대학도서관은 유학생들이 학습 자원을 얻는 가장 주요한 정보원에 속하므로 유학생들의 학업에 미치는 영향이 크다. 그러나 현재 대다수의 대학도서관은 영어를 제외한 다국어 지원 서비스를 적절히 제공하지 않기 때문에 영어가 모국어가 아닌 유학생들의 학업 수행을 어렵게 만들 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 대학도서관 서비스 중 다국어로 제공할 수 있는 서비스를 유학생 맞춤형 서비스로 정의하고, 이러한 맞춤형 서비스가 대학도서관 이용자 만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 더 나아가서, 본 연구는 유학생 맞춤형 서비스를 적절히 제공하고 있는 대학도서관의 유학생들과 그렇지 않은 대학도서관의 유학생들의 이용자 만족도를 비교하였다. 이를 위해 서로 다른 두 대학에 재학 중인 중국인 유학생을 대상으로 설문 조사하여 총 138부의 응답을 분석하였다. 본 연구는 유학생 맞춤형 서비스가 유학생의 대학도서관 이용 만족도에 영향을 미친다는 것을 발견하였다. 특히, 다국어 서비스의 지원은 안내 책자/표지판, 홈페이지를 통한 자료 접근 및 이용, 그리고 이용자 교육 등과 같은 서비스에 대한 만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 본 연구의 결과는 대학도서관이 유학생들의 학업 활동을 효과적으로 지원하는 서비스에 대한 실질적 함의를 시사한다.
Abstract
An academic library is one of the largest information sources for international students to obtain learning resources, which have a great impact on their studies. However, most academic libraries currently have not provided adequate multilingual services except English, which makes it difficult for international students whose mother language is not English to perform academic work. Accordingly, the present study defines the customized services for international students as the ones that have been supported in ltiple languages among academic library services and aims to examine their effect on user satisfaction in academic libraries. Furthermore, the study has compared international students’ satisfaction with academic libraries - one that provides appropriate customized services with the other that does not. The surveys have been conducted with Chinese international students in two different universities and a total of 138 responses were analyzed. The study found that the customized services for the international students influenced their satisfaction with library use. In particular, multilingual services had positive effects on satisfaction with services such as brochures/signs, access to and use of resources through the homepage, and user instruction. The findings of the study suggest practical insights on how academic libraries provide effective services for supporting international students’ academic tasks.
초록
본고는 학교도서관에서 사서교사가 실시하는 협동수업의 효과적인 수행을 위한 연구에 초점이 있다. 협동수업은 학교도서관을 활용하여 일반 교과 (국어, 영어. 사회, 과학, 국사 등)의 수업을 교과 교사와 사서교사가 협동으로 실시하는 수업이다. 본고는 학교 교육의 중심축인 교육 과정과 교과 수업을 위한 기반 이론인 교수설계 이론 등을 바탕으로 한 협동수업의 모형 개발과 실천 방법을 이론-모형-지원에 의한 3단계로 제시한다.
Abstract
This thesis has a research focus in effectively Practicing cooperative instruction where teacher-librarians play a role. The cooperative Instruction means to practice cooperatively with the subject teachers and teacher-librarians, in teaching subject matters(Korean, English, Social studies. Science, History, and so forth), using the school library. This thesis presents three steps by theory-model-support for a practice method through developing a cooperative instruction model. This is based on curriculum which is an axis of school education and an instructional design theory which is a base theory for subject matters
초록
주제명은 이용자가 어린이 그림책을 효과적으로 접근하도록 지원한다. 그러나 어린이 그림책은 다른 자료에 비해 표제나 목차와 같이 자료 자체에서 주제명을 선정하기가 어렵다. 또한 텍스트 외에 그림이 주는 정보량이 큰 편이다. 따라서 그림책의 주제접근을 위해서는 별도의 주제명 목록을 작성할 필요가 있다. 그런데 어린이 그림책에 일반 도서용으로 개발된 주제명을 그대로 사용하기는 적절하지 않을 수 있다. 주제명의 유형과 수준이 상이할 수 있기 때문이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 어린이 그림책에 적합한 주제명표를 개발하고자 하였다. 기본 주제명의 선정을 위해서는 영미권에서 발행된 그림책 주제명표를 참고하였는데, 이 과정에서 우리 문화와 언어에 맞도록 기존의 표목을 수정․추가하였다. 또한 그림책의 주요 독자층인 어린이에게 적합한 표목을 선정하기 위해 초등국어사전과 같은 참고자료도 활용하였다. 그리고 시범적으로 구축된 주제명표를 어린이 그림책을 대상으로 한 권장도서 목록에 적용하여, 주제검색이나 브라우징, 도서 추천 등에 활용하는 방안을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Subject headings support the effective access of children's picture books. However, it is difficult to select subject terms from titles or table of contents in children's picture books because of their relatively little textual information. Therefore, it is necessary to assign subject terms to each picture book. However, it is not adequate to use general subject headings because the types and levels of general subject headings are different from special subject headings for the children's materials. For this reason, this study aims to develop subject headings for children's picture books. The subject terms in A to Zoo were selected, and the selected terms were translated into Korean and modified for the Korean culture and language. Other reference books, such as Elementary Korean Dictionary, were also used to determine adequate terms for children. The resulting subject headings were assigned to the recommended picture books for children and used to search by subject, browse, and recommend books.
