개인의 정보활용능력은 단기적으로는 현안 문제를 해결하고 장기적으로는 평생학습을 가능하게 해줌으로써 개인의 경쟁력에 많은 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 중요성이 부각되고 있는 정보활용능력이 개인의 성과와 상관관계를 가지는지를 대학생 집단을 대상으로 검증해 보았다. 개인의 성과 지표로는 실험집단이 대학생인 점을 고려하여 학업성취도인 평점평균을 채택하였다. 검증결과 정보활용능력(information literacy)에 대한 자기효능감(self-efficacy)과 학업성취도간에는 상관관계가 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 이러한 상관관계는 지속되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 연구를 통해 정보활용능력이 개인의 성과에 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였고 이는 정보활용능력 관련 교과의 개설에 대한 당위성을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
Information literacy of the individuals affects their competitive capability significantly by providing problem solving skills in the short run, and by enabling life-long learning in the long run. This study examines if information literacy capacity has any relationship with individuals' achievement level through the experiment with college student subject group. As evidences for individual achievement level, we adopted GPA's(grade point average) of students. As a result, it was confirmed that information literacy and academic achievements has positive relationship. Additionally, it has been found that this relationship has a tendency of sustaining for a significant period. These experiment results would serve as a rationale for providing information literacy courses in the academic curriculum.
초록
본 연구는 선진국이나 경쟁국에 비해 열악한 우리나라 국가 지식정보자원의 총량을 제고하여 그 활용을 극대화할 수 있도록 국가차원에서 지식정보자원의 전략적 연계 체제를 구축하는데 목적을 두고자 한다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 고찰하고자 하는 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 우리나라가 국가차원에서 지식정보자원의 연계전략을 수립할 필요성을 살펴보고, 둘째, 현재 국가 지식정보자원관리체제의 현상과 문제점을 도출하며, 셋째, 이를 바탕으로 지식정보자원의 자원유형별, 관리기관별 특성에 따른 국가 예산의 효율적 집행을 위한 전략적 연계 방안을 마련하며, 넷째, 이러한 결과들을 근거로 우리나라의 바람직한 지식정보자원의 전략적 연계체제를 구축하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.
Abstract
Given Korea does not have a competitive edge compared to developed or other competing countries in national information and knowledge resource, it is necessary to consider ways to ensure the best out of the limited resource. It is believed that Korea has to develop a national information policy which enables effective and efficient communication, management and availability of information resource within Korea. In order to ensure the strategic integration of information and knowledge resource in Korea, this research encompasses the followings: First, the needs for establishing a strategic system that helps ensure the integration of information and knowledge resource on national level are probed, Second, current status of national information and knowledge management policy is reviewed, and some problems are brought forward, Third, to resolve the problems a strategic approach to the integration of information resource according to material types and individual institution's characteristics is proposed, for effective allocation of government budget. And, finally, based on the findings and models proposed, a national information strategy to integrate the dispersed information resource is suggested.
