본 연구는 대학생들의 개인적 특성이 도서관 모바일 이용도와 도서관 모바일 콘텐츠 이용 패턴에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았다. 개인적 특성의 변인들로는 대학생의 성별, 전공, 학년, 대학, 인지된 유용성, 개인적 혁신성 및 스마트폰 의존도를 사용하였다. 설문 조사는 두 개의 대학들의 학부생 309명을 대상으로 진행하였다. 조사 결과, 전공, 학년, 인지된 유용성 및 개인적 혁신성은 모바일 이용도에, 그리고 성별, 전공, 대학 및 스마트폰 의존도는 모바일 콘텐츠 이용 패턴에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 끝으로 이러한 연구 결과를 반영하여 효율적인 대학도서관 모바일 구현을 위한 방안들을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to investigate the influence of undergraduate students’ personal characteristics on the use behaviors of library mobiles and its contents. We used gender, major, grade, university, perceived usefulness, personal innovativeness, and smartphone dependency variables to measure their personal characteristics. We conducted a survey with 309 undergraduate students who belong to two universities. The results showed that the major, grade, perceived usefulness, and innovativeness variables significantly influenced the use frequency of library mobiles, while the gender, major, university, and smartphone dependency ones did the use pattern of library mobile contents. Based on the results, we proposed three methods for constructing an efficient university library mobile.

본 연구는 청각장애 대학생들의 도서관 이용행태와 정보요구를 파악하여, 그들에게 적절한 도서관 서비스 프로그램 등을 개발하기 위한 기초자료를 수립하는데 목적이 있다. 그 목적을 달성하기 위해 청각장애 대학생에게 설문조사와 면접을 실시, 총 155명의 데이터를 수집하였고, 그 데이터를 빈도분석, 교차검증, t-검증, 일원분산분석으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 청각장애 대학생의 성별, 학년, 장애등급, 출신학교, 학과, 사용 보장구에 따라 도서관 이용형태(정보수집의 어려움, 도서관 이용횟수, 도서관 이용목적, 도서관을 이용하지 않는 이유) 전 영역에서 유의미한 차이를 발견하였다. 그리고 청각장애 대학생의 사용 보장구의 종류, 출신학교, 장애등급에 따른 정보요구의 차이를 분석한 결과, 사용 보장구에 따른 정보요구(최신 자료 확충, 이용자 교육홍보, 수화통역사, 홈페이지 개선, 열람환경개선)는 전 영역에서 유의미한 차이를 보였고, 출신학교에 따른 정보요구(이용자 교육홍보, 수화통역사 배치)와 장애등급에 따른 정보요구(이용자 교육홍보, 열람환경 개선)에서도 일부 유의미한 차이를 보였다.
Abstract
This study looks into how hearing-impaired college students use libraries and what their information needs are in order to prepare basic materials which would be applied for developing a library service program and others proper enough to be used by the hearing-impaired college students. In order to achieve the research goal, the study gathered data from a total of 155 hearing-impaired college students through a survey and interviews and a frequency analysis, a cross validation, a t-test and a one-way ANOVA were conducted to analyze the data. At the end of its research, the study confirmed that the hearing-impaired college students’ gender, years, degrees of disability, schools, specialties and prosthetic appliances would make significant differences in how the students use the libraries. In addition, the study took a look into differences in the hearing-impaired college students’ information needs caused by types of the students’ prosthetic appliances, schools and degrees of disability and found out that these types of the prosthetic appliances the students use would significantly affect every category of their information needs. The study now also understands that both the schools and the degrees of disability would make significant differences in a few categories of the information needs, and the former influences education and promotion targeting users and arrangement of sign language interpreters while the latter affects education and promotion targeting users and improvements in browsing environments.

본 연구에서는 국내 쇼핑 검색 사이트인 팝슈즈 이용자들의 정보 검색 행태를 조사, 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 팝슈즈에서 2015년 1월부터 3월까지 3개월 동안 생성된 검색 로그를 수집, 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 팝슈즈 이용자들의 검색 행태는 매우 단순하고 수동적인 것으로 나타났다. 이용자들이 정보 접근 시, 질의를 직접 입력하여 검색하는 경우보다 사이트에 구축되어 있는 디렉토리를 브라우징하는 경우가 더 많은 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 제품 정보 클릭이나 제품 주문과 같은 주요 의사 결정에 있어서는 브라우징보다 질의의 역할이 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 쇼핑 검색 서비스의 개선에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
This study aims to investigate information seeking behavior of Popshoes users. Transaction logs of Popshoes, a major Korean shopping search engine, were analyzed. These transaction logs were collected over 3 months period, from January 1 to March 31, 2015. The results of this study show that Popshoes users behave in a simple and passive way. In the total sessions, more users chose to browse a directory than typing and submitting a query. However, queries played a more crucial role in important decision makings such as search results clicks and product purchases than directory browsing. The results of this study can be implemented to the effective development of shopping search engines.

변호사의 정보추구행태연구는 전문가 정보추구행태 연구의 하나로서 연구되어왔다. Leckie 등의 모델과 같은 선행 연구들에서 분석되었던 변호사의 정보추구행태가 오늘날 한국 변호사에도 적용될 수 있는가를 연구 질문으로, 본 연구는 변호사의 정보추구행태를 분석하기 위하여 21명의 변호사를 대상으로 설문조사과 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 특히 변호사의 경험(경력)과 소속 로펌규모 별로 조사대상을 선정하여 정보추구행태의 특성을 파악하였다. 그 결과 Leckie 등의 모델은 오늘날 한국 변호사에도 실제적으로 적용가능하며, 또한 선행 연구에서 파악되었던 변수(변호사 경력, 로펌규모 등) 역시 여전히 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 반면, 오늘날 변호사들은 비공식커뮤니케이션을 통한 비공식 정보보다는 공식 채널을 통한 정보추구를 보다 선호하며, 전자형태 정보를 더 많이 이용하는 것으로도 분석됨으로써 기존 선행 연구와는 상이한 정보추구행태를 보여주었다. 나아가 개별 인터뷰를 통해서는 첫 번째 온라인 검색이 실패한 경우에 동료나 선후배를 통한 비공식 커뮤니케이션 방식을 보다 적극적으로 활용하고 있다는 점도 파악할 수 있었다.
Abstract
The prior studies on the practical lawyer’s information seeking behaviors, including Leckie et al. (1996) model showed that role of the work and nature of the work in attorney’s practices had an significant influence on the attorney’s information seeking behaviors. This study now asks if these prior analyses can be applicable to attorneys’ practices nowadays. This study performed surveys and interviews with 21 practical attorneys in korea who were grouped by their experience period and the size of law firms. This study concludes that role of the work in Leckie et al. model still affects the attorneys’ information seeking behaviors today and moreover, the attorney’s experience and the size of law firms as variables also have made an impact on attorney’s behaviors so far. By the way, this study further finds that the attorneys prefer the digital information in online database and formal information like statutes or case laws. These results are definitely different from them of the prior studies. In addition, this study suggests that the behavior such as meaningful using of the informal information in difficulties with improper information can be kinds of the attorney’s information seeking behaviors.

이 연구는 의학도서관 이용자의 대출기록을 이용하여 자료이용행태를 분석하고 이를 통해 이용자를 위한 효율적인 장서구성과 도서관서비스 개선에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 A 의학도서관에서 2012년부터 2014년까지 최근 3년간 발생한 대출기록 90,420건의 신분별/주제별 대출 통계와 상위 대출빈도 도서, 상호대차 서비스 이용 데이터를 수집하여 분석하였다. 연구 대상은 학부생과 대학원생, 교수직, 수련직, 일반직을 포함한 병원 직원을 대상으로 하였다. 그 결과, 의학도서관 이용자들은 기술과학 분야의 자료와 문학자료, 사회과학 분야 자료를 집중적으로 대출하였다. 특히 장서구성대비 문학자료에 대한 요구가 상대적으로 다른 주제 영역에 비해 높았다.
Abstract
The aim of this study is supporting efficient development of library collection and improvement of library service for users by analyzing utilization patterns of library collection using circulation statistics of medical library users. With this purpose, circulation statistics were extracted from 90,420 cases of circulation records in A library for recent 3 years (from 2012 to 2014). Specifically, circulation data categorized according to status and subject, loan data of most popular books and use data of inter-library loan service were collected and analyzed. Subject groups of this study are undergraduate students, graduate students and incumbent hospital employees including faculty members, training members and nondoctor members. For the result, medical library users intensively lent materials of Technology (Applied Sciences), Literature and Social science areas. Especially, the demand of the materials of literature was higher than the demand of the other subject areas compared in the base of collection development.
