초록
공공도서관의 경쟁우위와 지속성 유지를 위한 내적 원동력은 지적자본이다. 지적자본은 내부구성원의 역량, 구성원들이 형성하는 조직구조, 이용자 및 이해관계자의 협력으로 맺어지는 인적자본, 구조자본, 사회자본으로 구성된다. 이 연구의 목적은 지적자본 구성요소인 인적자본, 구조자본, 사회자본에 관한 배경이론을 토대로 공공도서관 지적자본 평가를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고 동시에 실험적 평가모형을 개발하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 지적자본의 배경이론을 토대로 공공도서관의 지적자본의 해석과 평가지표를 도출하였다. 또한 실증적 분석을 통해 지적자본 구성요소와 성과의 인과관계를 밝히고, 최적화된 지적자본 평가모형을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Intellectual capital is the driving force for the competitive advantage and durability of the public library. This asset consists of the library members’ competences, the organizational structure constructed by the members, and the interrelationships among the people sharing the same interests. These are called human capital, structural capital and social capital in the respective order. The purpose of the study was to provide foundational information for the public library’s intellectual capital assessment as well as creating an experimental assessment model. It analysed the three characteristics of the capital, which generated an assessment index. In addition, it identified the relationship between the components of the intellectual capital and performance were discovered through empirical study to improve the assessment system.
초록
본 연구는 정보의 유비쿼터스적 해석을 통해 도서관 정보서비스의 본질을 찾고자 하였다. 이러한 본질을 통해 도서관이 가져야할 정체성을 확립해 보고자 하였다. 연구방법으로는 정보의 유비쿼터스적 해석을 통해 정보문화사를 통한 도서관적인 행위와 도서관 정보서비스에 대한 해석을 시도하였다. 유비쿼터스라함은 인간이 모든 것을 주변에 두고자 하는 욕구 상태를 현실에서 실체화하는 행위를 의미한다. 정보는 유비쿼터스 상태로 존재하며, 도서관은 유비쿼터스 상태의 확장을 통해 진화되고 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 정보행위는 인류의 역사에서 계속되어지고 있으며, 도서관 관념은 도서관적 행위 즉 생산, 축적, 가공, 배포에 의해 형성되었다. 도서관의 최종적인 목적은 이용자에 대한 정보서비스라는 점이 재인식 되었고, 정보시스템과 네트워크는 응용과 내재에 중점을 두어야 한다. 도서관은 유비쿼터스 상태의 확장을 통해 개별화된 이용자 중심의 서비스로 전환할 수 있는 모형연구가 활발히 진행되어야 한다.
Abstract
This study is to research quintessence of information service in the libraries by interpreting ‘Information' as it is ubiquitous. For the purpose, it investigates and analyzes information behaviors of the libraries in information-cultural history. The meaning of ‘ubiquitous' is understood as a practice that everything we need should be inherent in our lives for its usefulness and effectiveness. Information is intrinsic in our lives and the libraries, information management systems, have been evolved by extending the intrinsic value of information, ‘ubiquity'. Human being's history results from information behaviors and the meaning of the libraries consists of production, accumulation, organization and distribution of the libraries. It should be recognized that the ultimate purpose of the library services is for their users. Consequently information systems and technological networks in the libraries should be focused on applications and inherence for the purpose. Model studies of the libraries should be developed to user-centered information services that substantialize the interpretation of information, as it is ubiquitous. This study is a trial for defining the quintessence of the libraries. Furthermore, it provides foundation of understanding what the libraries are.
