초록
노령화사회에서 노인을 위한 서비스는 도서관의 새로운 도전이다. 본 연구는 노인의 독서 장애요인과 노안에 대해 살펴보고, 노인의 독서를 용이하게 만드는 한글 큰글자도서의 출판과 수집 및 이용가능성을 조사하였다. 큰글자도서의 출판과 유통에 대하여는 국립중앙도서관 소장 서지리스트와 교보문고의 재고 리스트를 기초로 하고, 공공도서관에서 접근가능한 큰글자도서는 한국도서관협회가 보급한 큰글자도서 리스트와 기존의 도서관 장애인서비스 현황조사 데이터를 기초로 하여, 이용가능한 큰글자도서의 유형, 종수와 권수, 출판연도, 주제, 중복성 등을 분석하였다. 분석결과에 따라 문제점을 식별하고 큰글자도서의 서지통정, 수집 확대, 도서관의 노인 독서 진흥 방안 및 후속 연구를 제언하였다.
Abstract
Services for the elderly is a new challenge for the libraries in aging society. This study reviewed the obstacles faced by the old readers and presbyopia, and analyzed the states of the large-print books to understand and estimate the Korean large-print books availability. Based on the bibliographic list of large-print books collected by the National Library of Korea, large-print book stock list of the Kyobo Book Center, large-print book lists supplied to the libraries by the Korean Library Association, and the data of the previous Library Survey for the Disabled, number of titles and volumes, publication year, duplication, and subject field of the large-print books available are analyzed. Based on the results, problems are identified and recommendations for bibliographic control, collection development, reading promotion, and further research area are suggested.

본 연구는 국내 공공도서관에서 장서개발정책 수립 시에 활용할 수 있는 다양한 장서평가 지표를 제시할 목적으로 수행되었다. 이러한 탐색적 연구를 위하여 공공도서관의 실제 데이터를 개별 장서평가 지표에 적용하는 사례연구를 통해서 그 활용 가능성을 확인하고자 하였다. 장서평가 지표 분석을 위하여 서울시 광진구립도서관의 최근 10년간 장서대출 데이터가 이용되었다. 주요 장서평가 지표로는 연도별 구입도서의 장서회전율과 이용계수, 연도별 사서 추천도서 장서회전율과 이용계수, 연도별 비대출도서 비율, 대출자 거주지별 도서관 이용도 등이 분석되었다.
Abstract
This study was implemented to suggest various indicators of collection evaluation for collection development policy in public libraries. For the sake of the exploratory research, this study tried to show the usability of indicators of collection evaluation through actual data of a case study. Also to analyze indicators of collection evaluation, this study used the ten years circulation records of the Gwangjin District Public Library in Seoul. Majors indicators of collection evaluation were the rate of use and use factor of purchasing books by annual, the rate of use and use factor of librarian’s recommended books by annual, the rate of non circulating books by annual, and the rate of use by residence annually.

본 연구는 최근 많은 이슈가 되고 있는 빅데이터를 도서관 분야에 적용하여 다양한 형태의 도서관 빅데이터의 활용 가치에 대한 이해를 높이고 이에 대한 수요자의 요구 분석을 바탕으로 공공도서관 빅데이터 서비스 모형을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 도서관 빅데이터의 개념과 내용 및 가치 등을 고찰하고, 도서관 빅데이터 서비스에 대한 수요 분석을 바탕으로 도서관 빅데이터 서비스 모형을 개발하였다. 서비스 모형 개발을 위해 도서관 빅데이터의 유형에 따라 활용 가능한 도서관 빅데이터를 분석하였으며, 수요자의 요구를 다양한 방법으로 도출하였다. 수요자의 요구 분석은 도서관계 연구자 및 현장 사서와의 심층인터뷰, 표적집단인터뷰(Focus Group Interview, 이하 FGI), 사서 및 이용자 설문조사를 통해 이루어졌다. 이를 바탕으로 총 16개의 도서관 빅데이터 서비스 모형을 정의하고, 서비스의 필요성, 시급성, 개발 가능성을 고려해 최종적으로 사서 의사결정 지원 서비스와 이용자 도서 추천 및 독서이력 관리 서비스 모형을 개발하였다.
Abstract
Big data refers to dataset whose size is beyond the ability of typical database software tools to capture, store, manage, and analyze. And now it is considered to create the new opportunity in every industry. The purpose of this study is to develop of big data services in public library for improved library services. To this end, analysed the type of library big data and needs of stockholders through the various methods such as deep interview, focus group interview, questionnaire. At first step, we defined the 16 big data service models from interview with librarians, and LIS professions. Second step, it was considered necessity, timeliness, possibility of development. We developed the final two services called on ‘Decision Support Services for Public Librarians’ and ‘Book Recommendation Services for Users.’
