본 연구는 관계 마케팅 분야의 핵심 개념인 전환비용을 도서관 분야에 적용하기 위하여, 문헌 조사 및 면접 조사에 근거하여 대학 도서관 이용자들이 지각하는 전환비용을 정의한 후, 전환비용에 관한 척도를 개발하고 그 타당성을 검증하였다, 또한 210명의 대학 도서관 이용자들을 대상으로 수행된 설문 조사를 통하여 이들이 지각하는 전환비용이 도서관에 대한 태도적, 행동적 충성도에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 도서관 이용자들이 지각하는 전환 비용은 이용자가 사용 중인 도서관에서 다른 도서관으로 전환하는 경우 발생하는 절차적, 관계적 비용으로 정의되었다. 조사 결과, 절차적 전환비용 및 관계적 전환비용은 이용자 만족도와 함께 정서적 몰입을 통해 행동적 충성도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 한 이론적, 실무적 시사점이 논의되었다.
Abstract
In order to apply the concept of switching costs to the library context, this study aims to identify library users’ perceived switching costs, develop and validate a measurement scale for switching costs. A survey involving 210 university students was performed in order to examine the influence of switching costs on the affective commitment and behavioral commitment. Library users’ perceived switching costs refer to the procedural and relational costs involved in switching from one library to another. The results of this study show that two types of switching costs as well as library service satisfaction have positive influences on affective commitment, which in turn affects behavioral commitment. The theoretical and practical implications of this study are discussed.

이 연구는 공공도서관 자원봉사자의 참여동기를 파악하고, 어떤 요인들이 자원봉사의 지속과 강도에 영향을 주는지를 109명의 대구지역 공공도서관 자원봉사자에 대한 설문조사를 바탕으로 하여 실증적으로 분석하였다. 공공도서관 자원봉사의 참여동기는 대부분 자기발전이나 성취감, 보람감과 지역사회의 문제해결 등으로 나타났으며, 선행연구에서 나타난 환경적 요인, 역할모델 요인, 보상요인, 인지요인 등이 자원봉사의 지속과 강도에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 이 연구에서 새롭게 투입된 공공도서관에 대한 충성도는 공공도서관 자원봉사자의 지속과 강도에 영향을 주는 중요한 요인이 될 수 있는 것으로 조사되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the motivation of participation in the public library volunteers, and what factors influence on continuity and intensity of volunteer activity. It analyzed the questionnaires from 109 public library volunteers in Daegu Metropolitan City. First, public library volunteers were mainly participated by motivation for personal achievement and concerns on local welfare problems. Second, in case of the factors on the continuity and intensity of public library volunteer activity, four factors selected based on literature review had significant effects on each variables. Third, the loyalty on the public library newly investigated had also significant effects on the continuity and intensity of public library volunteer activity.
