웹기반 교육 자료들이 폭발적으로 증가함에 따라 적합한 자료들에 보다 효과적으로 접근할 수 있는 방법이 요구되고 있다. 이러한 새로운 방법들 중의 하나로 사회적 네비게이션(social navigation) 기반의 사회적 검색(social searching)이 정보 검색 분야에서 제시되었는데, 이는 동료 이용자들로부터 제공된 정보를 바탕으로 검색 결과의 향상을 추구하는 기법이다. 본 연구에서는 개인화와 사회적 네비게이션에 근거한 웹 기반 사회적 검색 시스템을 구축하였으며 이용자 연구를 통해 이용자에게 적합하고 필수적인 정보를 제공할 수 있는 방법이라는 것을 검증하려 하였다.
Abstract
The explosive growth of Web-based educational resources requires a new approach for accessing relevant information effectively. Social searching in the context of social navigation is one of several answers to this problem, in the domain of information retrieval. It provides users with not merely a traditional ranked list, but also with visual hints which can guide users to information provided by their colleagues. A personalized and context-dependent social searching system has been implemented on a platform called KnowledgeSea II, an open-corpus Web-based educational support system with multiple access methods. Validity tests were run on a variety of aspects and results have shown that this is an effective way to help users access relevant, essential information.

최근, 키워드 기반의 정보검색의 한계를 극복하기 위한 구조문서 기반의 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있지만, 실제 적용에는 많은 어려움이 존재한다. 본 고에서는 구조문서에 대한 본문검색시스템을 제안한다. 본문검색시스템에 적용된 문서는 XML로 구축된 국가연구개발 보고서를 대상으로 하였으며, XML 연구보고서의 DTD, 본문 간의 이동을 위한 네비게이션 정보추출, 본문검색을 위한 검색엔진의 적용 방안에 관하여 살펴본다. 본 시스템은 XML 문서에 대해 문서의 구조정보를 저장하고 이를 검색하여 다양한 형태로 열람할 수 있는 검색 엔진의 부재 상황을 본문검색이라는 방법으로 극복하기 위한 것이다.
Abstract
Recently, to overcome the limit of keyword based retrieval system, the study based structured document has been studied. But it is hard for structured retrieval system to adapt a real service, in this paper, we propose a method of retrieval mechanism for the ful-text of XML documents. We explain DTD of XML based report, extracting navigation information and planing to adapt the retrieval system for article retrieval. Using the fulltext retrieval scheme, suggested system can be an alternative plan of professional structured based retrieval system.

본 연구는 문헌정보학 분야에서 논의되고 있는 웹 정보 네비게이션의 개념에 대해 보다 명확한 이해를 위해 그 개념정의에 따른 핵심적인 특성들을 분석하고자 한다. 웹이 등장한 1995년을 기준으로 최근 2012년까지 문헌정보학 분야 국외 학술지에 출판된 총 32편의 웹 네비게이션 연구 논문들을 정성적 내용분석과 담론분석을 통해 웹 네비게이션 개념의 정의유형과 그 구성요소와 특징들을 조사하였다. 웹 정보 네비게이션 개념은 크게 네비게이션 행위, 네비게이션 전략, 네비게이션 디자인으로 구분되며, 행위적 특성에 따른 네비게이션 유형 비교는 네비게이션 전략과 디자인 요소들의 상호관련성을 파악하는데 개념적 틀로 제시되었다.
Abstract
The study aims to analyze the notion of web navigation in library and information science (LIS) by investigating the concepts and its consequences. The analysis is based on 32 articles published in international LIS journals between 1995 and 2012. The study noted the changing contexts of information retrieval in the Web environment, and discusses the changes over time in the way in which the notion of navigation have been regarded. Three main concepts are identified: navigation behavior, navigation strategies, and navigation designs.

본 연구에서는 한 번 방문한 이용자들의 방문횟수를 계속해서 유지시켜줄 수 있는 패션잡지 사이트의 구성에 대하여 연구하고자 한다. 이용자들이 사이트들을 쉽게 방문할 수 있게 하는 방법에는 여러 가지가 있겠지만, 홈페이지의 구성이 이용자들에게 어떻게 받아들여지느냐에 따라 많이 작용될 것이다. 그러므로, 이를 위하여 국내에서 운영중인 웹 패션잡지 7개를 선정하여 웹기반의 패션잡지의 이용 편리성을 콘텐츠, 디자인, 네비게이션, 서비스 측면에서 측정하였다. 또한 40명의 10·20대 남녀 피험자들 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 통해서 7개의 웹 패션잡지를 탐색하게 한 후에 최종 이용자의 행태를 조사·분석하였다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 콘텐츠, 디자인, 네비게이션, 서비스 측면에서 제공할 수 있는 패션잡지의 효과적인 웹사이트 모형을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purposes of this study were to examine the features of web fashion magazines and to suggest an effective website model for them. Seven web fashion magazines were analyzed. The evaluating criteria included: contents, design, navigation, and services. In addition, online-questionnaires were sent to 40 end users to obtain the information regarding user behaviors on the elected web fashion magazines. The results show that a suggested model should include various aspects: 1) providing currents information. 2) consistency in design, 3) easy in navigation, and 4) searching function etc.

본 연구에서는 교육 도구로써 위키의 가능성을 탐색하기 위해서, 위키 환경인 구글 사이트에서 협력학습 기반 그룹 프로젝트를 수행하는 학습자들의 행태와 인식을 조사하였다. 이를 위해 파일 업로드, 웹 페이지 사용, 댓글, 네비게이션 바와 관련된 개별 학습자 및 그룹별 형태 분석과 구글 사이트 사용에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과를 토대로 구글 사이트를 활용한 학습자들의 협력학습 기반 그룹 프로젝트 활동의 특징을 논의하였다. 또한 협력학습의 교육적 효과성과 학습활동 진행 과정 평가의 용이성을 증대시키기 위하여 위키 환경 시스템이 어떻게 개선되어야 하는지를 제시하였다.
Abstract
The study aims at investigating students' behaviors and perceptions regarding the collaborative learning based group project using the wiki environment. The study utilized Google Sites as a case, and analyzed file unloads, the use of web pages, navigation bars, and comments as well as surveys. The study discusses main characteristics of students' activities in the collaborative learning group project, which are drawn from the analysis of students' behaviors and perceptions. The study also provides implications for improvement of wiki environment to support collaborative learning in education.
