본 연구는 마케팅 분야에서 공간 서비스를 측정하기 위해 이용되는 서비스스케이프를 대학도서관에 도입함으로써 도서관 공간 및 시설이 이용자들의 만족도와 지속의도에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울에 위치한 4년제 종합사립대학교 10곳의 이용자를 대상으로 설문과 심층면담을 실시하였다. 분석결과 도서관의 서비스스케이프 요인은 청결성, 쾌적성, 심미성, 편의성으로 확인되었으며 편의성을 필두로 청결성, 심미성, 쾌적성 순으로 이용자의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이용자의 특성에 따라 대학도서관 서비스스케이프의 만족도와 지속의도에도 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 대학도서관은 더 다양한 기능을 수용할 수 있는 공간 마련과 선진 정보 기술 활용 등을 통한 서비스의 고도화를 추구할 필요가 있으며 청결성, 쾌적성, 심미성, 편의성을 고려하는 방향으로 도서관 공간을 발전시킬 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 문헌정보학 분야에서 연구된 적 없는 서비스스케이프라는 개념을 도입하여 대학도서관 이용자들의 만족도와 지속의도를 살펴보았다. 이를 통해 LibQUAL+의 장소로서의 도서관을 측정하는데 있어 보다 세밀한 분석을 돕고자 하였고 공간을 기획하는 실무자에게 새로운 가이드 라인을 제공하였다는데 의의를 둔다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to apply the Servicescape, which is used to measure the spatial services in marketing, to the studies on university libraries, in order to identify the influence of the library spaces and facilities on the satisfaction and continuance intention of the users of university libraries. For this purpose, questionnaires and in-depth interviews were conducted for users in ten private universities located in Seoul. Servicescape factors of the libraries showed that cleanliness, comfort, aesthetics, and convenience had a significant influence. Of these, convenience turned out to have the highest level of influence upon satisfaction, followed by cleanliness, aesthetics, and comfort. Descriptive statistical analysis showed whether there were significant differences in satisfaction and continuance intention based on the differences in the characteristics of the samples. Findings show that it would be necessary to provide spaces that can accommodate the various functions of a university library; seek advancement of the services; and develop the spaces of a library in consideration of cleanliness, comfort, aesthetic, and convenience. This study introduced the concept of Servicescape for the first time in the field of library and information science. This study implies that the results assist a more detailed analysis for the Library as Place dimension of LibQUAL+, and provide a new guideline for practitioners who design library spaces.

최근 디지털 기록관리 패러다임 속에서 중추적 역할을 수행하는 대학기록관 웹사이트는 대학기록을 찾고 활용하는 이용자들에게 더욱 더 중요하게 간주되고 있다. 본 연구는 대학기록관 웹사이트가 질적 향상을 이루기 위해서는 다각적 평가와 분석이 필요하다고 보고 국내 9개의 대학기록관을 선정한 후, 이들에 대하여 웹사이트 구성 내용분석, 웹사이트가 지닌 기능적 유용성, 사용성 및 정보품질에 대한 이용자 만족도, 그리고 웹표준 준수여부 등 다섯 가지의 각도에서 메타 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과를 토대로 제시된 대학기록관 웹사이트의 개선방안은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기록정보의 이용을 보다 활성화하기 위해서는 대학기록관의 소개 및 대학기록 활용성에 대한 홍보와 웹사이트에서의 이용자간의 커뮤니케이션을 높일 수 있는 방안을 모색해야 한다. 둘째, 웹사이트의 콘텐츠 빈약함은 이용자의 이용도를 떨어뜨리므로 체계적인 대학기록의 수집과 함께 디지털화하는 작업에 집중적인 노력이 필요하다. 셋째, 가장 불만족스럽게 나타난 ‘검색 기능’을 보완하기 위해서는 이용자 중심의 검색인터페이스를 개발이 필요하다. 넷째, 이용자의 만족도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인이 웹사이트에 대한 ‘호감도’이므로 이 점을 고려하여 대학기록관 웹사이트를 디자인해야 할 것이다. 마지막으로 웹사이트는 웹표준을 준수하여 보편적 웹접근성을 높여야 할 것이다.
Abstract
Recently, the website of university archives is becoming greatly significant to users who retrieve and utilize university archives and records. This study aims to meta-analyze university archives in Korea in terms of usefulness, usability, information quality, and web accessibility in order to improve the functionality and usefulness of university archives websites. The result of the study suggests that university archives should increase the number of the digital records and to develop communication chanels, such as blog, chatting room, digital reference services for activating use of university records. Secondly, university archives make efforts to develop systematic collecting and managing procedures and to build relevant digital collections. Thirdly, the websites of university archives develops more user-friendly interfaces and web design to improve user satisfaction. Finally, the websties of university archives should follow the standards on web accessibility.

본 연구에서는 전문도서관 사서를 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하였으며, 대내․외 환경변화와 정책적 지원방안에 따라 업무영역에 미치는 영향력을 분석하고, 설문조사 결과에서 분석된 현장사서들의 인식조사 결과를 토대로 전문도서관 발전에 영향을 미치는 요인과 이에 따른 정책적 제안을 도출하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 개별 기관 내 도서관 위상 역할에 대한 인식에서는 도서관 발전계획 중요도에서 부정적인 의견이 58.3%, 도서관으로서 본연의 역할 수행여부에 대해서는 긍정적인 인식을 하는 것을 확인할 수가 있었다. 둘째, 전문도서관의 위상을 높이기 위해서는 주요 기능과 역할의 중요성을 인식하여 학술연구활동에 대한 인식이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 도서관발전종합계획 중 전문도서관 및 운영평가 인식에서는 국가 공공 정보의 대국민 서비스 확대에 대해 가장 높게 인식하고 있었다. 또한 5년간 발전전략 중 우선 시행되어야 할 정책으로는 전문도서관 현황 갱신 및 조사를 위한 시스템 구축을 선호하는 것을 확인할 수가 있었다. 넷째, 도서관 운영평가 참여율 제고를 위한 효과적인 대안 및 개선지표에 대해 분석한 결과, 공기업 평가 항목에서 “기관 도서관 운영 평가” 항목의 가중치 부여가 평균 4.01로 가장 높게 나타났다. 따라서, 전문도서관 발전을 위해서는 현재 전문도서관의 현황을 종합적으로 파악할 수 있는 체계를 구축하고 적극적인 학술 연구를 지원하는 것이 가장 시급할 것으로 파악되었다
Abstract
In this study, a survey was conducted targeting specialized librarians, and the impact on the work area according to changes in the internal and external environment and policy support measures was analyzed. In this study, we tried to derive factors that affect library development and policy suggestions accordingly. As a result of the study, first, it was confirmed that 58.3% of the negative opinions in terms of the importance of library development plans were positive in recognition of the role of library status within individual institutions. Second, in order to increase the status of specialized libraries, it was found that awareness of academic research activities was necessary by recognizing the importance of major functions and roles. Third, among the comprehensive library development plans, the recognition of specialized libraries and operational evaluation was the highest in recognition of the expansion of national public information services to the public. In addition, it was confirmed that among the five-year development strategies, the policy that should be implemented first is the preference for updating the status of specialized libraries and establishing a system for investigation. Fourth, as a result of analyzing effective alternatives and improvement indicators to increase the participation rate in library operation evaluation, the weighting of the “institutional library operation evaluation” item in the evaluation item of public enterprises was the highest at 4.01 on average. Therefore, for the development of specialized libraries, it was recognized as the most urgent task to establish a system that can comprehensively grasp the current status of specialized libraries as well as active academic research and support them.
