본 연구는 서비스 품질 평가 도구인 LibQUAL+를 활용하여 특화서비스를 제공여부에 따른 도서관 서비스 품질의 차이를 통해 공공도서관 특화서비스에 대한 이용자의 인식을 확인하고자 하였다. 분석결과 서비스 수준에 대한 평가 결과 특화서비스를 제공하는 도서관과 그렇지 않는 도서관 차이에 최소수준 및 인식수준에 있어 차이가 나타났으며, 기대수준은 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 서비스 정도는 특화서비스를 제공하는 도서관 그렇지 않는 도서관 보다 적정성 갭 및 우위성 갭에서 대부분 높은 이용자 인식을 나타내고 있어, 공공도서관을 이용하는 이용자들은 특화서비스를 제공하는 도서관이 그렇지 않는 도서관 보다 더 좋은 서비스를 제공하고 있다고 인식하는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study was intended to confirm the perception of the users for the public libraries specialized service through the difference in library service quality according to the availability of specialized services by utilizing ‘LibQUAL+’ that is a service quality assessment tool. As a results, there is difference in the minimum and perceived levels between libraries that provide assessment result specialized services for service levels and those that did not. And there was no difference in the expected level. The degree of service showed generally higher user perception in the Adequacy Gap and Superiority Gap than libraries that do not offer specialized services. Therefore, the users of public libraries recognize that libraries that offer specialized services are better served than libraries that do not.

전문대학은 4년제 대학과 더불어 주요한 고등인력 양성기관임과 동시에 수적으로도 막중한 비중을 차지하고 있음에도 불구하고 도서관발전 종합계획에는 전문대학도서관만의 열악한 특성을 고려하지 않고 전체 대학도서관을 활성화할 수 있는 방안들만이 제시되고 있어서 전문대학도서관은 여전히 소외되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 전문대학도서관들의 현황을 문헌조사를 통해 조사하여 전문대학도서관의 문제점을 도출하고 이를 기반으로 국가차원에서 지원해 주어야 할 정책을 6가지로 나누어 제안하고 있다. 즉, 전문대학 특성에 따른 장서개발, 전문대학 특성화에 따른 주제전문 도서관 구축, 전문대학도서관간 상호협력 강화, 전문대학도서관 서비스 강화, 전문대학도서관 법적 개선 및 평가지표 개발, 수요조사 연구 및 서비스 품질 평가 등이다.
Abstract
Community colleges are key constituents of higher education in Korea, along with four-year universities. The number of community colleges in Korea also holds significance. However, the main focus of the Master Plan for Library Development decisively lies in university libraries, with little consideration to the poor condition of community college libraries. This study aims to identify problems of community college libraries by conducting a document research on their current standing and, based on that, to present six policy proposals for government support. They are a) to develop library collections based on the school specialty, b) to build theme-oriented libraries, c) to facilitate cooperation between community college libraries, d) to reinforce capacities for library service, e) to improve legal status of community college libraries and develop an evaluation index, f) and to estimate demand and evaluate service quality.

본 연구의 목적은 한국근대문학 주제가이드에 대한 활성화 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 이용자 및 작가들을 대상으로 주제가이드 서비스에 대한 인지도 조사를 실시하고, 전문가 의견조사 및 수렴과정을 통해 한국근대문학 주제가이드에 대한 홍보방안 및 개선방향을 도출하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 활성화 방안은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다양한 홍보매체를 활용한 적극적인 홍보를 해야 한다. 둘째, 주제가이드의 유용성에 대한 이해 증진을 위해 이용자 교육을 제공하여야 한다. 셋째, 한국근대문학 주제가이드 서비스를 위한 별도의 사이트 구축이 필요하다. 넷째, 주제가이드 품질 향상 및 개선을 통한 효율적 주제서지정보서비스 방안으로 원문제공, 지속적 콘텐츠 추가, 유관기관과의 연계 등이 요구된다. 다섯째, 본 연구에서 분석된 성별, 연령별, 직업별, 학력별 요구도 차이를 기반으로 이용자 맞춤형 서비스를 제공해야 한다. 향후 연구에서는 주제가이드의 활성화를 위해 상호협력체계 모색, 구체적인 홍보전략을 제시하는 연구가 수행되어야 할 것이다. 또한 한국근대문학 주제가이드의 평가지표가 체계적으로 개발될 필요가 있다.
Abstract
The objective of this study is to explore the strategies to promote the use of the subject guide for Korean modern literature. To meet this objective this study conducted a survey on users’ awareness of the subject guide service and sought out experts’ opinions to identify the strategies to promote and improve the subject guide for Korean modern literature. The study proposes the following strategies: 1) Conduct promotional activities utilizing a variety of social media; 2) provide education for the user to enhance understanding of the utility of the subject guide; 3) build a website dedicated to the subject guide service for Korean modern literature; 4) provide an efficient subject-specific bibliography service by improving the quality of the subject guide, by offering full texts, ongoing content updates, and coordination with other institutions and agencies; and 5) tailor the service to user characteristics such as gender, age, occupation, and education level. Suggestions for future directions include research on the collaborative system, additional specific promotional strategies to promote the use of the subject guide, and development of evaluation indicators of the subject guide for Korean modern literature.
