본 연구는 문헌정보학 측면에서 국외 독서 및 독서교육 연구의 동향을 분석하고 향후의 연구과제를 제시하였다. 이를 위해 첫째, 문헌정보학 분야 국외 데이터베이스(LISTA)의 통제 키워드와 DDC 23판을 검토하여 독서 및 독서교육 관련 주요 연구 영역을 설정하였다. 둘째, 문헌정보학 분야 국외 데이터베이스(LISTA)에서 검색한 지난 100년(1914년～2014년) 동안의 독서 및 독서교육 관련 학술논문(2,115편)을 대상으로 지적구조 분석을 적용하여 연구동향을 분석하였다. 셋째, 이러한 연구동향 분석의 결과에 기초하여 독서 및 독서교육 분야의 향후 연구과제를 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyse the research areas and trends of reading (reading instruction) abroad in the respect of LIS, and suggest future research tasks. First, I reviewed the controlled keywords in SU field of LISTA database and the entries of DDC 23, and identified the research areas of reading and reading instruction in overseas. Second, I analysed the research trends of this field by applying a intellectual structure analysis on 2,115 research articles (1914～2014) retrieved from a representative database in the areas of Library and Information Science (LISTA). Third, Based on the results of these analysis, I suggested the future research tasks of this field in the domain of library and information science.
초록
디지털 큐레이션은 디지털 시대의 새로운 정보관리 및 서비스라고 할 수 있다. 디지털 환경에서 정보자원에 대한 체계적 관리 및 서비스를 추구한다는 측면에서 디지털 큐레이션은 문헌정보학의 핵심 영역에 해당한다. 본 연구는 디지털 큐레이션 관련 문헌들을 검토하여 주요 연구 영역을 설정하고, 대표적인 문헌정보학 분야 학술 데이터베이스(LISTA)에서 검색한 학술 논문들을 대상으로 연구동향을 분석하였다. 또한 이러한 연구동향 분석의 결과에 기초하여 문헌정보학 분야의 디지털 큐레이션 관련 향후 연구과제를 제시하였다.
Abstract
Digital curation can be said that the new information management and services in the digital age. In terms of exploring the systematic management and services for the information resources in the digital environment, Digital curation is one the core areas of library and information science. This study was set up a research areas as a result of reviewing the related literatures, and analyzed the research trends to the scholarly articles retrieved from a representative databases in the areas of Library and Information Science (LISTA). Also, I suggested future research agendas for digital curation in the areas of library and information science based on the results of the this analysis.
초록
본 연구는 국내 주요 학술 DB의 검색서비스에서 제공되고 있는 저자키워드(비통제키워드)의 재분류를 통하여 디스크립터(통제키워드)를 자동 할당할 수 있는 가능성을 모색하였다. 먼저 기계학습에 기반한 주요 분류기들의 특성을 비교하는 실험을 수행하여 재분류를 위한 최적 분류기와 파라미터를 선정하였다. 다음으로, 국내 독서 분야 학술지 논문들에 부여된 저자키워드를 학습한 결과에 따라 해당 논문들을 재분류함으로써 키워드를 추가로 할당하는 실험을 수행하였다. 또한 이러한 재분류 결과에 따라 새롭게 추가된 문헌들에 대하여 통제키워드인 디스크립터와 마찬가지로 동일 주제의 논문들을 모아주는 어휘통제 효과가 있는지를 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 저자키워드의 재분류를 통하여 디스크립터를 자동 할당하는 효과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다.
Abstract
This study purported to investigate the possibility of automatic descriptor assignment using the reclassification of author keywords in domestic scholarly databases. In the first stage, we selected optimal classifiers and parameters for the reclassification by comparing the characteristics of machine learning classifiers. In the next stage, learning the author keywords that were assigned to the selected articles on readings, the author keywords were automatically added to another set of relevant articles. We examined whether the author keyword reclassifications had the effect of vocabulary control just as descriptors collocate the documents on the same topic. The results showed the author keyword reclassification had the capability of the automatic descriptor assignment.

최근까지 학술지의 영향력을 측정하기 위하여 Thomson Reuters(ISI)의 영향력지수(JIF: Journal Impact Factor)가 널리 사용되어왔다. 그러나, 이러한 JIF는 학술지 단위가 아니라 수록 논문의 평균 영향력을 측정하는 지표라는 근본적인 한계를 가지고 있으며, 이외에도 다양한 측면에서 많은 문제점들이 지적되었다. 특히 국내 인용색인은 국제적인 인용색인 데이터베이스에 비해서 인용 데이터의 규모가 상당히 제한적이므로, 이를 고려하여 국내 학술지 인용 환경에 적합한 지수의 적용이 필요하다. 따라서 이 연구는 최근 급속히 확산되고 있는 Hirsch 유형 지수(h-type indices)를 적용하여 국내 학술지의 영향력을 보다 더 상세하게 측정할 수 있는 실제적인 방안을 모색하였다. 결과적으로, h-지수의 변형지수(hs-지수, fs-지수)를 사용하거나 호 단위 합산(호 기반 h-지수, 호 기반 f-지수) 방법을 통하여, 기존 Hirsch 유형 지수들의 변별력을 향상시킬 수 있음은 물론 국내 학술지의 영향력을 더욱 정밀하게 측정할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The journal impact factor(JIF) of the Thomson Reuters(ISI) has been widely used to assess the impact of journal as well as its quality. However, the JIF contains its critical limitation, in which it does not measure the impact of journal but the average impact of articles in journal. Besides significant number of problems of the JIF has been noticed. Furthermore, given the limited coverage of domestic citation index database in comparison to those of international citation index, it is necessary to apply a more appropriate index with a high level of discriminating power. This study, therefore, aims to introduce some practical methods to measure the impact of domestic journals by using the Hirsch-type indices. As the Hirsch-type indices has been often used for overcoming the limitations of the JIF in worldwide, we hope that our research outcome offers an effective alternative to gauge the impact of journals more accurately. Consequently, using the variations of the h-index(hs-index, fs-index) or the sum of issue level(issue based h-index, issue based f-index), we argue that it would improve the discrimination capacity of the Hirsch-type indices significantly and that we can measure the impact of domestic journals more clearly.
