본 연구에서는 국내 쇼핑 검색 사이트인 팝슈즈 이용자들의 정보 검색 행태를 조사, 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 팝슈즈에서 2015년 1월부터 3월까지 3개월 동안 생성된 검색 로그를 수집, 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 팝슈즈 이용자들의 검색 행태는 매우 단순하고 수동적인 것으로 나타났다. 이용자들이 정보 접근 시, 질의를 직접 입력하여 검색하는 경우보다 사이트에 구축되어 있는 디렉토리를 브라우징하는 경우가 더 많은 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 제품 정보 클릭이나 제품 주문과 같은 주요 의사 결정에 있어서는 브라우징보다 질의의 역할이 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 쇼핑 검색 서비스의 개선에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
This study aims to investigate information seeking behavior of Popshoes users. Transaction logs of Popshoes, a major Korean shopping search engine, were analyzed. These transaction logs were collected over 3 months period, from January 1 to March 31, 2015. The results of this study show that Popshoes users behave in a simple and passive way. In the total sessions, more users chose to browse a directory than typing and submitting a query. However, queries played a more crucial role in important decision makings such as search results clicks and product purchases than directory browsing. The results of this study can be implemented to the effective development of shopping search engines.

본 연구의 목적은 LG상남도서관 ‘책 읽어주는 도서관’ 서비스의 안드로이드 플랫폼 기반 서비스 구축과정과 모델에 대한 기술과 그 서비스의 유용성을 평가하는 것이다. 연구방법은 서베이를 통한 이용자 요구조사, 이용현황통계분석 및 이용자 인터뷰를 실시하였고, 도출된 중요한 연구결과는 다음과 같다: 1) 시각장애인이 스마트기기 사용에 높은 관심을 보였고, 스마트기기를 사용해 본 적이 없는 시각장애인도 비용과 접근성만 해결된다면 사용할 의사가 있음을 표명하였으며, 2) 스트리밍보다는 다운로드 방식을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 3) 육성과 TTS 음성 차이를 중요하게 생각치 않는 것으로 밝혀졌으며, 4) 희망도서의 종류는 연령별로 각기 다른 선호도를 보였다. 5) 2014년 거의 14만 건의 다운로드가 이루어졌고 - 피처폰에 비해 36.3% 증가, 6) 가장 중요한 기능은 책갈피와 페이지/목차 이동 기능인 것으로 판명되었다.
Abstract
This paper describes the process and methodology followed in developing the Android-based LG Sangnam Audiobook service and an evaluation of its usefulness to the public. The methods included a survey of user needs, analysis of usage statistics, and user interviews. The study found that visually impaired users: 1) were greatly interested and willing to use smartphones if there were no barrier in cost and access; 2) preferred downloads to streaming services; 3) did not mind performance differences between real and TTS (text-to-speech) voices; 4) showed marked differences in book preferences according to age, 5) made about 14,000 downloads in 2014; and 6) indicated bookmarking and moving between pages and tables of content as the most important functions in using audiobooks.

본 연구는 최근 많은 이슈가 되고 있는 빅데이터를 도서관 분야에 적용하여 다양한 형태의 도서관 빅데이터의 활용 가치에 대한 이해를 높이고 이에 대한 수요자의 요구 분석을 바탕으로 공공도서관 빅데이터 서비스 모형을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 도서관 빅데이터의 개념과 내용 및 가치 등을 고찰하고, 도서관 빅데이터 서비스에 대한 수요 분석을 바탕으로 도서관 빅데이터 서비스 모형을 개발하였다. 서비스 모형 개발을 위해 도서관 빅데이터의 유형에 따라 활용 가능한 도서관 빅데이터를 분석하였으며, 수요자의 요구를 다양한 방법으로 도출하였다. 수요자의 요구 분석은 도서관계 연구자 및 현장 사서와의 심층인터뷰, 표적집단인터뷰(Focus Group Interview, 이하 FGI), 사서 및 이용자 설문조사를 통해 이루어졌다. 이를 바탕으로 총 16개의 도서관 빅데이터 서비스 모형을 정의하고, 서비스의 필요성, 시급성, 개발 가능성을 고려해 최종적으로 사서 의사결정 지원 서비스와 이용자 도서 추천 및 독서이력 관리 서비스 모형을 개발하였다.
Abstract
Big data refers to dataset whose size is beyond the ability of typical database software tools to capture, store, manage, and analyze. And now it is considered to create the new opportunity in every industry. The purpose of this study is to develop of big data services in public library for improved library services. To this end, analysed the type of library big data and needs of stockholders through the various methods such as deep interview, focus group interview, questionnaire. At first step, we defined the 16 big data service models from interview with librarians, and LIS professions. Second step, it was considered necessity, timeliness, possibility of development. We developed the final two services called on ‘Decision Support Services for Public Librarians’ and ‘Book Recommendation Services for Users.’
