본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 어린이도서관 온라인목록의 인터페이스를 분석하여 문제점을 진단하고, 기존시스템의 개선과 새로운 시스템의 설계 시에 고려해야 할 방향을 제시하는 것이다. 먼저 국가도서관통계시스템에 2011년 12월 현재 등록되어 있는 공공어린이도서관 77개관의 홈페이지에 접근하여 온라인 검색 기능이 제공되고 있는 시스템을 분석하고, 추가로 확인 가능한 어린이도서관 온라인목록을 분석하였다. 인터페이스의 특성을 약간 달리하더라도 동일한 유형의 시스템을 사용하는 어린이도서관의 수를 확인하여 많은 수의 도서관이 사용하는 시스템 유형을 우선적으로 분석의 대상으로 선정하였다. 또한 소수의 도서관이 사용하는 시스템이라도 그 특성을 달리하는 시스템을 분석 대상에 포함시켰다. 위와 같은 과정을 통하여 선정된 분석 대상 온라인목록의 유형은 총 7가지이다. 7가지 유형에 대하여 각각 검색방식, 검색결과의 제시화면, 용어 사용상의 문제, 제공하는 기능의 측면에서 분석하여 문제점을 진단하고 개선방향을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze and evaluate the characteristics of online catalogs’ interface of children’s libraries, and to propose how to design user-friendly interfaces. The online catalogs of 77 children’s libraries which are registered on the National Library Statistics System as of December 2011 were analyzed. They are categorized into 7 types based on interface’s characteristics. Such topics as the features of search methods, the record display formats, the terminology usage, and the special features of the 7 types were examined and discussed. Some shortcomings were examined and how to improve them was suggested.

본 연구의 목적은 사서교사의 특성 변인에 따른 조직 커뮤니케이션 만족도가 학교도서관의 정보․교육서비스에 끼치는 영향을 분석하고 학교도서관의 교육적 역할 활성화에 주는 시사점을 도출하는데 있다. 분석 결과 사서교사는 업무수행에서 상사 및 동료와의 대화와 면담 등 비공식적 커뮤니케이션과 수평적 커뮤니케이션을 선호하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 성별, 경력, 학교 급 등 사서교사의 특성 변인에 따라서 이용자 교육, 도서관활용수업, 독서교육 프로그램 및 정보활용교육 운영 방식 등에 차이가 나타났다. 특히 비공식 커뮤니케이션에 대한 만족도가 높을수록 교과연계도서목록 제공이 증가하고 있으며, 수평적 커뮤니케이션이 정보활용교육을 활성화하는데 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 학교도서관 운영과 관련된 공동체 구성원에게 학교도서관의 비전과 목적을 알리고 책임과 역할을 분명히 하기 위해서는 수평적 커뮤니케이션 수단인 협조문, 위원회, 협의회 등을 활성화하고 적극적으로 참여하여야 한다. 또한 비공식 커뮤니케이션의 한계를 극복하기 위해서는 사서교사의 리더십 개발, 동료교사에 대한 맞춤형 서비스 제공을 위한 마케팅 전략 수립 등의 노력이 필요하다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of organizational communication satisfaction of teacher librarians on the informational and educational service and to draw implications for improvement of the school libraries' educational role. According to the results of the analysis, teacher librarians have preferred informal communication by conversation and face-to-face talk with superiors or co-workers and horizontal communication during their performance. Characteristics of teacher librarians, such as career, gender and school levels, have influential effect on user education, library- assisted instruction, reading and information literacy instruction. The more teacher librarians felt satisfaction of the informal communication, the more textbook-related reference lists are offered. Horizontal communication have a positive influence on information literacy instruction. However, teacher librarians should utilize cooperative statements, committees and councils and actively participate in those horizontal communication methods to share the vision and aims of school libraries with the larger school community. Teacher librarians also should put more efforts into developing their leadership role and marketing strategies in order to overcome the weaknesses of informal communication.
