본 연구는 이용자교육의 활성화를 위하여 공공도서관 어린이 이용자교육 교수학습지도안을 개발하는데 목적이 있다. 교수학습지도안 개발을 위해 문헌조사를 통하여 초등학교 3, 4학년을 이용자교육 대상으로 선정하고 이용자교육 내용으로 오리엔테이션 교육을 도출하였다. 교수학습지도안에 적용할 학습모형으로 학습자의 자발적이고 주체적인 교육 참여와 교수자의 역할을 구체적으로 설계할 수 있는 Jonassen의 구성주의 학습환경 모형을 선정하였다. 교수학습지도안 개발을 위해 먼저 구성주의 학습환경 모형을 분석하고 이용자교육에 적용하여 이용자교육 학습환경과 교수활동을 설계하였다. 이를 바탕으로 교수학습지도안을 작성하여 유용성과 적합성 평가를 진행하였으며 평가에서 제안된 사항을 반영하여 공공도서관 어린이 이용자교육 교수학습지도안을 개발하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to develop the lesson plan of public library user education for children for the activation of user education. For the development of lesson plan, elementary school 3rd and 4th graders were selected as user education subjects through the literature survey, and orientation were derived as contents of user education. This study developed a lesson plan that applies Jonassen’s constructivist learning environments to specifically design the librarian’s role as teacher in user education with voluntary and subjective education participation of the children. Lesson plan was evaluated in terms of usefulness and appropriateness.

본 연구의 목적은 대학도서관 이용자의 도서관 이용행태를 분석하여 대학도서관 공간 활용의 효율성을 제고하는 데 있다. 도서관 이용행태를 분석하기 위해 본 연구는 이용자들이 직접 자신들의 행동을 기록하는 다이어리 기법을 이용했다. 총 108명이 참여를 했고 이들 중 84명이 다이어리를 작성했다. 제출된 다이어리 중 내용을 충실히 작성한 14명의 참여자와 도서관 이용행태, 이용시 문제점 및 요구사항 등에 대한 인터뷰를 진행했다. 다이어리와 인터뷰 분석결과, 공간계획 측면에서 이용되지 않은 공간이나 기기들의 이용률 향상을 위한 방안마련과 서가 브라우징을 통한 정보접근 향상을 위한 방법을 제안했다. 또한 도서관 이용시간 분석을 통해 학생들의 이용행태 및 이용률 제고 방안을 논의했다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to enhance the efficiency of library space usage through analyzing users’ behavior in an academic library. Diary methodology was applied for collecting users’ activities in the library. 108 students participated in this study, but 84 students submitted their diaries. Among them, 14 participants were interviewed to identify barriers and their needs in using the library. The findings suggest rearranging IT devices to increase use rate of those devices, making plans for reusing the space where it is rarely used, and improving the accessibility of information through browsing in the bookstack area. Additionally, time analysis of users’ activities was used to analyze students’ behavior in the library.

본 연구는 기업의 독서경영과 문화경영이 직원의 직무만족과 조직몰입을 높이는 데 도움이 된다는 선행연구들을 기반으로, 공공도서관 직원의 독서활동이 직무만족도와 조직몰입도에 미치는 영향에 대하여 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 설문조사를 통해 수집된 데이터의 분석결과, 이용자 독서모임 참여 정도에 따라 직무자체 만족도, 인간관계 만족도, 자아실현 만족도, 정서적 몰입도, 지속적 몰입도에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 또한 공공도서관 직원의 독서량, 독서시간은 직무자체 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 독서시간은 정서적 몰입도에도 유의한 영향을 미치고 있었다. 이용자 독서모임 참여 기간은 사회적 인식 만족도, 지속적 몰입도, 규범적 몰입도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 직무자체 만족도는 독서시간과 정서적 몰입도 간에 완전매개효과를 가지고 있었고, 사회적 인식 만족도는 이용자 독서모임 참여기간과 지속적 몰입도 및 규범적 몰입도 간에 완전매개효과를 가졌다. 이러한 결과에 따라 본 연구는 공공도서관의 독서경영 도입을 통한 직원 독서환경 조성을 위한 방안을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 첫째, 공공도서관 운영진의 독서경영에 대한 적극적인 관심이 필요하며, 직원들의 독서활동을 위한 다양한 프로그램을 제공해야 한다. 둘째, 공공도서관은 직원들의 이용자 독서모임에 참여를 도모하고, 담당 직원은 지속적으로 참여할 수 있도록 지원해야 한다. 셋째, 공공도서관 직원들의 적극적인 독서활동을 위한 기관 차원의 지속적인 동기부여가 필요하다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of reading activity of employees in public libraries on their job satisfaction and organizational commitment which was suggested by previous studies proving the relationship among the variables in the business area. The results from the survey indicate that there were significant differences in job satisfaction, satisfaction with human relationship, satisfaction of self-realization, affective commitment, and continuance commitment in terms of the frequency of participation in a book club. Additionally, the number of employees’ reading books and hours spent for reading significantly influenced their job satisfaction and the hours spent for reading significantly influenced affective commitment. It was also found that participation continuity for a book club influenced on satisfaction level of social recognition, continuance commitment, and normative commitment. Job satisfaction level had a complete mediation effect between reading hours and affective commitment, and satisfaction from social recognition had a complete mediation effect between participation continuity in a reading meeting, continuance commitment, and normative commitment. Based on these results, this study suggests a plan for constructing a good environment for employees to read through introducing a reading management as follows. Firstly, managers of public libraries need to take an active interest in reading management and various programs to encourage employees to read need to be provided. Secondly, public libraries are required to encourage their employees’ participation in book clubs and support them, so that the employees are able to participate in the book club consistently. Finally, institution-level consistent motivation is needed for an active reading activity.

본 연구는 문헌정보학 분야에서 지리정보시스템을 어떻게 활용할 수 있는지에 대해 미국 플로리다주 Lake 카운티 도서관 이용자 정보를 이용하여 논의하였다. GIS의 다양한 기능 중에서 지오코딩, Thiessen 다각형, 밀집도, 버퍼, 이동거리의 측정 등의 툴들을 이용하여 도서관 이용자 정보를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 도서관 이용자의 위치나 분포형태에 대한 이해를 얻을 수 있었고 도서관 서비스 지역을 설정함으로써 도서관 서비스 계획수립을 위한 토대를 마련할 수 있었다. 또한 Thiessen 다각형이나 버퍼를 통해 이동거리가 도서관 이용에 미치는 영향을 분석함과 동시에 보다 현실적인 도서관 이용자의 이동거리를 측정하는 방법을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Using the library users' data in Lake County Public Library Systems, Florida, US, this study discussed how geographic information systems can be applied in LIS fields. These data were analyzed with such GIS functions as geocoding, Thiessen polygon, density, buffer, and distance measurement. Results indicate that findings from a study of these functions allowed for, not only a better understanding of the geographic locations of library users and user’s library activity patterns, but also for the ability to identify library market areas for future library service planning. Additionally, results from a study of the Thiesen polygon and buffer functions indicated the distance impact on library use. Regarding the travel distance of library users, the measurement of distance using road networks was suggested.
