본 연구에서는 다양한 메타데이터간의 의미적 호환성을 유지하거나 개선하기 위한 기존의 방법론을 분석하고 크로스워크를 이용한 메타데이터간의 의미 호환 가능성과 한계에 대해서 검토한 후 메타데이터간의 의미 호환을 극대화하기 위한 의미적 메타데이터 매핑 프로세스를 제시하였다. 이 프로세스는 대상 메타데이터 스킴 확인, 공통 데이터요소개념(DEC) 발견, 데이터요소개념에 따른 속성 그룹화, 매핑 테이블 작성 등의 네 단계로 구성된다. 국내에서 개발된 단체표준 수준의 두 인력정보 메타데이터를 대상으로 본 연구에서 제안된 프로세스를 적용하여 매핑 테이블 작성 과정을 보였다.
Abstract
This paper contains an analysis of the methods that have been used to achieve or improve interoperability among metadata and discuss the possibilities and limits of semantic interoperability among metadata using crosswalk. After that a semantic metadata mapping process which is able to maximize the interoperability among metadata is suggested. The methodology consists of four steps such as identifying metadata schema, finding common data element concepts(DECs), grouping attributes by the DECs, and mapping into a table. An experimental application of the process was performed onto two human resource information metadata standards developed in Korea.
초록
시맨틱 라이브러리는 의미사전을 구축함으로써 EDI 전자문서의 교환에 활용될 수 있다. 본 논문은 실무 개발자들이 메타데이터를 이용한 의미사전을 개발하는 과정에서 참고할 수 있는 시맨틱 라이브러리 설계정보를 기술한다. 시맨틱 라이브러리를 구성하는 요소로는 크게 시맨틱 요소(Semantic Element)와 시맨틱 단위(Semantic Unit), 매핑 테이블(Mapping Table) 등 3개로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 구성요소들의 기본적인 특성과 개발 관련 설계 방법을 제안한다. 또한 이러한 구성요소와 제반 규칙을 준용하여 메타 데이터 간 의미적 교환을 위한 사전을 구축한 사례를 소개한다.
Abstract
Semantic libraries can be used for EDI messages to exchange by implementing the semantic dictionaries. This paper describes the design information of semantic libraries for the field engineers to implement the semantic dictionary using metadata. The components of semantic libraries are semantic elements, semantic units and mapping tables. The basic characteristics and design methods related implementing are proposed. Also the metadata semantic dictionaries including the components and rules are introduced.
