본 연구는 정규 과목으로서 정보이용교육을 수강하는 대학생들을 대상으로 이들의 컴퓨터활용능력과 도서관 관련 지식이 이용빈도와 정보활용능력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 조사하고, 이용빈도와 정보활용능력은 어떠한 상관관계가 있는지를 분석하여 보다 나은 정보이용교육의 수업 방향을 제시하고자 함을 목적으로 하였다. 서울경기지역 소재 7개 대학의 8개 수업 수강생들을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였으며, 가설검증을 통해 변인들의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 정보이용교육의 중요성에 대한 대학당국의 인식과 더불어 향후의 정보이용교육은 도서관자료를 이용한 학술정보활용 중심으로 이루어져야 할 것임을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to reveal how undergraduate students' computer literacy and library knowledge can affect their frequency of library material use and information literacy, and analyze the correlations between frequency of library material use and information literacy. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to students of 7 universities in 8 credit-given user education courses, and correlations with variables were analyzed through hypothesis testing. It was suggested that with strong support of university administration, user education should be taught by using more of scholarly library material.

본 연구는 정보활용교육 분야의 연구주제들을 파악하여 정보활용교육에 제안할 수 있는 요소들이 있는지를 살펴보는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 우선, 정보활용교육과 관련된 문헌정보학 분야의 논문 97편을 대상으로 토픽모델링을 적용하여 ‘미디어 리터러시’, ‘정보활용교육의 교수학습방법’, ‘정보원 이용 및 판단’ 등의 주요 주제를 파악하였다. 분석 결과를 바탕으로, 교육내용 측면에서는 Big 6 정보모형, 교육방법과 관련해서는 미국 사서교사협회의 정보활용 능력기준과 미국 대학 및 연구도서관협회의 정보활용교육 개발지침을 고려하여 정보활용교육 교육내용을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 정보활용교육 전반의 연구주제와 연관된 교육 요소들을 파악하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 ‘정보원 이용 및 판단’, ‘정보윤리’와 관련된 교육내용을 보다 강조하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The aim of this study is to identify the research topics and suggest an information literacy curriculum by analyzing research articles on information literacy. For this purpose, we applied the topic modeling technique to 97 scientific articles and identified the core contents of information literacy education, such as media literacy, information literacy instruction, and the use of information resources. Based on the analysis results, we suggested an information literacy curriculum by considering the Big 6 model, information literacy standards of American Association of School Library, and Association of College and Research Libraries’s information literacy competencies. This study is significant in that it considered ‘use of information resources’ and ‘information ethics’ to suggest information literacy education.

정보기술의 급격한 발전은 이용 가능한 정보량의 급증 뿐 만 아니라 정보의 형태에 있어서도 다양화를 가져왔다. 정보이용능력은 정보를 검색하고, 분석하고 이용하는데 필요한 기술이다. 이는 대학교육의 핵심 목표이자 도서관 교육의 새로운 경향으로 인식되고 있다. 그러나 급증하는 정보이용능력에 관한 관심에도 불구하고, 교육 프로그램이나 교수-사서간의 협력에 관한 논의는 부족한 실정이다. 도서관 교육이 교과과정의 일부가 되기 위해서는 대학구성원간의 긴밀한 협력이 반드시 필요하다. 본 연구는 외국 대학도서관에서 채택하고 있는 정보이용능력 교육 프로그램을 개관하고, 대학구성원간 협력에 있어 성공사례를 분석해보았다. 또한 이를 바탕으로 우리나라 대학에서 정보이용능력 교육의 시행에 필요한 절차의 개요를 제시해보았다
Abstract
The rapid advances in information technologies have resulted in not only the proliferation of the amount of information available but also the variety of information formats. Information literacy is the set of skills needed to find, retrieve, analyze, and use information. Therefore, information literacy which should be the core goal of the university education has been a new trend of the library instruction. Nevertheless, despite the increasing Interest in the information literacy. there has been little discussion about educational Programs. and there has been little coordination between faculty and librarians on the programs. Under such circumstances, campus-wide teamwork is needed so that the library instruction can become part of the entire learning Processes of university education. This Paper presents an overview of the models adopted by foreign university libraries and also analyses the successful cases of the campus-wide partnership of each model of information literacy programs. Based on these. the outline of the needed procedure for the enforcement of the information literacy in the university of our country is suggested.

개인의 정보활용능력은 단기적으로는 현안 문제를 해결하고 장기적으로는 평생학습을 가능하게 해줌으로써 개인의 경쟁력에 많은 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 중요성이 부각되고 있는 정보활용능력이 개인의 성과와 상관관계를 가지는지를 대학생 집단을 대상으로 검증해 보았다. 개인의 성과 지표로는 실험집단이 대학생인 점을 고려하여 학업성취도인 평점평균을 채택하였다. 검증결과 정보활용능력(information literacy)에 대한 자기효능감(self-efficacy)과 학업성취도간에는 상관관계가 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 이러한 상관관계는 지속되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 연구를 통해 정보활용능력이 개인의 성과에 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였고 이는 정보활용능력 관련 교과의 개설에 대한 당위성을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
Information literacy of the individuals affects their competitive capability significantly by providing problem solving skills in the short run, and by enabling life-long learning in the long run. This study examines if information literacy capacity has any relationship with individuals' achievement level through the experiment with college student subject group. As evidences for individual achievement level, we adopted GPA's(grade point average) of students. As a result, it was confirmed that information literacy and academic achievements has positive relationship. Additionally, it has been found that this relationship has a tendency of sustaining for a significant period. These experiment results would serve as a rationale for providing information literacy courses in the academic curriculum.

본 연구는 정보활용능력의 기준과 범위를 설정하여 평가영역 및 평가문항을 설계함과 동시에 대학생들의 현재 정보활용능력의 수준을 진단하고 분석하여 정보활용능력 개발을 위한 평가모형을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 실증적인 연구를 위해 정보활용능력 웹 평가사이트를 설계하여 학부학생을 대상으로 정보활용능력을 측정하였다. 정보활용능력 구성영역을 통계적 요인분석을 통해 정보자원 영역, 정보요구 영역, 정보검색 영역, 정보분석 영역, 정보기술 및 표현 영역, 정보윤리 영역임을 밝혀내었고, 기초환경 요인, 자가진단 요인, 영역별 요인, 정보활용능력 총점 요인 및 문항분석을 통해 평가설계 요소와 평가절차, 영역별, 수준별 교육 및 평가지침을 제시하였으며, 이를 근거로 정보활용능력의 통합적 평가모형을 개발하였다.
Abstract
This study is aimed to evaluate the undergraduate students’ information literacy, examine the current level of their capability of using information, and make a evaluation model to develop information literacy. Information literacy consists of six fields: information resources, information needs, information search, information analysis, information technology and presentation, and information ethics. Based on the result of statistic factor analysis, the integrated evaluation model of information literacy, evaluation factor, and evaluation procedure can be suggested based on the instruction guidance.

본 연구는 키워드 네트워크 분석과 토픽모델링을 활용하여 국내 정보활용교육 연구의 흐름을 살펴보고 향후 정보활용교육의 방향성을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 국내 문헌정보학 분야의 학술지에 게재된 정보활용교육과 관련된 논문 306편을 선정하고, 논문의 초록을 대상으로 전처리 과정을 거쳐 전체 키워드 출현 빈도, 시기별 키워드 출현 빈도, 키워드 동시출현 빈도분석을 수행하였다. 이어서 키워드 네트워크 분석을 통해 키워드의 연결중심성과 매개중심성, 위세중심성을 분석하였다. 또한 구조적 토픽모델링 분석을 활용하여 15개의 토픽(교육과정, 정보활용교육 효과, 정보활용교육 내용, 학교도서관 교육, 정보매체활용, 정보활용능력 평가 지표, 도서관 불안, 공공도서관 프로그램, 대학도서관 이용자교육, 건강정보 활용능력, 정보격차, 도서관활용수업 개선, 연구 동향, 정보활용교육 모델, 교사 역할)을 도출하고, 토픽별로 비중의 변화를 확인하기 위해 연도별 토픽 추이를 분석하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 정보활용교육의 방향성과 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the flow of domestic information literacy education research using keyword network analysis and topic modeling and to explore the direction of information literacy education in the future. For this reason, 306 academic papers related to information literacy education published in academic journals of the library and information science field in Korea were chosen. And through the preprocessing process for abstracts of the paper, total keyword appearance frequency, keyword appearance frequency by period, and keyword simultaneous occurrence frequency were analyzed. Subsequently, keyword network analysis analyzed the degree centrality, between centrality, and eigenvector centrality of keywords. Using structural topic modeling analysis, 15 topics -curriculum, information literacy effect, contents of information literacy education, school library education, information media literacy, information literacy ability evaluation index, library anxiety, public library program, health information literacy ability, digital divide, library assisted instruction improvement, research trend, information literacy model, and teacher role-were derived. In addition, the trend of topics by year was analyzed to confirm the change in relative weight by topic. Based on these results, the direction of information literacy education and the suggestions for follow-up research were presented.

본 연구는 현재 다양한 형태로 시행되고 있는 국내 대학도서관 맞춤형 이용자 교육의 전반적인 운영 현황을 조사하고, 이를 토대로 해당 교육을 활성화하는데 필요요건과 장애요인을 파악하고자 하는 목적으로 실시되었다. 전국 4년제 대학 중앙도서관을 대상으로 전수조사하여 총 206개관의 웹사이트에서 맞춤형 교육의 전반적인 사항을 파악한 후, 설문지법을 통해 교육 운영 현황을 조사하였다. 연구결과, 설문에 응답한 총 149개관 가운데 94개관(63.1%)에서 맞춤형 교육을 운영하고 있었으며, 55개관(36.9%)에서는 해당 교육을 시행하지 않고 있었다. 국내 대학도서관 맞춤형 교육은 예산, 사서 수 등 도서관의 가용자원이 많을수록 더 활성화되어 있었으며, 사서의 자질 중에서는 학력, 전공 등과 같은 능력보다 봉사정신이 교육 운영 활성화에 더 영향력 있는 요소로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구결과는 대학도서관 실무자들에게 맞춤형 교육 운영과 서비스에 대한 기초정보를 제공하고, 향후 후속 연구의 토대가 되는 기반연구로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the current practices of the customized bibliographic instructions (CBI) at four-year academic libraries in Korea. Among the entire 206 academic libraries, a total of 149 libraries participated in the survey. Study result shows that the libraries providing CBI was 63.1%. The findings of the study revealed the overall picture of the CBI operated in Korean academic libraries. The findings of the study suggested useful strategies to apply in adopting and operating the CBI in academic libraries in Korea.

대학에서 효과적인 연구와 학습이 이루어지기 위해서는 정보의 필요성을 인지하고, 찾아내고 평가하며, 효과적으로 사용할 수 있는 능력을 포함한 정보활용교육이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 국내․외 단체와 학자들에 의해 제시된 정보활용능력 기준 및 모형과 정보활용교육 사례를 기초로 대학생을 위한 정보활용교육 교안을 제시하고자 하였다. 정보활용교육은 1회성 교육이 갖는 한계를 극복하기 위해 정규교과목으로 운영되어야 하며, 대학도서관 정보와의 연계 및 효과적인 활용을 위해 그리고, 대학도서관 및 사서의 역할에 대한 전략적 측면의 고려를 위해 도서관 전문사서의 주도적 또는 협력적 역할이 필수적이다. 또한, 현 세대의 성향과 요구를 반영한 내용구성의 변화와 학생들의 주체적이고 자발적인 참여를 이끌어내기 위한 방법적 측면의 고려가 필요한 것으로 분석되었다.
Abstract
Information literacy education which deals with the ability for recognizing the necessity of information, finding, evaluating, and using the information effectively is essential for the college members to do research or learn effectively. This study intended to suggest the lecture program for information literacy education for college students based on information literacy standards and models suggested by the organizations and scholars domestic and foreign as well as information literacy education cases. Information literacy education should be adopted as a regular curriculum to overcome one time event’s limit. Besides, the professional librarians must involve as a role either leading or cooperative in running information literacy education in order to relate the library resources with the education and use them effectively. Finally, when it comes to the strategic aspect of the college library and the librarians’ role, the professional librarians’ leading or cooperative role is also essential. Additionally, analysis shows that information literacy education needs to be reorganized in contents so that it reflects the college students’ patterns to use information and their needs. Lastly, it needs to be thought over in how to lead the students to participate in the course independently and voluntarily.

본 연구에서는 학습주제의 연결망 구조와 스캔 및 클러스터 분석을 통해서 추출한 정보활용교육의 표준 학습주제를 가지고, 교과 교육과정과의 연계성을 갖춘 통합 정보활용교육과정을 개발하고자 하였다. 그리고 개발한 통합 정보활용교육과정의 실제 운영을 위한 교수-학습모형을 설계하였다. 본 연구에서는 정보활용교육과 교과 교육과정의 공통성 분석을 위해서 간학문적 성격을 갖는 정보활용교육의 학습주제를 분석기준으로 활용하였다. 공통성 분석결과 다음과 같은 특징을 발견하였다. 첫째, 제1학습주제(기초 학습기술과 인성 영역)가 속한 정보사회, 도서관, 정보기술, 협력기술 영역은 교과 교육과정과 연계성이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 정보활용교육의 핵심 영역인 제2학습주제(정보문제 해결능력 영역)는 교과 연계성이 낮게 나타났다.
Abstract
This study sought to develop an integrated information literacy curriculum that would have a strong relationship with curricula through the standard themes abstracted from theme network structures, scan and cluster analyses of the information literacy curricula. In addition, this study also attempted to develop a teaching-learning model for the developed integrated information literacy curriculum. This study utilized the themes of information literacy instruction that have interdisciplinary characteristics as analysis criteria in analyzing the commonality of information literacy instruction and the subject curricula. The following characteristics were found from the analyzing the areas of commonality. Foremost, the first themes(the fields of basic learning skills and nature) which belongs to the fields of information society, library, information technology, collaborative skills were found to have many relationships with the subject curricula. Next, the second themes(the field of information problem solving capabilities) which is the core field of information literacy instruction showed a weak relationship with the subject curricula.

본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 정보매체활용에 따른 학습효율성의 차이를 분석하였다. 연구를 위한 설문조사 표본은 모두 106개 이었고, 단순회귀분석결과 컴퓨터활용능력과 정보매체활용에 대하여는 t=2.990(p=0.003), sig=0.05, 정보매체활용과 학습효율성에서는 t=41.758(p=0.000), sig=0.05으로 유의적으로 나타났다. 반면, 컴퓨터활용능력과 학습효율성에 관해서는 t=-1.756(p=0.082), sig=0.05.로 비유의적으로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구는 정보매체를 활용한 수업방식에 있어서 보다 효과적인 교수법에 대한 기초자료를 제시하였다. 아울러 대학에서 다양하게 적용되고 있는 정보매체를 활용한 수업에 고려해야 할 사항들을 제시함으로써 효과적인 정보화교육 및 교수방법에 새로운 방향을 모색하였다.
Abstract
This study analyzed the difference of learning efficiency by using information media applications for undergraduate students. The survey samples for research were 106 and the results showed significant by simple regulation analysis on computer applications and information media applications with t=2.990(p=0.003), sig=0.05 and on information media applications and learning efficiency with t=41.758(p=0.000), sig=0.05. Otherwise, the result showed no significant on computer applications and learning efficiency with t=-1.756(p=0.082), sig=0.05. As a result, this study provided basic materials on more effective teaching methods than a class using information applications. As providing facts to be consider a class using information media this study found to be new directions on effective information education and teaching methods.
