본 연구에서는 기관 레포지터리의 운영을 활성화시키기 위한 품질관리 요인들을 추출하고 그 중에서 유의미한 영향을 미치는 핵심 품질 관리 요인을 재추출하였다. 그리고 핵심 품질 관리 요인의 개선안을 반영한 운영모형을 개발하여 이용자에게 미치는 효과를 파악하였다. 개발된 기관 레포지터리 운영모형과 시스템 전반에 대한 만족도를 검증한 결과 일반 이용자보다 사서의 만족도가 더 높게 나타났다. 국내 대학은 저작자의 셀프 아카이빙 제출 방식보다는 사서의 대행 제출 방식을 선호하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발된 운영 모형을 기반으로 국내 대학도서관의 사서를 중심으로 한 기관 레포지터리 운영 활성화가 촉진될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study extracted quality control factors for invigorating Institutional Repository operations, and re-extracted key quality control factors with significant influence among them. Furthermore, this study developed an operating model reflecting an improvement scheme of these key quality control factors, and estimated how much effective the operating model was to the user. As a result of inspecting satisfaction for IR operating model and the general system, it has been found that librarians’ satisfaction for them is higher than that of the general user. Korea’s universities prefer a proxy submission mode by librarians to a self-archiving submission mode by writers. Therefore, based on the operation model developed by this study, it is suggested that Institutional Repository operation can be actively invigorated with librarians of these universities as central players.

본 연구의 목적은 기록관리기관이 공공 전자기록의 생애주기 전체에 걸친 관리 책무를 다하는데 소요될 비용을 예측해 산정하기 위한 모형을 개발하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 공공 전자기록관리에 필요한 활동을 분석하고 이를 기반으로 비용 요소를 설계하였다. 연구 초기부터 전문가 면담을 진행하면서 연구의 과정과 결과를 검토하였으며, 특히 실무 전문가 면담을 통해 비용 모형의 적절성과 적용가능성을 검토하고자 하였다. 이러한 과정을 거치면서 설계한 비용 요소와 비용에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되는 요인 등을 종합하여 기록관리기관의 정책 결정에 활용할 수 있는 공공 전자기록 관리 비용 모형, CoMMPER 모형(안)을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to propose a lifecycle cost model for electronic records & archival management. For this purpose, the study identified cost elements based on analysing public records & archival management activities and proposed cost factors for management by applying data gathered from records centers & archives. The study employed various methods: desk research, activity analysis, a cost information survey and interviews with experts in digital preservation, and records/archival management. The study made the first step to the cost studies in electronic records management in Korea. It is expected to update the CoMMPER model and redefine activities of electronic records management. Further case studies based on the model is required.

본 연구는 무형문화유산 기록물의 효과적인 관리, 검색, 활용을 위하여 FRBR 모형을 기반으로 한 메타데이터 요소들을 개발하였다. 무형문화유산은 추상적인 개념에서부터 이를 구현한 물리적 자료에 이르기까지 논리적 계층을 가지고 있고, 특정한 무형유산이 영상, 음향 등 여러 매체로 표현되기 때문에 다양한 연관 관계들을 충분히 표현하는 작업이 반드시 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 FRBR 모형에서 제시하는 제1집단 4계층 구조를 바탕으로 무형문화유산 및 관련 기록물을 저작, 표현형, 구현형, 개별자료의 4개 수준으로 나누어 각 수준에서 필요로 하는 메타데이터 요소를 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study develops metadata elements based on the FRBR model for effectively managing and retrieving intangible cultural heritage records. Since intangible cultural heritage has a logical layer from its abstract concept to a physical record that realizes the concept and it can be expressed in diverse formats such as video and audio, it is necessary to represent such rich relationships. Therefore, this study suggests a set of metadata elements at each of the four levels (work, expression, manifestation, and item) the FRBR Group 1 presents.

본 연구는 국내 대학도서관의 디지털참고정보서비스 현황을 분석하고 전자게시판을 중심으로 그 이용행태를 분석하여 향후 디지털 참고정보서비스 활성화를 위한 방법을 제언하고자 하였다. 205개 대학도서관 웹사이트를 분석하여 디지털참고정보서비스의 개괄적인 현황을 파악하고, 봉사대상 인구수와 도서관 웹 사이트 접속건수, 참고정보서비스 제공건수를 기준으로 선정된 4개의 대학에 실제 접수된 디지털 참고정보서비스의 질의유형, 답변의 구성형식, 정확성, 응답기간 등을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과가 대학도서관 디지털 참고정보서비스가 당면하고 있는 현실적 문제점을 파악하고, 이를 개선하기 위한 해결책으로 실제적인 지침과 모형개발의 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.
Abstract
This study aims to investigate the current state of digital reference services using electronic bulletin boards in Korean academic libraries and to suggest improvements. Through the examination of 205 academic library websites, 56 libraries were identified to use electronic bulletin for digital references. The digital reference service questions and responses from four libraries were further analyzed: the types of reference question, the structure and accuracy of answers, and digital reference completion time. The implications of this study for future research and practice lie in its provision of a systematic way to design practical guidelines for virtual reference services.

본 연구는 마케팅 분야에서 개발된 서비스 품질 모형인 SERVQUAL을 도서관의 실정에 맞게 적용한 ARL(Assoication of Research Libraries) LibQUAL+ 평가 프로그램에 국내 대학도서관 한 곳이 공식 참여한 과정과 결과를 제시하고 있다. LibQUAL+ 시행을 위해 영문으로 된 설문지의 번역, 설문 대상자 표본 선정, 설문 버전의 선택 등을 포함한 절차를 설명하고 있다. 또한 설문의 시행 결과로 입수되는 설문 데이터에 대한 설명 및 응답과 관련된 제반 사항에 대한 검토 결과를 제시한다. 마지막으로 설문 데이터를 통해 이용자 집단간, 타기관과의 다양한 비교 전략을 제시하고 있다. LibQUAL+ 프로그램은 단순한 설문도구가 아닌 총체적인 도서관 서비스 품질 평가 시스템이다. LibQUAL+ 프로그램에 참여함으로써 보다 체계적이고 국제화된 평가를 시행할 수 있을 것이다. 설문도구로서 LibQUAL+에 대한 비판에도 불구하고 LibQUAL+ 프로그램에 참여함으로써 국내 대학도서관은 새로운 평가 및 서비스 개선 노력을 경주할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 도입과 관련해서는 개별적인 참여 대신 다수의 도서관이 컨소시엄을 구성해서 참여하는 것이 바람직하다. 이들 도서관을 중심으로 학습공동체를 구성해서 워크샵, 사례발표 등을 통해 한 단계 높아진 평가 활동을 할 수 있다.
Abstract
The paper describes a case study in which Sungkyunkwan University Library participated in the official ARL(Assoication of Research Libraries) LibQUAL+ evaluation program. LibQUAL+ model is based on the SERVQUAL service quality evaluation model originally developed in the marketing area. It details a number of processes including translation of the LibQUAL+ survey instrument into Korean, selection of study sample and choice of survey versions. In addition, it offers a number of strategies that can be adopted in order to analyze the survey data for various comparisons among different user groups and institutions. LibQUAL+ is more that a survey instrument; it a holistic system for assessing library service quality. Despite criticisms on LibQUAL+, we expect that university libraries in Korean will benefit from participating in the program. It is preferable that a group of libraries form a consortium to participate in the LibQUAL+ program as opposed to individual participation. The consortium can function as a learning community through various workshops and sharing activities, thus elevate the overall evalution efforts in Korean libraries to a higher level.
