를 물리적 도서관과 디지털도서관으로 나누어 각각 확인하였고, 이를 바탕으로 향후 도서관의 미래 전략 및 운영 방안에 대해 논의해 보고자 하였다는데 그 의의가 있다고 할 수 있으며, 본 연구의 결과는 대학도서관으로 하여금 변화하는 환경에서 생존하고 균형적인 성장을 이루기 위해서는 인지, 주목, 그리고 협력을 바탕으로 한 효과적이며 효율적인 운영전략을 수립하여야 한다는 점을 주지하고 있다.
Abstract
This study investigates the factors affecting behavioral intention of professors and students at universities to use academic libraries in a hybrid library environment where a traditional physical library is combined with a digital library that is centered on online information use. The structural relationships among factors were also analyzed in this study by utilizing a combined behavioural model which was based on TPB and TAM. This study identified users’ intention to use academic libraries according to changes in the use environment, and the findings of this study bring a valuable meaning to library administrators for setting up the strategic plan for the future of academic libraries. The results of this study imply that academic libraries should strategically setup an effective and efficient operating plan based on awareness, attention and cooperation, in order to survive as well as to accomplish balanced growth in rapidly changing environment.

정보기술과 인터넷의 발전에 따른 정보의 폭발적인 증가로 인하여 정보과잉에 따른 적절한 정보의 선택이 필요하게 되었다. 이를 위하여 이용자가 정보를 효율적으로 이용할 수 있도록 검색 또는 여과하는 일을 수행하기 위하여 정보검색 및 정보여과 시스템이 등장하게 되었다. 이러한 일련의 정보환경의 변화에 대한 보다 적극적인 대응방법으로서 도서관 및 정보센터에서는 이용자가 원하는 정보를 정확하고 효율적으로 제공하기 위한 노력의 일환으로서 이용자에게 맞춤화된 정보 추천서비스 제공이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 도서관 및 정보센터에서 적극적인 정보서비스를 위한 방법으로 이용자에게 맞춤화된 정보를 제공할 수 있는 개인화 추천시스템을 구축하기 위한 방안을 제안하였다. 이를 위하여 기존의 추천방법에 대한 장단점을 분석하고 기존 추천방법에 대한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방법으로서 대용량 콘텐츠 및 이용자 환경에서 이용자의 콘텐츠 이용빈도를 기준으로 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 위한 개인화된 하이브리드 추천방법을 제안하였다. 이를 위하여 이용빈도에 있어서 상위 이용자 및 콘텐츠를 분리하고 적절한 추천방법에 적용하기 위한 새로운 형태의 추천방법 및 대용량 추천시스템에 적합한 연관규칙과 협업여과방법에 대한 조합방법을 제안하였다.
Abstract
Recent advancements in information technology and the Internet have caused an explosive increase in the information available and the means to distribute it. However, such information overflow has made the efficient and accurate search of information a difficulty for most users. To solve this problem, an information retrieval and filtering system was developed as an important tool for users. Libraries and information centers have been in the forefront to provide customized services to satisfy the user's information needs under the changing information environment of today. The aim of this study is to propose an efficient information service for libraries and information centers to provide a personalized recommendation system to the user. The proposed method overcomes the weaknesses of existing systems, by providing a personalized hybrid recommendation method for multimedia contents that works in a large-scaled data and user environment. The system based on the proposed hybrid method uses an effective framework to combine Association Rule with Collaborative Filtering Method.

공공도서관의 효율성을 객관적으로 측정하여 성과관리에 기여하고자 도서관서비스에 내재된 질적 특성을 반영한 효율성 분석모형을 제시하고 이 분석모형을 적용한 실증적 연구를 통해 효율성 제고방안을 모색하였다. 이미 국내외 연구에서 기존 공공부문에서 사용되는 분석기법을 적용하여 효율성을 측정하였으나, 도서관의 특성을 충분히 반영하지 못했고 측정결과에 대한 일반적인 이론도출을 시도한 연구도 없었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 도서관서비스에 내재된 질적 특성을 반영하는 분석모형을 제시하고 분석해봄으로써 효율성 요인을 분석하고자 하였다. 분석결과 현재 공공도서관에 투입량을 기준으로 산출량은 증가될 수 있으므로 현재 투입 수준에 맞게 산출량을 증가시키는 방법을 모색하고 지속적으로 투입양을 증가시켜야 한다. 효율성 영향요인은 이용자수, 물리적 환경, 전문 인력, 문화 프로그램 기획력, 전자자료 등으로 분석되었고, 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과 이용자수, 전문 인력, 문화프로그램 기획력이 효율성과 인과관계를 갖고 있었다.
Abstract
This study measures the efficiency of public libraries, library services, and management to contribute to the proposed model for efficiency analysis, reflecting the characteristics in public libraries. This analysis model of applying the empirical research pursues the solutions to provide efficiency. Although many attempts have been made domestically and internationally to study the measurement of the efficiency, mere application of analysis techniques used in the other public sectors has led to the inadequate measurement for characteristics of library services. In addition, there has not been any attempt made to deduce a general theory for the study from the measurement results. In this study, an analysis model that reflects the inherent characteristics in library services is suggested to be analyzed empirically, and this leads to the understanding of efficiency factors. The results of the study show that the efficiency of current public libraries can be increased on the basis of input and output. Therefore the commitment to increase the level of output to meet the current need shall continue by the amount, rather than by the commitment to reduce the level of input. Finally, the factors influencing the efficiency are the number of users, the physical environment, professional staffs, events planning, and electronic resources. After analyzing the five factors via multiple regression analysis, three factors such as the number of users, professional staff and events planning proved causal relationship with the efficiency.

본 연구는 전국적으로 공공도서관 디지털자료실 구축사업이 완료된 이후 약 5년이 경과한 현 시점에서 디지털자료실의 운영 현황을 조사․분석한 결과를 토대로 향후 디지털 자료실의 활성화와 효율적인 운영 방안을 모색해 보았다. 그 결과, 무엇보다도 인프라 측면의 보완 및 개선이 가장 시급한 것으로 드러났다. 또한 공공도서관 디지털자료실의 향후 운영 방안으로는 크게 디지털자료실 통합운영체계 구축과 디지털자료실 기능 다변화를 추진하여야 한다. 먼저 공공도서관 디지털자료실의 운영실태 조사 내용과 활성화 전략을 다각도로 검토한 결과, 현 시점에서는 디지털자료실에서 가능한 부문을 위주로 최대한 통합하여 운영하는 것이 최선의 대안이 될 수 있다. 다음으로 공공도서관 디지털자료실의 기능 다변화는 기존의 디지털자료실 기능에 다양한 유형의 원자료 및 전용 어플리케이션을 활용한 정보의 제작뿐만 아니라 교육 기능, 참고정보서비스 기능, 온라인/오프라인 커뮤니티 형성 및 정보공유 활성화 기능 등을 추가 또는 강화하여 효율적으로 추진할 수 있다. 이를 통해 향후 공공도서관 디지털자료실은 단순한 인터넷 정보의 접근 및 이용을 위한 장소에서 사서와 이용자, 이용자와 이용자간 커뮤니케이션의 활성화는 물론 정보나 지식의 공유 및 협력활동을 위한 온라인/오프라인 공간으로 발전되어야 할 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find methods for utilizing digital room in public library and its efficient operation by analyzing the status quo of the digital rooms in public libraries, which had been built nation-widely about 5 years ago. It is found that it is urgent to supplement and improve the infrastructure of them. It is also required to build multi-functional digital rooms and an integrated operational system for digital rooms. Implementation of an integrated operational system, first of all, for applicable sections of digital room may be the best alternative. The multi-functional digital rooms can be built, which, in addition to its traditional function, can include a variety of original information resources and function of information creation using application programs, as well as functions such as education, information services, online/offline community creation, and activating information sharing. In the future, the digital rooms in public libraries must play a significant role as online/offline spaces, which are not the places for use and access to internet information resource, but for information/knowledge sharing and collaborative activities. It also must provide a communication channel between librarians and users as well as among users themselves.
