본고는 사서교사가 정보이용교육을 실시하는 데 필수적인 수행평가 방법 및 도구를 개발하기 위한 것이다. 사서교사의 정보이용교육에서 중요한 영역이 평가이다. 그런데 지금까지 사서교사의 교육 활동은 평가 방법에 대한 연구가 거의 없는 실정이다. 다만, 초·중등학교 정보와 도서관 교육과정에 평가 영역이 제시되어 있을 뿐이다. 이에, 사서교사가 실시하는 정보이용교육을 위한 수행평가 방법 및 도구의 개발은 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 평가 방법과 도구는 평가이론과 목표준거에 입각하여 개발되어야 한다. 본고의 최종적인 목적은 현장 사서교사들이 수행평가이론과 목표준거를 바탕으로 정보이용교육을 위한 다양한 수행평가 방법, 도구, 사례를 구현할 수 있도록 하는 데 있다.

Abstract

This thesis presents the methods and tool development of performance assessment as final stage for information literacy instruction of teacher-librarians. The evaluation is an important part in information literacy instruction of teacher-librarians in the school libraries. But until now, there is little research on evaluation methodologies in the instructional activities of teacher-librarians. There is only evaluation domain presented in the primary and secondary ‘Information and the Library’ curriculum. To develop an evaluation model as a base for measuring performance assessment related to teacher- librarians is important. The goal of this thesis is to provide teacher-librarians with basic principles to develop many kinds of performance assessment tools in their own instructional activities.

Abstract

In this study, web link analysis of the Korean National Archives has been performed using LexiURL to show the dynamic web flow of the National Archives and to identify which closely related institutions the archives should seek to cooperate with for developing an institutional strategic plan. Inlink and co-inlink analysis were performed and, to identify related institutions of the Korean National Archives, a comparison was made with other countries such as Australia, England and the United States. Through web link analysis, several features can be detected and future directions are suggested. Most inlinks and co-inlink of the Korean National Archives were from public institutions, indicating that relationships with educational or research institutions are weak. Moreover, Korean National Archives involve fewer web links related to international activities than other countries. Proceeding from these results, educational function, research function and international activities should be fortified. Korean National Archives need to provide more materials for supporting educational and research activities and more cultural interchange among related institutions. Further research with different heritage institutions such as libraries or museums is needed.

인터넷의 보급 및 이용 활성화에 따라 인터넷을 통한 정보의 검색 및 획득이 정보검색의 일차적인 행태가 되고 있다. 인터넷을 통한 정보검색의 보편화는 인터넷 정보검색 포털이 제공하는 검색서비스의 중요성을 증대시키고 있다. 포털에서 제공하는 정보검색 서비스의 효율화는 인터넷 정보검색 환경의 효율화로 직결될 수 있다. 이에 본 고에서는 인터넷 정보검색 포털에서 제공하고 있는 서비스 가운데 인터넷 정보자료를 선별하고 조직화하여 제공하고 있는 디렉토리 서비스의 분류체계에 대해 고찰하였다. 구체적인 연구주제로 전통적인 문헌분류법에서 여러 주제분야에 공통적으로 적용될 수 있는 형식, 접근법을 모아 구성한 표준구분(standard subdivision) 항목들을 디렉토리 분류체계에서 어떻게 전개하고 있는 지 현황을 분석해 보았다. 이러한 분석을 기반으로 전통적인 문헌분류법의 표준구분에 포함된 항목들을 디렉토리 서비스에서 전개하는 방안을 제시하였다.

Abstract

With the rapid distribution and active usage of the Internet, information search and retrieval through Internet has become a primary form of information access. This ubiquity of information access through Internet means the increased significance of search performance offered by Internet portals, since the optimization of search performance by portal has strong implication for the effective access of information through Internet in general. In this context, this paper investigates the classification scheme used in the directory service of internet portals, which provides selected and organized access to Internet information. First, the author analyzes the deployment of directory classification of standard subdivision topics used in traditional library classification system, with emphasis on the table composed of the form and approach, which are applicable to diverse subject areas. Then, based on this analysis, he proposed a method of applying certain subdivisions of the standard subdivision to directory service of Internet portals.

Abstract

With the purpose of enriching existing catalogues with FRBR, which is the Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records, in mind, this paper aims to evaluate the impact of bibliographic ontology on the overall system’s performance in the field of literature. In doing this, OCLC’s FictionFinder (http://fictionfinder.oclc.org) was selected and qualitatively evaluated. In this study 40 university seniors evaluated the following three aspects using the ‘transferring thoughts onto paper method’: 1) In which ways is this FRBR-aware bibliographical ontology helpful? 2) Are the things which are initially attempted to be helped being helped? 3) Would users seeking one work in particular also see all other related works? In conclusion, this study revealed that, as Cutter claimed in his 2nd rule of the library, collocations give added-value to the users and overall ontology provides better interface and usefulness. It also revealed that a system’s evaluation with qualitative methodology helped to build full pictures of the system and to grip the information needs of the users when the system is developed. Qualitative evaluations, therefore, could be used as indicators for the evaluation of any information retrieval systems.
