Abstract

Recently, semantic search techniques which are based on information space as consisting of non- ambiguous, non-redundant, formal pieces of ontological knowledge have been developed so that users do exploit large knowledge bases. The purpose of the study is to design more user-friendly and smarter retrieval interface based on ontological analysis, which can provide more precise information by reducing semantic ambiguity or more rich linked information based on well-defined relationships. Therefore, this study, first of all, focuses on ontological analysis on researcher information as selecting descriptive elements, defining classes and properties of descriptive elements, and identifying relationships between the properties and their restriction between relationships. Next, the study designs the prototypical retrieval interface based on ontology-based representation, which supports to semantic searching and browsing regarding researchers as a full-fledged domain. On the proposed retrieval interface, users can search various facts for researcher information such as research outputs or the personal information, or carrier history and browse the social connection of the researchers such as researcher group that is lecturing or researching on the same subject or involving in the same intellectual communication.

Abstract

With explosive growth in the area of the Internet and IT services, various types of digital contents are generated and circulated, for instance, as converted into digital-typed, secure electronic records or reports, which have high commercial value, e-tickets and so on. However, because those digital contents have commercial value, high-level security should be required for delivery between a consumer and a provider with non face-to-face method in online environment. As a digital contents, an e-ticket is a sort of electronic certificate to assure ticket-holder’s proprietary rights of a real ticket. This paper focuses on e-ticket as a typical digital contents which has real commercial value. For secure delivery and use of digital contents in on/off environment, this paper proposes that 1) how to generate e-tickets in a remote e-ticket server, 2) how to authenticate a user and a smart card holding e-tickets for delivery in online environment, 3) how to save an e-ticket transferred through network into a smart card, 4) how to issue and authenticate e-tickets in offline, and 5) how to collect and discard outdated or used e-tickets.

본 연구는 구술자료 아카이브 정보시스템 설계를 위하여 구술기록물의 생산, 수집절차, 접근의 용이성, 저작권 등에 대하여 논의하였으며, 웹 구술사료 아카이브 설계 구축을 위한 기본 방안과 평가를 위한 가이드라인을 개발함으로써 웹 구술사료 아카이브 구축을 위해 활용 가능한 기준을 제시해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 평가 프레임워크를 기반으로 국내외 웹 구술사료 아카이브 5개 기관을 선정하여 연구자가 제시한 평가용 가이드라인을 적용하여 사례분석을 하였다. 여기에서 얻어진 결과를 바탕으로 국내의 웹 구술사료 아카이브 정보시스템 구축을 위한 개선점을 논의하였다.

Abstract

This study discussed on production, procedures of collection, accessibility, copyright of archival records for designing oral history archive information system, and aimed to suggest practical standards by developing guidelines for evaluation and building of web oral history archives. For this, based on evaluation framework, guidelines for evaluation designed by researchers were applied to five domestic and foreign web oral history archives as case study analysis. Base on the results of the analysis, some possible suggestions were made for building successful web oral history archive information system in Korea.

본 연구는 문헌사를 대치하는 구술사에 관하여 기록물로서의 중요성을 제시하면서 구술사 기록물을 구조화 할 수 있는 표준 메타데이터 모형과 설계 요소를 개발 하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 구술사 기록의 내용과 형태를 정보원으로 표현할 수 있는 표준 메타데이터 기술 요소를 분석하였으며, 디지털 구술 아카이빙 구축을 위하여 프로젝트, 관리, 레코드 그리고 관련 레코드 영역으로 메타데이터 모델링을 설계 하였다. 또한 기본 요소와 세부 요소, 구분 요소의 설계 원칙에 의하여 실제 구술사 기록물을 대상으로 구현을 통해 적용 해 보았다.

Abstract

This study is aimed to develop standard metadata model and develop elements and present the importance of oral history archives that contrast with literature history. The study analyzed standard metadata description elements that can express contents and forms of oral history archives as information. Furthermore, it designed Project, Management, Record, and metadata modeling as a Related record domain for the sake of building digital oral archives. Finally, the study gave shape to real oral history archives based on basic elements, details, and design principles of division elements.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the demand of parents and teachers for a children's library and analyze the need in consideration of their age and children's library-using frequency. The subjects in this study were 1,500 parents and teachers in the region of Gwangju, on whom a survey was implemented to find out the necessity of a children's library, what should be considered in terms of design and program development and what forms of materials should be provided. As a result of checking their needs for the functions of a library, the parents and teachers investigated attached importance to culture, welfare and hands-on culture/art programs as what a library should focus on. Second, as for design, they gave top priority to comfortableness(sanitary facilities, ventilation, humidity and temperature) and safety(sofas, cushions and carpets for children). Third, as to program preference, both of the parents and teachers considered activity, performance and educational programs necessary among multiple kinds of ongoing programs. Specifically, performance programs ranked first among the parents and third among the teachers. Activity programs ranked first among the teachers and third among the parents. Fourth, concerning the importance of materials possessed by a library, they placed the most emphasis on the kind of materials that could foster creativity and instill the right personality.

이야기 쓰기를 돕는 본문 및 문장 검색시스템의 구축을 위해서 (1)이야기와 단락 및 문장의 구조를 분석하고 (2)색인작성과 탐색 질문에 적용되는 언어 추론을 연구하였다. 이야기 쓰기에 필요한 이야기, 단락, 그리고 문장으로 구성된 사항 데이터베이스와 필요한 추론규칙으로 이루어진 지식베이스와 온톨로지가 고안되었다. 추론의 기초인 실례(實例) 파일들은 시맨틱 웹 환경에서 작동될 마크업 언어 형식으로 만들어졌다. 시맨틱 웹 환경에서 실용적인 시스템이 되려면 단락과 문장을 정확히 대변하는 색인 방법론과 이를 정밀하게 지식베이스화 할 수 있는 마크업 언어의 창조가 필수적이라 사료된다.

Abstract

Structures of stories, paragraphs, and sentences and inferences applied to indexing and searching were studied to construct the full-text and sentence retrieval system for storytelling. The system designed the database of stories, paragraphs, and sentences and the knowledge-base of inference rules to aid to write the story. The Knowledge-base comprised the files of story frames, paragraph scripts, and sentence logics made by mark-up languages like SWRL etc. able to operate in semantic web. It is necessary to establish more precise indexing language represented the sentences and to create a mark-up languages able to construct more accurate inference rules.

일반적으로 동영상콘텐츠에 대한 탐색과정에서 이용자는 해당 기관 또는 사이트에서 제공하는 간단하게 요약한 요약 동영상과 텍스트 정보를 이용하여 원하는 동영상을 선택한다. 이러한 이용자의 동영상콘텐츠의 탐색과정에서의 정확하고 신속한 동영상콘텐츠의 검색을 위하여 본 연구에서는 동영상을 구성하는 자막과 이미지 정보를 이용하여 동영상을 내용에 따라 여러 개의 클립으로 구분하고, 이용자의 필요에 따라 원하는 클립을 빠르게 검색하여 제공하는 시스템을 제안한다. 동영상콘텐츠 및 관련 메타데이터의 관리 및 제어를 위해서 본 연구에서는 XML 계층구조를 생성하여 저장한다. 한편, 이용자의 검색 요청시 XML을 기반으로 동영상콘텐츠의 계층구조를 반영하는 Xpath를 생성하여 질의처리를 수행함으로써 이용자가 원하는 동영상콘텐츠에 대한 검색결과를 제공한다. 제안된 방법을 기반으로 본 연구에서는 XML 계층구조를 이용한 동영상 검색 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

Abstract

Generally, a user uses briefly summarized video data and text information to search video contents. To provide fast and accurate search tool for video contents in the process of searching video contents, this study proposes a method to search video clips which was partitioned from video contents. To manage and control video contents and metadata, the proposed method creates structural information based on XML on a video and metadata, and saves the information into XML database. With the saved information, when a user try to search video contents, the results of user's query to retrieve video contents would be provided through creating Xpath which has class structure information. Based on the proposed method, an information retrieval system for video clips was designed and implemented.

디지털도서관은 통합관리를 위해 정보기술의 표준화 모델인 아키텍처와 거버넌스를 도입하고 있으며, 도서관의 체계적인 정보기술 거버넌스는 도서관의 정보기술과 업무 부문의 효과적인 융합으로 통합적인 조직의 전략 및 목표를 개발하고, 추진하여 관리하는 조직 기능이라 할 수 있다. 이러한 맥락에서, 본 연구의 목적은 도서관 조직 내의 정보기술 및 업무 관련 사회연결망 구조를 통해 도서관의 통합적 관리․운영을 위한 전략적 연계의 사회적 자본에 대한 분석 모델을 제시하는 데 있다. 전략적 연계를 위한 사회적 자본의 분석 모형은 첫째, 인적자원의 특성을 통한 전체 사회연결망 분석으로 둘째, 1) 커뮤니케이션 2) 경쟁력 및 가치 3) 거버넌스 4) 파트너쉽 5) 범위와 아키텍처 6) 역량의 전략적 연계 요소 분석으로 셋째, 전략적 통합성 및 기능적 통합성의 전략 적 연계 분석으로 설계하였다. 이러한 세 가지 사회적 자본은 사회연결망 분석 이론의 연결성, 중심성, 관계성으로 평가된다.

Abstract

This research applied the concepts of IT architecture and IT governance for managing with an integrated computing environment and organized structure, which base a digital library’s management and operation. It also aims to analyze the structural system between information technology of human resources and strategy alignment elements of business, which both constitute the core content. Social network analysis software was used to investigate the complicated relationship between IT and business-related strategy alignment elements. The following is the results of carrying out this research on the social network structure and features of strategy alignment elements for a digital library. First, analysis indexes for strategy alignment elements and social network of a digital library were developed. Second, an analysis model was designed based on the analysis index for social network as to strategy alignment elements. Analysis model was appraised by collecting social network datasets for such strategy alignment elements as Communications, Competency and Value, Governance, Partnership, Scope and Architecture, and Skills against the Business strategy, Information strategy, Business and Technology of a digital library. As for the content of analysis, social network structure and specific features were analyzed in relation to a digital library’s (1) General social network, (2) Structure of strategy alignment elements, (3) Strategy fit and Functional integration.
