정보센터는 지식 집약적이며 조직의 업무프로세스와 조직구성원이 생성하는 지식자원을 공유 및 교류시키기 위한 조직으로 지식관리와 관련하여 매우 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 본 연구는 조직의 역량개발을 위해 중요한 의미를 갖는 정보센터의 지식관리 수준과 관련된 요인들을 살펴봄으로서 조직의 정보공유 및 지식교류 향상을 위해 고려되어야 할 사항에 대해 논의하였다. 조직문화, 지식의 중요성, 그리고 정보기술 지원정도가 지식관리에 영향을 미치는 잠재요인으로 파악되어 43명의 데이터베이스 전문 인력의 설문내용을 기초로 가설을 검증하였다. 연구결과 정보기술에 대한 지원정도가 크면 클수록 정보센터의 지식관리 수준이 향상되는 것으로 파악되었다.
Abstract
Information center represents an important source which seems very well suited for knowledge management investigation. Information center is knowledge intensive and the use of advanced technology may transform the knowledge of business processes for delivering an unique capabilities in an organization. To exam knowledge management, organization culture, importance of knowledge, and support of information technology were identified as potential predictors of knowledge management support in information center. Three hypotheses have been tested with 43 database management specialist surveys. This study presents that the level of information sharing and knowledge exchange is significantly influenced by the extent support of information technology.
초록
도서기호는 분류기호와 구별되어 도서의 서가 위치를 지정해주는 독자적인 장치로서 문헌의 기본기입요소, 즉 저자, 서명, 출판연 등을 포괄하는 문헌 속성의 조합으로 구성되어야 한다. 현재 우리나라 대학도서관은 동서용 9종과 양서용 2종으로 총 11종의 도서기호법이 사용되고 있다. 본 연구는 전국의 대학도서관 110개를 표본으로 선정하여 도서기호 업무를 담당하는 전문사서를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 현행 도서기호법에 대한 문제점과 현행 도서기호법을 수정하거나 새로운 도서기호법으로 변경할 경우 고려사항의 인식 정도를 조사하였다. 이에 대학도서관의 전문사서들이 인식하고 있는 도서기호법의 가장 큰 문제점은 도서기호의 중복과 효율적인 장서관리로 조사되었다. 아울러 현행 도서기호법을 수정하거나 새로운 도서기호법으로 변경할 경우 가장 고려해야 할 사항으로 도서기호 중복 해소와 기존체계와의 일관성 및 서가배열을 중요 요소로 인식하고 있음이 파악되었다. 이에 본 연구는 이러한 문제점과 고려사항을 기반으로 현행 도서기호체계의 개선방안과 다양하게 사용되고 있는 현행 도서기호법의 표준화 필요성을 제시하였다.攀＊＊＊Exchange Faculty, University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, IA(cho519@wm.cau.ac.kr) 논문접수일자 : 2004년 11월 18일 게재확정일자 : 2004년 12월 15일攀攀
Abstract
Book numbers can be defined as the device for providing a unique self location for each book. They should include main entry which consists of author, title, the date of publication. Now, the university libraries are using eleven different methods on book numbers, in other words, nine eastern methods and two western methods. The aim of this study is to investigate problems that the present book number system has and some concerns that should be taken into account in case of the modification of the book number system and change into a new one. This study is based on the survey in that the librarian gave to 110 university libraries throughout the nation. As a result, the survey indicates that the crucial concerns of the participathing libraries are ineffective book management and the duplication of book numbers. In addition, the survey indicates that the priorities of the libraries is removing duplicated numbers, adhering to the current system, and keeping the same book arrangement system. Therefore, this study suggests the components for the expansion of the book number system and the necessity of standardization of diverse book numbers.
