본 연구는 대학도서관의 연구데이터관리서비스 개발을 위하여 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는 연구데이터관리서비스의 요소와 제공 수준을 알아보고, 국내에서 연구비 규모가 가장 큰 대학인 서울대학교 소속 연구자들을 대상으로 인터뷰를 진행하여 연구자들의 연구데이터관리 및 공유와 이용, 서비스에 대한 요구를 분석하였다. 인터뷰 참여자들은 해외 연구비지원기관 또는 학술 저널에서 제시하는 데이터 공유 의무조항에 대한 인식과 이행 경험이 부족하고 데이터를 체계적으로 관리하는데 어려움을 겪고 있었다. 그러나 상당수의 연구자들이 데이터 관리 및 연구데이터관리서비스 관련 교육에 대한 필요성에 대해 동감하고 있었다. 이를 바탕으로, 연구데이터관리서비스를 교육서비스, 전문 컨설팅 서비스, 큐레이션 기술 서비스 요소로 나누어 각 요소별 이용자의 요구를 반영한 서비스를 제안하였다. 본 연구결과는 향후 국내 대학도서관 및 연구데이터관리서비스를 계획하고 있는 기관에서 서비스 개발의 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study aimed to develop Research Data Management (RDM) Services in a domestic university library of Korea. In this study, elements and levels of RDM services are examined and in-depth interview was conducted with university researchers affiliated in Seoul National University, which has the largest amount of research fund among universities in Korea. Interview was conducted to analyze their data management practices and needs of RDM services. Interview results show researchers’ lack of awareness toward Data Management Policy and data sharing obligations of funding agencies and academic journal publishers. Also, they had trouble managing research data systematically. However, many of the researchers understand the necessary of research data management and education of data management. Based on the interview result, service elements and contents are suggested for RDM services which is consisted of education services, professional consulting services, curation technical services. This study result will help to guide for the planning the future RDM service in university library of Korea.

디지털 큐레이션은 디지털 시대의 새로운 정보관리 및 서비스라고 할 수 있다. 디지털 환경에서 정보자원에 대한 체계적 관리 및 서비스를 추구한다는 측면에서 디지털 큐레이션은 문헌정보학의 핵심 영역에 해당한다. 본 연구는 디지털 큐레이션 관련 문헌들을 검토하여 주요 연구 영역을 설정하고, 대표적인 문헌정보학 분야 학술 데이터베이스(LISTA)에서 검색한 학술 논문들을 대상으로 연구동향을 분석하였다. 또한 이러한 연구동향 분석의 결과에 기초하여 문헌정보학 분야의 디지털 큐레이션 관련 향후 연구과제를 제시하였다.
Abstract
Digital curation can be said that the new information management and services in the digital age. In terms of exploring the systematic management and services for the information resources in the digital environment, Digital curation is one the core areas of library and information science. This study was set up a research areas as a result of reviewing the related literatures, and analyzed the research trends to the scholarly articles retrieved from a representative databases in the areas of Library and Information Science (LISTA). Also, I suggested future research agendas for digital curation in the areas of library and information science based on the results of the this analysis.
초록
본 연구에서는 KISTI 콘텐츠 큐레이션 센터의 업무를 중심으로 콘텐츠 라이프 사이클에 맞는 큐레이션 모델인 KISTI CLCM을 개발하였다. 이를 위해 앞서 개발된 모델 DCC, DCC&U, UC3, DCN 모델 등을 살펴보고, 디지털 큐레이션 센터의 업무와 연결되는 모델들의 장점을 도출하였다. KISTI 콘텐츠 큐레이션 센터의 업무담당자들과의 집단 면담을 통해 센터에서 다루는 콘텐츠의 특징을 파악하고 현 업무의 성취정도를 확인하였다. 또한 본 연구에서는 UC3 모델을 기반으로 KISTI 콘텐츠 큐레이션 웨이브를 개발하여 이용자 중심의 서비스를 발굴하고 디지털 자원에 새로운 가치를 추가하여 활용성을 높일 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study developed KISTI CLCM, a curation model suitable for the content life cycle, focusing on the KISTI Content Curation Center. For developing the KISTI Curation Model, the previously developed models DCC, DCC&U, UC3 and DCN models were reviewed and the advantages of the models connected to the mission and tasks of the digital curation center were derived. Interviews with staffs of the KISTI Content Curation Center identified the characteristics of the content and identified the level of achievement of the current task. In addition, this study proposed to enhance usability by developing KISTI content curation waves based on the UC3 model to discover user-centered services and add new values to digital resources.
