본 연구는 독서공간으로서의 학교도서관에 주목하고 독서를 위한 학교도서관 이용 시 공간특성 요소에 대한 중학생 이용자의 인식을 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 선행연구와 예비 연구를 통해 공간특성 요소를 선정하고 각 공간특성 요소에 대해 학생들이 중요하게 생각하는 정도와 충족하는 정도를 살펴보고자 하였다. 그리고 이용자의 인식이 이용현황 및 학교도서관 독서활동 경험에 따라 차이가 있는지 살펴보았으며, 학교도서관 이용자 만족도와 지속이용의도에 영향을 미치는지 파악하였다. 더불어 공간특성 요소의 인식이 지속이용의도에 영향을 미치는데 있어 학교도서관 이용자 만족도가 매개 역할을 하는지 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 중학교 4곳에 재학 중인 342명의 학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하였다. 연구 결과, 공간특성 요소 중 소통성, 다양성, 안전성, 편의성에 대한 이용자의 인식이 이용현황에 따라 차이를 보였으며, 소통성, 쾌적성, 분위기가 이용자 만족도에, 심미성과 소통성이 지속이용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이 중 소통성, 쾌적성, 분위기는 학교도서관 이용자 만족도를 매개하여 지속이용의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 독서를 위한 공간으로서 학교도서관을 조사함으로써 학생들의 독서 지원을 위한 방안을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다.
Abstract
This study aims to understand students’ perceptions of the spatial characteristics of school libraries when they use them for reading. We selected a set of spatial characteristics by reviewing the literature and conducting a preliminary investigation. Then, we examined how students perceived the importance of and how satisfied they were with each characteristic. In addition, we investigated how students’ perceptions differ by the library uses and reading-related activities. We also studied whether the satisfaction of school library users affects their continued use of the libraries. We also verified whether school library user satisfaction is an intervening variable in continued-use intention, which is affected by spatial characteristics perception. We conducted a survey of 342 students from four middle schools. The analysis of the survey outcomes shows differences in library use due to spatial characteristics such as convenience, communicability, diversity, and safety. Factors such as communicability, comfortability, and ambience affected user satisfaction positively. Both aesthetics and communicability also positively influenced the continued-use intention. Furthermore, we identified that communicability, comfortability, and ambience eventually impacted the continued-use intention via user satisfaction, an intervening variable. The significance of this study is that it considered the direction of the school library to support students’ reading by regarding the school library as a space for reading.

기술의 발전과 더불어 스마트폰의 보급률 및 이용률이 높아지면서 현대인의 생활 방식에도 변화를 가져왔다. 그러나 이용성을 고려하지 않고 끊임없이 생겨나는 어플리케이션으로 인해 이용자들은 여전히 어플리케이션 이용에 불편함을 겪고 있다. 이용성 평가는 다양한 요인과 방법을 통해 이루어지며, 초기의 물리적 편의에서 이용자 중심의 이용에의 만족도 평가로 점차 변화하고 있다. 그 중 불특정다수가 제약 없이 널리 이용 가능한 교통정보 어플리케이션은 이용자 측면에서의 연구가 중요함에도 불구하고 어플리케이션의 기술적 측면 또는 디자인적 측면에 치중되어 전반적인 이용자 중심의 이용성 평가에 한계가 있어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 서울 대중교통을 중심으로 하여 실제로 이용되고 있는 모바일 대중교통 어플리케이션을 대상으로 실제 이용자들을 통해 이용성을 평가하고자 하였다. 과제 수행, 심층 면담, 설문 조사를 통해 데이터를 수집하고 분석한 결과, 이용자들은 어플리케이션이 다량의 정보를 제공한다 할지라도 본인의 이용 목적에 부합하지 않는 정보에는 큰 매력을 느끼지 못하였고, 오히려 방해 요인으로 여긴다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
As technology progresses, the supply and use of smartphones has become increasingly popular and has significantly transformed modern life. However, users still feel uncomfortable running some mobile apps, as many are created without a thoughtful consideration of usability. Usability evaluations involve several methodologies to identify specific problems in light of various principles. Although usability testing was initially centered on physical services, it has gradually evolved to consider user satisfaction as its main concern. Public transportation applications should be accessible to everyone, and studies should focus on the user’s perspective. However, previous user surveys have concentrated on applications’ technical aspects or visual design. As a result, there has been a lack of general usability evaluations. This study aimed to evaluate the usability of mobile transportation applications in real life, with a focus on public transportation in Seoul. All the participants were asked to complete a task, an in-depth interview, and a questionnaire survey. In summary, the results suggest that users do not find inappropriate information attractive when it does not satisfy their purpose of use, but rather tend to consider it as interference.

전자책은 전용 단말기 기술의 향상으로 꾸준히 주목을 받고 있으나, 전자책의 효율성과 인지도에 비하여 상대적으로 이용률이 낮다. 이 연구에서는 전자책 이용 환경을 개선하고 이용자들의 필요와 요구를 만족시키기 위하여 먼저 전자책의 이용과 이용성 연구 설계에서 제안하고 있는 원칙과 기존 휴리스틱 연구 유형에 대한 문헌 조사를 실시하였다. 이에 근거하여 전자책 이용 경험자들을 대상으로 목적성 표집을 하였고 모집된 22명의 실험 참여자들은 휴리스틱 평가를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 실험을 통하여 지적된 이용성 문제와 요구된 이용 편리성을 모두 종합하여 최종 10개의 휴리스틱을 도출하여 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to enhance the usability of eBook reader programs on personal computers through heuristic evaluation in order to learn users’ perceptions and derive key elements for interface design. For this purpose, the traditional usability evaluation and heuristic evaluation method were studied. A total of 22 evaluators of the heuristic evaluation were taken by purposive sampling to test the interface of eBook reader on PCs. This study suggested ten heuristics that focus on improving and specializing the usability aspects of reading digital materials.

본 연구는 법학전문도서관이 제 역할과 기능을 할 수 있도록 실질적인 평가 내용을 다루어 법학전문도서관의 역할과 나아가야 할 방향을 제시하였다. 특히 법학전문도서관 사서들을 대상으로 그들의 의견을 수렴하여, 평가항목을 도출하였고, 법학전문도서관의 주 이용계층인 법학전문대학원 학생들을 대상으로 그들의 요구를 조사하고 분석하였다. 특히 독립적이고, 전문적으로 법학전문도서관을 위한 평가를 지향하였다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있으며, 법학전문도서관의 건물과 시설 그리고 소장자료의 양과 함께 소장자료의 질, 법학도서관 사서의 기능과 역할 그리고 이용자의 만족도를 증진시키며, 외적인 면과 함께 법학전문도서관의 내실을 갖추는 것을 목적으로 하였다.
Abstract
This study investigated factors and issues for law school library evaluation. Also, this study suggested the roles and guidelines for law school libraries to perform its own role and function. To carry out the research, surveys were conducted with the law librarians. Then surveys were conducted to investigate law school students' demands and behaviors. Especially this study evaluated law libraries which were not carried out independently and professionally until now and meaningful as it thoroughly investigated users' demands and behavior with law school libraries and function and roles of law librarians. To facilitate law school library services and functions, quality of the collections, librarians' role, and users' needs should be considered as well as buildings and physical facilities. Particularly, users' needs assessment and librarians' opinion survey will be imperative in implementing evaluation.

의료기술과 생활환경의 발달로 인해 급속하게 노령화 사회가 진행되면서 노년의 삶에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 32명의 노령이용자와의 심층면접을 통하여 정보요구와 이용행태를 파악하고 정보 접근 경로 및 온라인 커뮤니케이션 방식에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 면담내용 분석 결과 노령이용자들이 주로 정보를 찾고자 하는 주제들은 건강과 뉴스, 여가 및 취미 생활로 조사되었고, 주로 이용하는 매체는 TV, 라디오, 인터넷, 가족 및 친지, 그리고 신문 등이었으며, 온라인 커뮤니티, 블로그, 소셜 네트워크 사이트와 같은 소셜 컴퓨팅 서비스는 현재 노령이용자층의 이용률은 낮지만 가족 및 사회 구성원과의 접촉 및 커뮤니케이션 기회를 확대함으로써 삶에 대한 만족감과 정신적 행복감을 증가시킬 수 있는 효과가 있을 것으로 인지하고 있는 것으로 파악되었다.
Abstract
The population aging occurs rapidly due to the advancement of the medical technology and living conditions and this led increased interests in how the elderly manages their lives. This study attempted to understand the information needs and behavior of the elderly users as well as to find about their information access and online communications. Based on the analysis of the interviews with thirty-two elderly users, they mainly looked for information on the topics such as health, news, leisure, and hobby. In addition, they primarily used television, radio, Internet, family members, relatives, and newspaper to obtain information. Their current use of social computing services including online communities, blogs, social network sites were low. However, the elderly users were aware of the social computing services’ effectiveness in increasing the satisfaction and happiness of their lives by expanding the opportunities for them to communicate with family members and other social members.
