서지레코드의 기술에 있어서 책임표시는 저작의 지적 책임 소재를 밝혀 주고 접근점을 구성하는 바탕이 된다. 그런데 목록규칙에서는 책임표시를 주된 역할과 부차적 역할로 나누고, 이에 따라 기술방법을 달리 하는데 치중하는 문제점이 있다. 역할의 중요도를 판단하여 순서를 매기기보다는 역할 자체를 구조화시키는 것이 우선이기 때문이다. 또한 목록에서 주저자를 선정한 것은 책임성에 따른 것보다는 저록의 작성이나 배열과 관련된 실무적 결정이었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 역할 자체를 구조화함으로써 책임표시 기술방식을 개선하고자 하였다. 즉, 역할어를 체계적으로 기술하여 서지레코드에서 분산되거나 접근점에서 제외된 책임표시를 집중시키는 것이다. 나아가 이를 통해 책임표시 정보의 품질을 제고하고, 역할어를 검색의 패싯이나 전거레코드의 추가적인 식별 정보로도 활용할 수 있음을 제안하였다.
Abstract
Statement of responsibility in bibliographical records plays a key role in clarifying intellectual responsibility of the work, and it also plays a role in making up access points. However, cataloging rules for the statement of responsibility mostly deal with the distinction between the principal role and minor roles. This becomes a problem because the responsibility type itself is more important than the order of the types. For this reason, in this paper I will explore improvements of the description methods of statement of responsibility by organizing the role indicators. Namely, using the role indicators more effectively than the current description methods do, we can collocate the dispersed statements of responsibilities. The role indicators can also be used for an author facet in information retrieval and can provide additional information for authority control.

주제명은 이용자가 어린이 그림책을 효과적으로 접근하도록 지원한다. 그러나 어린이 그림책은 다른 자료에 비해 표제나 목차와 같이 자료 자체에서 주제명을 선정하기가 어렵다. 또한 텍스트 외에 그림이 주는 정보량이 큰 편이다. 따라서 그림책의 주제접근을 위해서는 별도의 주제명 목록을 작성할 필요가 있다. 그런데 어린이 그림책에 일반 도서용으로 개발된 주제명을 그대로 사용하기는 적절하지 않을 수 있다. 주제명의 유형과 수준이 상이할 수 있기 때문이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 어린이 그림책에 적합한 주제명표를 개발하고자 하였다. 기본 주제명의 선정을 위해서는 영미권에서 발행된 그림책 주제명표를 참고하였는데, 이 과정에서 우리 문화와 언어에 맞도록 기존의 표목을 수정․추가하였다. 또한 그림책의 주요 독자층인 어린이에게 적합한 표목을 선정하기 위해 초등국어사전과 같은 참고자료도 활용하였다. 그리고 시범적으로 구축된 주제명표를 어린이 그림책을 대상으로 한 권장도서 목록에 적용하여, 주제검색이나 브라우징, 도서 추천 등에 활용하는 방안을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Subject headings support the effective access of children's picture books. However, it is difficult to select subject terms from titles or table of contents in children's picture books because of their relatively little textual information. Therefore, it is necessary to assign subject terms to each picture book. However, it is not adequate to use general subject headings because the types and levels of general subject headings are different from special subject headings for the children's materials. For this reason, this study aims to develop subject headings for children's picture books. The subject terms in A to Zoo were selected, and the selected terms were translated into Korean and modified for the Korean culture and language. Other reference books, such as Elementary Korean Dictionary, were also used to determine adequate terms for children. The resulting subject headings were assigned to the recommended picture books for children and used to search by subject, browse, and recommend books.

본 연구에서는 공공도서관의 서비스 프로그램 운영과정에서 생산된 ‘서비스 데이터’를 서지데이터와 연계하여 도서관 목록을 개선시키고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2015년에 우수 도서관으로 선정된 공공도서관 7곳을 대상으로 서비스 데이터를 수집하고 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 서지데이터와 서비스 데이터를 서지프레임워크를 적용하여 시범적으로 연계하고, 활용 가능한 인터페이스를 제안하였다. 본 연구결과는 1) 선별적이고 가치 평가가 포함된 서지데이터를 확보하고, 2) 장서의 생애주기 동안 서지데이터를 지속적으로 업데이트할 수 있게 되며, 3) 체계적으로 관리되기 어려웠던 서지데이터의 보존성과 공유 가능성을 향상시킬 수 있으며, 4) 시맨틱웹 환경에서 외부 링크드 데이터를 추가적으로 연계할 수 있는 서지데이터 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study aims to improve bibliographic data of public libraries by linking service data, which are produced out of library service programs. Service data collected from the seven award-winning public libraries were selected and analyzed. A Bibliographic Framework is used for linking bibliographic data and service data. Interfaces are also suggested for the two-way data linking. The results can be used to obtain 1) selective and value-added bibliographic data, 2) bibliographic data updated continuously throughout the lifecycle, 3) structured service data for preservation and sharing, and 4) bibliographic data linked to the additional external linked data.
