현대사회의 개인과 단체가 일상적으로 생산하는 다양한 디지털 객체는 현대 인류에게는 정보자산이지만 미래 인류에게는 소중한 디지털 유산이 된다. TRAC은 디지털 보존이라는 막중한 책무를 자임한 디지털 아카이브가 그 책무를 실효성 있는 방식으로 수행하고 있는지를 평가하기 위한 도구의 하나이다. 이 논문은 TRAC과 우리 나라의 웹자원에 대한 장기적 접근을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 하는 국립중앙도서관의 OASIS 간의 격차를 분석하고자 하는 목적으로 수행되었다. 평가 결과, OASIS는 조직 및 기술인프라 측면에 비하여 장기 보존 기능을 포함한 객체관리 인프라가 취약한 상태임이 확인되었다.

Abstract

Individuals and organizations in the modern society produce diverse digital objects everyday, which are not only valuable information resources at present but also will be invaluable digital heritage for the future generation. TRAC(Trustworthy Repositories Audit & Certification: Criteria & Checklist) is one of the evaluating tools against which digital archives could be assessed for their preparedness to perform the task of long-term preservation. The current study uses TRAC to assess OASIS(Online Archiving & Searching Internet Source). The results show that the web archive has a greater room for strengthening in the object management infrastructure than in organizational and technical infrastructures.

Abstract

In this study, pathfinder network analysis has been carried out to identify subject domains of documents which cited articles in the ASIST Proceedings. This represents how articles in the ASIST Proceedings are flowed and used in what subjects areas. For this analysis, 240 documents were selected through a search of the Scopus database. The complete linkage clustering method was used to draw out 16 clusters from 240 documents. Through MDS and pathfinder network analysis, knowledge networks of clusters have been produced. As a result, articles in the ASIST Proceedings relating to knowledge management, bibliometrics, information retrieval and digital libraries have been cited actively by other publications. The most frequent citation flow type of ASIST proceedings was citation from proceedings(ASIST) to reviews(ARIST), via journals, and the most popular subject areas related to documents were bibliometrics.

Abstract

In this study, we investigated the information users' needs and information seeking behavior in the field of science and technology. We found that the science and technology researchers most frequently needed information while conducting the research & development related tasks and drafting research papers. The researchers attributed the main sources of research ideas to be the communication among colleagues and the literature review. The researchers's most preferred information sources were digital libraries, web search engines, and academic information portal. In conclusion, the science and technology researchers regarded the online use of electronic materials as the primary source of information. We hope that this investigation reported herein to be the foundation for developing user-centered information services for the science and technology discipline.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to suggest retrieval interfaces for Korean paintings which support users to retrieve specific digitalized images of them through various access points and to widely browse based on unique features Korean paintings. The study, first, develops a set of descriptive elements suitable for Korean paintings. Twenty-six core elements and one hundred seventy-two attributes are selected as descriptive items for Korean paintings based on the opinion of 8 experts. Then, to gain realistic evidence of what descriptive elements of image serve users as access points, it is investigated which elements are used as retrieval access points among 26 core elements by 300 peered users who are consisted with two groups such as common users and domain specialists. The study, in final, designs two(general and advanced) types of search interfaces and display interfaces based on the most popular top 15 descriptive elements. This access-enhanced platform which enables user-oriented searches will satisfy users in image retrieving.

개방형 네트워크인 인터넷의 확산과 웹(Web) 기술이 발전함에 따라 다양한 형태의 전자문서가 생산 및 유통되고 있다. 전자문서(e-Document)는 문서를 생산한 기관에서 일련의 행위를 유발하기 위한 정보 또는 내용을 포함하는 기록물의 일종이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 전자문서의 안전한 이용 및 유통을 위하여 요구되는 보안 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 특히, 제안된 방법은 전자문서의 진본성(Authenticity), 신뢰성(Reliability), 무결성(Integrity)을 보장하기 위한 전자서명의 생성과 이용자의 정당성 확보를 위한 인증과정에 적용할 수 있다. 또한, 보안성과 저장성에 있어서 높은 신뢰도를 가지고 있는 스마트카드를 활용함으로써 기존의 방법에 비하여 높은 보안성을 확보할 수 있었다. 제안된 방법의 효율성 및 신뢰성에 대한 검증을 위하여 실험을 수행하였다.

Abstract

With explosive growth in the area of the Internet and IT services, various types of e-documents are generated and circulated. An e-Document is a sort of electronic records which a organization performs works and goals. In this study, we propose a security algorithm for secure use and distribution of e-documents. Especially, the proposed method can be applied to generate digital signature which can guarantee authenticity, integrity, confidentiality of an e-document and authenticate authorized users. Also, we can get higher security level as using a smart card that provides highly storing capacity and security. We carried out an experiment to verify efficiency and security of the proposed method.

본 연구에서는 비디오의 의미를 잘 표현하고 있는 키프레임들을 추출하는 알고리즘을 설계하고 평가하였다. 구체적으로 영상 초록의 키프레임 선정을 위한 이론 체계를 수립하기 위해서 선행 연구와 이용자들의 키프레임 인식 패턴을 조사하여 분석해 보았다. 그런 다음 이러한 이론 체계를 기초로 하여 하이브리드 방식으로 비디오에서 키프레임을 추출하는 알고리즘을 설계한 후 실험을 통해서 그 효율성을 평가해 보았다. 끝으로 이러한 실험 결과를 디지털 도서관과 인터넷 환경의 비디오 검색과 브라우징에 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제안하였다.

Abstract

The purposes of the study are to design a key-frame extraction algorithm for constructing the virtual storyboard surrogates and to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm. To do this, first, the theoretical framework was built by conducting two tasks. One is to investigate the previous studies on relevance and image recognition and classification. Second is to conduct an experiment in order to identify their frames recognition pattern of 20 participants. As a result, the key-frame extraction algorithm was constructed. Then the efficiency of proposed algorithm(hybrid method) was evaluated by conducting an experiment using 42 participants. In the experiment, the proposed algorithm was compared to the random method where key-frames were extracted simply at an interval of few seconds(or minutes) in terms of accuracy in summarizing or indexing a video. Finally, ways to utilize the proposed algorithm in digital libraries and Internet environment were suggested.
