교수연구업적을 보다 효과적으로 평가하기 위해서는 연구의 정량 및 정성적 측면을 고려하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 연구의 양적 측면을 보여주는 논문 수와 질적 측면을 반영하는 피인용 수에 의한 국내 문헌정보학과 교수의 연구업적 평가순위를 국내 대학에서 사용되는 연구업적 평가규정을 적용한 순위와 비교․분석하였다. 연구결과, 논문 수에 의한 교수별 순위가 피인용 수에 의한 순위와 차이가 있으며, 대학별 교수 업적평가는 피인용 수보다는 논문 수에 의한 평가와 가까운 것으로 나타났다. 또한 대학별 상이한 논문 배점기준은 교수업적평가 결과에 별다른 영향을 끼치지 않았다. 향후 연구에서는 연구의 양적 및 질적 수준을 보다 잘 반영하는 계량서지학적 지표에 관한 연구가 진행되어야 할 것으로 본다.

Abstract

Effective assessment of faculty research performance should involve considerations of both quality and quantity of faculty research. This study analyzed methods for evaluating faculty research output by comparing the rankings of Library and Information Science(LIS) faculty by publication counts, citation counts, and research performance assessment guidelines employed by Korean universities. The study results indicated that faculty rankings based on publication counts to be significantly different from those based on citation counts. Additionally, faculty rankings measured by university guidelines showed bigger correlations with rankings based on publication counts than rankings by citation counts, while differences in universities guidelines did not significantly affect the faculty rankings. The study findings suggest the need for bibliometric indicators that reflect the quality as well as the quantity of research output.

Abstract

This paper aims to find out the kinds of sub-topics that were researched in relation to Information Literacy (IL). The text mining method was applied to the articles with ‘information literacy’ in the fields of the descriptor, title and abstract in the LISA Database. Also, out of 214 journals that published these articles, those with the top ten highest frequencies were listed and analyzed. Research results show that 908 articles on information literacy were published in 214 journals and ‘User training’ and ‘Students’ were major descriptors in the sub-topic area of information literacy. Also, Reference Services Review and The Journal of Academic Librarianship are two key journals in IL research as they have the highest frequency of related articles and have shown increasing trends.

Abstract

Since the 1990s, informetrics has grown in popularity among information scientists. Today it is a general discipline that comprises all kinds of metrics, including bibliometrics and scientometrics. To illustrate the dynamic progress of this field, this study aims to identify the structure and infrastructure of the informetrics literature using statistical and profiling methods. Informetrics literature was obtained from the Web of Knowledge for the years 2001-2010. The selected articles contain least one of these keywords: ‘informetrics’, ‘bibliometrics’, ‘scientometrics’, ‘webometrics’, and ‘citation analysis.’ Noteworthy publication patterns of major countries were identified by a statistical method. Intellectual structure analysis shows major research areas, authors, and journals.

본 연구는 지적구조분석의 동시단어분석(co-word Analysis)방법을 ‘기업가정신’의 연구에 접목하여 지난 50여 년 간의 ‘기업가정신’과 관련한 국내 연구를 단계별로 분석하였다. 동시단어분석 방법은 연구주제 간의 정보를 시각화하고 이차원 평면에 주제들을 배치하여 연구의 전체적인 동향과 향후 연구 주제를 분석하는 정량적 분석방법으로, 연구 결과 크게 4가지 단계의 연구 경로의 방향성이 도출되었다. 분석에 따르면, 태동기 연구단계(3사분면)에서 연구가 시작되고, 독자적 연구단계(2사분면)의 연구 주제는 연구로서의 독자적인 분야로 정착되는 단계이며, 시대적 상황을 반영하는 연구의 주제들이 포함되어 있다. 성장기 연구단계(1사분면)는 연구주제에 가장 밀접한 관계에 있는 연구주제들이 배치되어 있으며, 성숙기(4사분면)의 연구주제들이 연구의 중심에 위치하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Abstract

This study conducted time-series analysis on domestic studies related to entrepreneurship for more than last 50 years by integrating the co-word analysis method of intellectual structure analysis into the study of entrepreneurship. The co-word analysis method is a quantitative analysis method to analyze the overall trend of the study and further study topics by visualizing the information between study topics and arranging the topics on two-dimensional plane and the study result showed largely four phases and the direction of the study path. According to the analysis, the study is started at embryonic study phase(third quadrant), the study topic of independent study phase(second quadrant) is a phase to be a settled independent area as a study and the topics of the study include topics of the study reflecting the situation of the times. At growing study phase(first quadrant) study topics which are closely related to the study topic are arranged, and the topics, the center of the study, are positioned at the study topics of maturity phase(4th quadrant).
