초록
초등학교 시기는 독서 습관 형성에 중요한 시기이므로 학생들의 독서 동기를 향상시킬 수 있는 독서 교육방안의 고찰이 필요하다. 본 연구는 독서교육이 학생들의 상황적 흥미와 내재적 독서 동기에 미치는 영향 관계를 파악하여 학교 현장에서 효과적으로 독서교육을 운영할 방안을 모색하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 초등학교 5, 6학년을 대상으로 심층 면담 및 설문조사를 시행 후 영향 관계를 통계적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 상황적 흥미에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 교사의 독서수업으로 나타났으며 상황적 흥미는 교사의 독서수업과 내재적 독서 동기의 관계에서 가장 큰 매개 효과를 나타냈다. 이러한 분석결과를 바탕으로 학교 독서교육을 효과적으로 운영하기 위한 방안을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Elementary school is a critical period for the students to form a reading habit. So it is necessary to consider the ways of reading education that can promote the student’s reading motivation. This study explores the effective applications of reading education in the school by testing the relationship among reading education, student’s situational interest, and intrinsic motivation. To this end, this study executed several in-depth interveiws as a pilot and a questionnaire survey with 5th and 6th graders in elementary schools. The survey results were statistically analyzed. As a result, teacher’s reading instruction had the most positive effect on the situational interest, and situational interest had the greatest mediating effect in the relationship between teacher’s reading instruction and the students’ intrinsic reading motivation. Based on the result, improvements in reading education were suggested for the students to form a good reading habit.

청소년의 진로 교육에서 다양한 교육적 시도가 이루어지고 있음에도 불구하고 진로성숙에 필요한 독서 방법을 제시하지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 인지적 관점에서의 독서가 진로성숙에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 이 과정에서 자기효능감의 매개효과를 확인하고자 한다. 2015 개정 교육과정에 제시된 독서방법을 차용하였으며 중학생을 대상으로 인터뷰를 진행하고 설문 데이터를 통계적으로 분석하여 독서방법, 자기효능감, 진로성숙의 관계를 확인하였다. 연구 결과 비판적 읽기는 진로 결정성, 확신성에 영향을 주며 감상적 읽기와 창의적 읽기는 진로 준비성에 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 비판적 읽기는 자기효능감의 자신감, 자기조절효능감, 과제난이도선호에 영향을 미치고 창의적 읽기는 자기조절효능감에 영향을 미쳤다. 비판적 읽기는 자기효능감을 매개하여 진로성숙에 영향을 주는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 진로독서교육에서 진로성숙과 자기효능감 발달을 위한 학습요소를 밝혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
Regardless of previous educational attempts in youth career education, there are not specific methods for reading to improve career maturity yet. This study aims to identify the reading method based on cognitive aspect which impacts career maturity and the mediation effect of self-efficacy in this process. This study tries to understand the roles of reading by applying the various reading methods suggested in the 2015 Revised National Curriculum. Data was collected through interviews and statistical analysis from a survey completed by middle school students. Findings showed that critical reading affected the decisiveness as well as the confidence of career maturity. Also, emotional reading and creative reading influenced the preparation of career maturity. Critical reading impacted all subvariables of self-efficacy - confidence, self-regulating efficacy, and task difficulty preference. Findings also showed that emotional reading affected self-regulating efficacy. Ultimately, the confidence of self-efficacy partly mediated critical reading and decisiveness. This study contributes to guiding reading instructions for practitioners and school curriculums to develop career maturity and self-efficacy.
