초록

새로운 지식 창조 활동으로서의 정보문해의 중요성에 대한 인식이 점점 높아감에 따라 미국, 영국, 호주와 뉴질랜드 등의 국가에서는 1990년대 후반부터 고등교육을 위한 정보문해 표준을 제정하였으며, 정보문해 과목을 일반 기초과정으로 개설하는 대학이 점점 늘어가고 있다. 본 연구에서는 대학도서관의 시설과 인력자원을 활용할 수 있는 일반 기초교육과정으로서의 교수-학습 모형을 구안하여 제시하였다. 이 교수-학습 모형은 북미대학도서관협회, 영국대학도서관협회, 호주뉴질랜드정보문해연구소의 정보문해 표준과 뉴멕시코 주립대학, 해이워드 캘리포니아 주립대학, 동인디애나 주립대학 등에서 정규 교육과정으로 개설되고 있는 정보문해 교육 모형을 토대로 개발되었다. 강의의 구성은 한 학기 16주 과정에 적용될 수 있도록 총 13개의 강의 모듈로 이루어졌다. 본 연구에서 개발한 교수-학습 모형의 만족도를 조사한 결과 평균치 이상의 값이 나왔다.

Abstract

Information skill, which means information technology skill and information handling skill, is related to the aims and processes of higher education as a knowledge creation activity. In this study, a curriculum design is proposed for the development of the information literate student. The framework of this curriculum derives form the US Information literacy standards for higher education 2000, the UK Information skills in higher education 2004, and Australian and New Zealand Information literacy framework 2004. The teaching plan and content is based on the information literacy programs of NMSU, CSU Hayward, and IUE. It is proposed that the development of the idea of information literacy requires a collaborative and integrated approach to curriculum design and delivery based on investigation of user's satisfaction with the curriculum.

초록

The purpose of this study is to present a theoretical framework and practical methodology to extend the scope of Library and Information Science by incorporating the usability evaluation of e-book, which has considerably increased in proportion in the digital library. By surveying e-book users and through statistical analysis, it was found that rebuilding a set of usability evaluation factors for e-books is necessary to activate e-books in the digital libraries. 초록

The purpose of this study is to generate the local level knowledge structure of a single document, similar to end-of-the-book indexes and table of contents of printed material, through the use of term clustering and cluster representative term selection. Furthermore, it aims to analyze the functionalities of the knowledge structure, and to confirm the applicability of these methods in user-friendly information services. The results of the term clustering experiment showed that the performance of the Ward's method was superior to that of the fuzzy K-means clustering method. In the cluster representative term selection experiment, using the highest passage frequency term as the representative yielded the best performance. This experimental study proposes a multi-document summarization method that produces optimal summaries in which users can find answers to their queries. In order to identify the most effective method for this purpose, the performance of the three summarization methods were compared. The investigated methods are sentence clustering, passage extraction through spreading activation, and clustering-passage extraction hybrid methods. The effectiveness of each summarizing method was evaluated by two criteria used to measure the accuracy and the redundancy of a summary. The passage extraction method using the sequential bnb search algorithm proved to be most effective in summarizing multiple documents with regard to summarization precision.
