초록

본 연구에서는 다국어 시소러스에 수록된 디스크립터간의 관계를 온톨로지 언어로 표현하는 실험을 수행하였다. 대등관계는 equivalentClass와 equivalentProperty, sameAS 등으로, 그리고 연관관계는 ObjectProperty을 비롯하여 DatatypeProperty, inverseOf 등으로 표현할 수 있었다. 이러한 언어를 기반으로 실제 AAT에 배정된 디스크립터와 ICCD에서 구축한 다국어 시소러스의 디스크립터를 대상으로 디스크립터의 한글화 작업이 수행되었으며, 다국어간 개념일치를 위해 패싯개념이 시소러스 구조에 이용되었다. 본 연구를 통한 실험의 결과 다국어 시소러스를 온톨로지로 표현하기 위해서는 속성관련 온톨로지 언어를 사용하는 것이 가장 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다.

Abstract

In this study, the experiment was made to transform the relationship among terms in a thesaurus to ontology language as search tools for multilingual text. As a result, the equivalent relationship in the thesaurus can be expressed by different ways in the ontology, such as equivalentClass, equivalentProperty, sameAS, and so on. On the other hand, the associative relationship can be represented by ObjectProperty, DatatypeProperty, and inverseOf. For this test, first of all, the descriptors assigned by AAT and the descriptors from bilingual thesaurus by ICCD were translated into Korean. Then, the facet was used for conceptual equivalence among terms from different languages. The result of the study showed that using rdf:Property in ontology was the most effective way of transforming multilingual thesaurus into ontology.

초록

이 연구에서는 위키피디아를 활용하여 시소러스를 갱신하고, 그 결과를 평가함으로써 시소러스 갱신에 있어 집단지성의 활용가능성에 대해 확인하고자 하였다. ASIS&T 시소러스를 대상으로 시소러스를 갱신한 결과, 용어 포괄성의 측면에서 ASIS&T 시소러스에 비해 위키 시소러스가 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 갱신된 시소러스를 평가한 결과, 위키피디아가 시소러스 갱신에 활용될 수 있음이 증명되었다. 특히, 리디렉션, 카테고리, 상호 링크로 요약되는 위키피디아의 구조적 특성은 시소러스의 의미관계를 추출하는 데 있어 적합하다는 것을 확인하였다. 이 연구의 결과를 일반화하기 위해 다국어 시소러스를 포함한 다양한 시소러스를 대상으로 적용해 볼 필요가 있다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to suggest how the classic thesaurus structure of terms and links can be mined and updated from Wikipedia encyclopedia, which is the best practice of collective intelligence. In a comparison with ASIS&T thesaurus, it was found that Wikipedia contains a substantial coverage of domain-specific concepts and semantic relations. Furthermore, it was resulted that the structural characteristics of Wikipedia, such as redirects, categories, and mutual links are suitable to extract semantic relationships of thesaurus. It is needed to apply to update various thesauri, including multilingual thesaurus, in order to generalize the results of this research.

과학기술 분류표, 시소러스, 용어사전 등의 주요한 색인 및 검색 도구를 한국어, 영어, 일본어의 3개 언어로 통합 구축하고 활용할 수 있도록 다기능, 다국어 과학기술 통합 개념체계의 개발 방안을 마련하였다. 개념을 기본 단위로 시소러스 모델을 개발하였으며, 용어사전 레코드는 ISO 12620 표준에 근거하여 필수요소를 지정하였다. 또한 과학기술분야 표준분류표를 대분류 수준까지 작성하고 기존 분류표와의 매핑 테이블을 작성하여 다른 분류표를 통한 접근이 가능하도록 하였다. 시소러스, 용어사전, 분류표의 원활한 상호 연계와 운용을 위해서 통합 개념체계 모형을 설계하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 통합 개념체계를 이용하여 원자력 분야를 대상으로 한 프로토타입 시스템을 구축하고 실제 검색 사례를 제시하였다.
