미래 도서관의 패러다임이 정보소장에서 정보접근으로 변화됨에 따라 도서관상호협력과 문헌제공서비스의 중요성이 증가하고 있다. 이를 위하여 개별 도서관들은 자료의 구입예산을 절감하고 도서관정보서비스의 질적인 향상을 물론 이용자의 정보서비스에 대한 만족도를 제고한다는 점에서 문헌제공서비스의 활용은 상당한 장점이 있다. 본 연구는 문헌제공서비스의 효과적인 수행과 이용을 위한 국내 이용자들의 문헌제공서비스 트랜잭션 데이터 분석을 통하여 문헌제공서비스의 이용추이와 동향을 예측하고, 여기에 나타난 그들의 요구변화를 검토하여 국내 도서관 및 정보센터의 문헌제공서비스의 질적인 향상과 이용자 만족도 제고에 사용할 수 있는 근거 자료를 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 KISTI-DDS의 실제 이용데이터를 활용하여 문헌제공서비스의 연도별, 지역별, 이용계층별 차이를 분석하였으며, 자료유형별 복사추이도 관찰하였다. 또한 이용자들이 원문복사를 제공하는 복사제공기관과 원문입수방법을 검토하고 연도별, 이용계층별로 의미있는 차이가 있는지를 분석하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the usage patterns of document delivery services of domestic users based on usage transaction data about photocopying services of KISTI-DDS that the most important document delivery organization in Korea. For the purpose of this study, it was investigated the number of processed document, type of favorite documents, ordering coverage for photocopying, delivery methods of photocopying documents for users in DDS(document delivery service) through transaction data of DDS during the past 4 years from 2000 to 2003.

본 연구는 인쇄형 해외학술지 원문제공서비스(DDS)의 경제성을 분석하기 위해 이용자 기반의 경제적 가치 평가 방법론 및 모델을 개발하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 위해 K기관의 구독중인 해외학술지 원문제공서비스의 데이터 중 일부가 분석을 위해 사용되었고 K기관 원문제공서비스 이용자를 대상으로 웹 서베이를 실시하였다. 해외학술지 원문제공서비스의 경제적 가치는 사용가치, 비사용가치, 그리고 기대가치가 고려되었고 사용가치 산출을 위해서는 소득접근법과 시장접근법을 제안하였다. 이용자에 의한 가치 산출을 위해, 본 연구는 조건부가치평가법을 적용하였고 이를 위해 가상 시나리오를 설정하였다.
Abstract
This study is to develope a user-based economic valuation methodology and model for the economic analysis on the DDS of foreign journals. For this study, the sampling data on the annual subscribed journals by K institution was used and the online questionnaire was used to collect data. There are three aspects of the economic value of DDS journals was classified as use value, non-use value, and expectancy value. We suggested the income and market approach to measure its economic use value. To estimate the its value by individual users, this study applied a contingent valuation method and designed the imaginary scenarios.

본 연구는 인쇄잡지 중심의 소장 패러다임 대 전자잡지 위주의 접근 패러다임이 대립하는 상황에서 대학도서관의 하이브리드형 학술지 수집정책의 이론적 토대가 되는 평가요소를 분석하여 한국적 실정을 고려한 외국 학술지의 평가모형 개발에 필요한 기초자료를 마련하는데 그 목적이 있다. 구체적으로 질문지법을 통하여 학술지 수집규모 상위 40개 대학도서관의 외국학술지 선정과정에서 예비평가지표(인쇄형 27개, 전자형 37개)의 적용도를 조사하고, 그 데이터를 다양한 통계적기법으로 분석하였다. 인쇄학술지 평가지표의 요인별 상대적 중요성은 응답 평균값으로 산출하였는데 그 결과는 학과당 구독종수, 이용도, 선정권한, 전자학술지 구독조건, ISI 영향지수, 국제성과 지명도, 구독가격, ILL/DDS, 수장공간 순으로 나타났다. 한편, 전자학술지는 구독가격, 접근성, 전자학술지 구독조건, 컨소시엄, 선정권한, 접근확장성, 학과당 구독종수, 대학의 학문적 특성, ISI 영향지수, ILL/DDS, 국제성과 지명도 순으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purposes of this study are to compare and analyze the evaluation indicators for selection of journal suggested by scholars and organizations and to prepare theoretical background for the ideal model to meet opposing paradigms of collection management in academic libraries. A web survey method was employed to investigate applications of various selection criteria (27 for printed and 37 for electronic academic Journal) from the top 40 academic libraries in Korea. In addition, data were analysed statistically using factor analysis, t-test, Analysis of Variance(ANOVA), and Spearman's Rank Oder Correlation. The mean ranking for 9 evaluation indicators for printed were as follows: subscribing volumes per departments, degree of use, selection authority, electronic/print bundle, ISI impact factor, Internationality and reputation, costs for subscription, ILL & DDS, space considerations for printed materials. But, 11 evaluation indicators for electronic were as follows: costs for subscription, accessibility, electronic/print bundle, consortia, selection authority, access expandability, subscribing volumes per departments, scholarly features of the university, ISI impact factor, ILL & DDS, internationality and reputations.

본 연구의 목적은 외국학술지 지원센터로 시범 선정된 K대 도서관의 원문복사서비스에 대한 경제적 가치를 추정하기 위한 것이다. 신제품이나 신규 서비스의 수요 예측에 활용되는 Bass 확산모형이 본 연구에서 활용되었다. 본 연구를 위하여 2007년 9월 10일부터 9월 20일까지 11일간에 걸친 설문조사도 함께 이루어졌다. 경제적 가치의 추정결과 유용가치는 2015년에 20억원을 약간 상회하는 것으로 나타났고, 지불의사가치의 경우는 20억원에 조금 못 미치는 것으로 조사되었다. 본 연구에서 외국학술지 지원센터의 경제적 가치분석은 원문복사서비스에 한정되었고, 이를 위한 분석방법도 유용가치와 지불의사가치로 제한되었다. 유용가치와 지불의사가치의 인구통계적 분석(성별, 연령, 근무처, 학력)도 함께 이루어졌다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to estimate economic value of document delivery services(DDS) at foreign journal supporting center in K University library. For this study, Bass diffusion model, which is widely used in forecasting, especially new product and new service forecasting, was adopted. User survey was also carried out from September 10 to 20, 2007. As a result, useful value(UV) of DDS is estimated about not less than 2,000,000,000 won, and willingness to pay(WTP) is estimated about less than 2,000,000,000 won. This study, economic value analysis at foreign journal supporting center, was limited to DDS, and used methodology for the study is also limited to UV and WTP. Demographic analysis(i.e., sex, age, occupation, educational level) for UV and WTP is also conducted.

본 연구는 2004년에서 2012년까지 9년간의 KERIS 문헌복사 트랜잭션 데이터를 대상으로 문헌복사 서비스 참여기관에 대한 통계 분석과 네트워크 분석을 수행하였다. 연구 결과 발견한 주요 사실은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 신청건수가 제공건수에 비해 많은 기관이 전체 기관 중에서 약 80%를 차지하고 있었다. 둘째, 신청과 제공면 모두 건수가 많은 상위기관들에게 문헌복사 서비스 의존도가 높으며, 특히 제공면에서 그 집중도가 더욱 높았다. 셋째, 2012년 대학도서관 학술지를 대상으로 주제별 네트워크 분석 결과 각 주제별로 단일기관 집중형, 복수기관 주도형, 다수기관 분산형과 같은 세 가지 유형의 협력체제가 나타남을 파악하였다.
Abstract
In this study, we analyzed KERIS Document Delivery Service (DDS) using its transaction data for the period of nine years from 2004 to 2012. We first examined the overall statistics focusing on member contributions, and conducted a network analysis based on the records of request/response (supply) between member libraries. Key findings include the following: First, in over 80% of member libraries, the number of outgoing requests exceeded the number of their responses to incoming requests. That is, for the vast majority of member libraries, their participation was concentrated on the request side. Second, KERIS DDS relies heavily on a relatively small number of top contributors, especially on the supply side. While the top contributors were active in both requests and responses (supplies), in most cases, they received and processed a disproportionally large number of requests. Third, the network analysis based on DDS requests for journal articles in 2012 further revealed the central role of top contributors. The level and pattern of concentration, however, appeared to differ by subjects (DDC). Three main patterns of centralization were found in different subjects - a network centered on a single member, a network having multiple centers, or a distributed network.

웹기반 학술정보 커뮤니케이션이 보편화되고 정보공급자 및 이용자와의 직접적인 커뮤니케이션이 확산되는 등 원문서비스 환경의 변화는 원문서비스 기관에 적지 않은 영향을 미치고 있다. 특히 웹을 통하여 이용자에게 원문을 제공하는 전자원문서비스의 등장은 전자형태 정보의 신속하고 용이한 복제 및 배포로 인하여 그 운영에 있어서 저작권과의 마찰을 피할 수 없다. 이 연구에서는 원문서비스 환경의 주요 변화와 동향을 검토하고, 해외 전자원문서비스 사례를 파악함으로써 국내 웹기반 원문서비스인 e-DDS가 국내 저작권법에서 이슈가 되는 부분 및 향후 해결해 나가야 할 부분들을 검토하고자 한다.
Abstract
Changes in document delivery service environment such as spread of web-based research information communication and direct communication between users and information providers have considerable effects on document delivery service institutes. Swift advances in information technology have allowed users to receive information on their desktops via web. Web-based document delivery makes the massive scale of reproduction and distribution possible so it need to protect the copyright holders' rights. This study identifies the current trends and issues of document delivery service environment and reviews electronic document delivery services of foreign countries. Also this study introduces the domestic electronic document delivery service, e-DDS, and evaluates the copyright issues for the service.

이 논문은 학술지가 지니는 다양한 속성들(내부적인 요소, 외부적인 요소, 그리고 요구론적 요소)이 학술지의 이용 가치에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지에 대한 실증적 사례분석을 목적으로 하였다. 이 사례연구의 방법은 웹 질문지법을 채택하였으며, K기관 원문서비스 이용자와 DDS 담당자들을 대상으로 수집된 총 383개의 유효한 데이터를 분석하였다. 학술지의 내부적인 요소(즉, IF, 학술지 가격, 사용언어)가 학술지 이용가치에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 학술지의 외부적인 요소와 요구론적 요소는 학술지 이용가치에 별다른 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this empirical case study is to explore what factors affect on the economic valuation of academic journals and to ascertain the degree of each impact. For this study, factors were categorized into three groups: internal factors, external factors and demand theory factors. The on-line questionnaire was used to collect data and 383 responded from individual users of and the persons in charge of the DDS(Document Delivery Service). Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 12.0 for Windows/PC. The result showed that there exist a strong relationship between the internal factors of academic journals(i.e., Impact Factor, Cost, and Language) and economic valuation in terms of its use value.
